  • An ACL tear, a reconstruction in fall 2020, a long recovery, an interruption as I move across the country, a Covid-19 infection, chronic complications, mountains of school stress, and more recovery. It's been a ride!
I just decided to fool around a bit now that I'm working my way back into the gym and something resembling a workout routine. I'm not doing anything fancy, but with my energy and motivation coming back, I feel that I may finally continue on my quest to regain some of the strength, speed, flexibility, and overall joint function that I used to take for granted.
In case you're interested in a timeline:
November 2019 - torn ACL (judo practice)
May 2020 - get super stressful (but necessary) job
September 2020 - ACL surgery (finally)
March 2021 - quit stressful job
July 2021 - move from TX to MA for school
August 2021 - catch Covid-19 (double vaccinated, still got sick)
September 2021 - develop "long Covid" issues (brain fog, chronic fatigue, etc.)
January 2021 - finally start feeling more normal, return to gym
    Future - ??

Thanks -- Any bit of progress is good news, given how difficult things have been for the last several months.
