I’m 40 (a retired truck driver) and my wife 34 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for us this early even till now we earn monthly through passive incomee..

      @@donaldgaff2271 You are right, I am one of many who has benefited from investing with Regina Louise Collaro. 2020 is an unforgettable year in my life, back then I lost my job due to covid and had no reason to live. Regina made a good life possible for me through passive income and I owe her my life. To be honest, I feel like she is an angel of who was sent to help those who are suffering financially.

    • @ianelbert
      @ianelbert  ปีที่แล้ว

      If another company was offering significantly more pay then I’d probably try them out. But I never had any problems dealing with Melton and they treat their drivers great, which is also very valuable. So as long as Meltons pay is still competitive if/when I decide to drive some more I would probably pick them again.

    Is that all net pay ? Would you recommend for someone to come from europe to work as a truck driver ? I currently get paid around $1700 a month which is standard in europe. Are the expenses quite alot in the US ? Thanks for the video

    • @ianelbert
      @ianelbert  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes that’s all my net pay. Your expenses will depend a lot on how much stuff you want and where you live. I lived in south Texas so while I was renting a nice apartment it wasn’t very expensive. And the car I have isn’t anything fancy but it’s paid off so I didn’t have any car payment. If you’re single and living in the truck (not renting anywhere) you can spend as little as $1k per month, while making $4-$6k per month driving, even with no experience.

      @@H80989 thanks to Bidenomics, prices went up each year. End of President Trump I spent 60-70$usd on groceries and currently the cost for the same exact things(I don't like change so I buy exactly the same things as I always do)is $110 and gas is higher, electricity is higher even though we are going green and we have massive solar farms and wind farms in Texas which you'd think would drop prices on kilowatt hours because wind and sun are free electricity because all the wind turbines and solar panels are subsidized and massive tax right offs yet the electric companies keep jacking rates . Hopefully trump wins a Honest election but until then don't come to USA. Inflation is making it hard to live and wages haven't went up as promised. Biden destroyed America basically

    Is this net or gross ?

  • @jonmolina948
    @jonmolina948 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You’d have netted $60,000 had you stayed for a year. You would definitely make more later on or with another company and save a lot if you’re living in the truck.
    But if you’re okay with $60k, that’s any job that’s $23-24/hour with 500 hours of overtime (~50 hours a week which is still much less than 70hrs in trucking). Any trade job will get you that.

    • @ianelbert
      @ianelbert  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yep, you probably won’t make six figures your first year driving, but within a short time you can get there if you make the right choices.

    • @richardlopez3868
      @richardlopez3868 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah but you basically live at work then just sleep at home and do very minimal things before you got to return to work

    • @ianelbert
      @ianelbert  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@richardlopez3868 Yes, for some people that’s okay, especially if you enjoy OTR driving. For me it worked out great because I got to see the country, do a job I enjoyed, make good money, and save most of it. Of course that’s not the case for everyone, as we all have different goals and needs. Some people think a CDL is a golden ticket, but there’s a lot to consider. The OTR lifestyle isn’t for everyone

    • @BeKindToAll03
      @BeKindToAll03 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, working 70 hrs and making 12-1300 dollars is close to minimum wage. It seems that most truckers are too stupid to realize that

    • @JJason406
      @JJason406 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@BeKindToAll03an you save 50k a year working a minimum wage job at burger King? Otr drivers get per diem so they pay less taxes. Net pay ends up being 10k more per year vs local.Don't need to rent a apartment, no utility bills don't need to own a car. No need to commute to work.if you do the math you need to make around 30k more per year with a local job to equal the same amount you make doing otr
