    I got my note 8 in September 2017, roughly when it was released in the UK. Nearly 2 and a half years later, it’s still flawless and works the same as it did back then. And I’ve finished paying the finance on it 5 months ago! The best phone I ever bought hands down.

  • @E_Stew
    @E_Stew 4 ปีที่แล้ว +59

    The Note 8 is a great phone!!...I still have mine since it was first released..with no issues. 😊
    One thing about the Note 8 is that Samsung made sure that THIS phone would be flawless!! Keep in mind that they had those MAJOR issues with the Note 7...TWICE!!, so they weren't about to go through that whole ordeal all over again with the Note 8. This phone is a BEAST and will stand the test of time because it's built with quality...Top to bottom. Get it if you want to save money and have a great phone. Forget about spending a thousand dollars on a new phone that is not at all technologically superior from the Note 8 by leaps and bounds. It takes great pictures and videos. It's fast. The battery is great. Gaming is fantastic. The UI is nice ( One UI is available for it now). The colors, text, and watching videos on it are all crisp and clear. The call quality is really good. Sound quality is good and loud, even though it has only one speaker. You won't have any regrets if you purchase a Note 8 in 2020...I promise you that. 😊

      @ Edwin Stewart - People are saying the same thing about the Note 4. It is the best Note phone Android ever made. Some people are still using it, and the reason some are not, because Android put an update out there to create problems so people could upgrade to a newer phone. I was told that people in Italy sued Android for doing that. That's probably why you can't hardly find a Note 4 anywhere, because people know what they had, a very good phone! I wish I had a Note 4 for backup. My Note 9 is a Beast, too.

      I originally bought the phone to use as my exclusive camera to record videos in this format. I could use my other flagships if I wanted, but the G7 works perfectly fine so there's no reason to use any of the others.

    I've since upgraded to a new phone but I still use my Note 8 as a dash cam. It's probably not as good as a good dedicated dash cam but it has one of the better smartphone cameras so it's good enough. Plus I can use it for both my vehicles. Just a simple magnet mount in both vehicles, a good dash cam app, and micro sd card (recommend using a high endurance rated one).

    One of my favorite phones. I use Apple 11 Pro Max for work. Had to down grade to iPhone 7 Plus for finger print ID. I hate putting in my password every time I use my work apps. Unfortunately, that became a pain because of gloves. Solution was bring back my Note 8 from the drawer. I changed the battery and switched to clear back for some fun. Now I am happy because I can use the iris scanner to use my work apps. Solves face ID and finger print ID problem with masks and gloves. Samsung had it right in 2017! Too bad they never developed iris scanner further.

    I owned one of these (Midnight Black) to replace my demised Note7until I decided to upgrade to Note9. Honestly there are just few things I disliked about it is the positioning of the fingerprint scanner which is way high up than on the Note9 which for me is just perfect. And then the lack of combined Iris Scanner and Face Recognition (yes I know it have both of them but you can only use one at a time) compare to Note9 which can use both at the same time. Also it doesn't shoot 4K@60fps which I really liked about my Note9 and my Note10+. Also knowing Samsung they only support major software updates for around 2 years and afterwards you only get patch updates for 1-2 years and that's basically it. Which sucks knowing that it is a flagship and should support 3-4major updates just like on iOS. Now I'm rocking a Note10+ as ammy daily driver and I'm very happy with it for I find the fingerprint sensor more consistent and accurate compare to those of the Note8/9 tho it may not be as fast as a physical sensor. I also love the stereo speaker and the bigger battery on the Note10+. Tho I am thinking if I want to get a third phone I may get a refurbished Note8 or Note9 probably given they are just below $250. My grandma is rocking an Note9 tho. Hahahahahahahahahaha! #TechGrandmas
