iPad or iPadPro $329 - $750 usd (in Education Store), Renewed Note 9 under $400usd, and an Asus Screenpad laptop $750-1000ish plus Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. You get all windows benefits plus a tiny extra screen, most Apple benefits via iPadOS, all Android benefits plus Dex and Spen when needed. Plus the iPad can be your 2nd/3rd laptop screen with Duet or if your travelling light, there's probably an hdmi tv or monitor where your going and you can just use Dex... or get a Note 20 Ultra. It a damn shame Samsung got rid of Linux on Dex...

I just ordered my wife the Note 9. She's upgrading from my old Note 4. That phone has been one of the best phones we've ever had, but we haven't had any luck with getting a good replacement battery for it, even OEM just won't charge right so battery life with the original is horrible and it's becoming glitchy at times and is on a much outdated OS, so no support. You've chosen wisely to go to the 9. So much better of a phone for a good price comparatively. Was considering the new Moto G Stylus for $300 but decided to see what I could get a Note 9 for and am so glad I went this route (got it for $300). The G Stylus can't compete with it, except in it's camera.

I got a preowned Note 9 and while it was pretty dirty when it arrived, some elbow grease, patience and a soft bristle toothbrush brought it to a very nice shine, the previous owner put a glass screen protector that Sprint techs didn't remove, so secret added bonus, the screen is flawless, that was my only quibble with a PO phone was the screen HAD to be near perfect, and this is, I am 100% satisfied with my used phone.

I had my Note 9 when it first came out. I usually upgrade my phone when there is a new release, mainly due to new specs, aesthetic, and the device just being a lot slower. I still use my note 9 and there is no sign of it slowing down, and people still always ask what phone this is. I do a lot with music and the headphone jack is still nice to have, and the features on this are still very relevant. I don't see me needing an upgrading anytime soon.

Excellent phone i had an s8 which I loved and when it was time to upgrade I couldn't choose between the note 9 and s10 plus in the end because of the camera and one ui 2.1 I went for the s10 plus but yeah still worth it in 2020👌

I have been using it almost two years (the brown one) and still it’s the best Samsung phone experience I have ever had. I prefer its screen to my iPhone X. A complete full screen display with no notch or drop; in emersive mode it’s just awesome. Performance is very good, lagging minimum. Samsung’s timely patch update makes this phone even consistent in performance. The SPen has almost all the beautiful features. At its present price, this is a good gain overall.

Still using my Note 9 as my work phone. Still day 1 smooth or better. Probably the pinnacle of smart phone design... No notch or cutouts.. BIG beautiful display... Headphone jack. Absolutely love this phone. And with the Gcam port the camera is actually excellent... Even more reliable than the S20 Ultra.

Just got a big paycheck and wanted a new flagship phone. After some research I bought a used Note 9 with SD card for 280$ instead... 2 years old but has both iris, led, and pretty decent fast charging with a sweet 4000mah battery. Screen is barely used and no scratches... Pretty happy with the deal. Could probably make a better buy with one of the one plus models but I kinda like s pen.

I been using my 512/8gb ram factory unlocked note 9, it's probably the best phone available for the price that had everything and does everything and plenty of power to run any app or game available right now.. love my note9 so much I even bought the 128gb model. The camera is still very good with all the updates it's received.
It should get one UI 2.1 very soon

I even got mine working on VISIBLE WIRELESS and it gets much faster speeds than the ZTE blade a7 prime lol of course. The ZTE don't even support b66 which is a major speed band in my area, and the ZTE on has 2 carrier aggregration, the note can aggregate 6 but Verizon only has 4 carrier aggregration anyways.. great phone though, I use it on metro by TMobile and consistently pull +150mbps any time of day..

Got Note 9 about 6 mths after it came out...love it....fast great display dont use S pen a lot but great when I need to magnify stuff or translate with S pen.....love when I use Smartthings to mirror to my smart TV and now have Android 10 and 1ui 2.0 which helps a lot.....get a lot more than A71....IP RATING is important and may get Iui2.1 in summer but not definite....I paid almost full price but happy I did.....

    *heart rate scan
The only thing minor i dislike is the 8mp selfie camera its kinda low quality image not like the rear camera but its ok

On paper Apple's Bionic A13 crushes note 9 Snapdragon, there's no discussion there otherwise note 9 has some advantages over the newer "budget" iphone, like bigger screen ratio, beautiful design and good performance even against the New flagships, unless you are an apple fan I recommend you the note 9, otherwise go for the apple SE2 is you don't want to spend lot of money for the 11 pro

  • @Timmyk5150

I actually "downgraded" my Note 10 plus to this phone (traded another person for it straight up) simply for a headphone jack alone. I drive an old school classic car that has an auxiliary port and had to use a Bluetooth transmitter for the 10 plus. It's a real pain in the ass to charge it once every 3-4 days. Also the biometric features being the physical fingerprint sensor and the iris scanner are plusses, too!!!

  • @thall6076

i traded my note 9 when the note 10 plus was released, and i missed my note 9 so bad and when samsung was running a smoking deal on the note 9, 2 months ago i purchased me another note 9 i missed the fingerprint sensor on the back on the phone and missed the size plus i had over 10 cases or more for the note 9. don’t get me wrong i love the note 10 plus and they both are power houses and i am a samsung fan and always will be.

Fyi turn off adaptive display on the note 9 or all other Samsung devices. Thank me later theres a big causing the screen to have a greenish yellowish tent to it. If this occurs send a quick text message to yourself but make sure u lock the phone simultaneously or it will not work. When u receive the message an the screen turns on quickly unlock it using the fingerprint. U will have to do this every time the phone screen does this.

Watching on my note 9 with 8GB RAM and 512GB. My previous samsung note flagship was note 4..Yup..ancient...and then jump straight to note 9 and im still using it since their release 2018. My reasons are no ugly notch and punch hole camera, it has a headphone jack, and the massive internal memory space via hybrid dual simcard and external memory slot. Worth it...

The battery on my Note needs to be replaced. I will keep using One UI 2.1 and Android 10 for as long as the security patches are released, then I will try LinageOS for as long as it is viable to use so before getting a new flag ship.
