Note 8 here for 11 months now. Like day one! Very happy. Believe it or not, but this time around it's really not as tempting. It's better to stay with the Note 8 and see what the next Note brings. I really don't understand why MOST reviews keeps saying to wait because of the S10. Note users will be waiting for the next Note..🤔

The note 9 has 4000mah and battery could last longer but with my note 8, I might not going to have issues with battery life but one ui is coming and it will have improvements though. It is what it is. Note 8 is worth it. So i gonna buy The note 8 over note 9. S10 came but they would drop the price more. 300 on Amazon and eBay.

I got a brand new Note 8 months or so ago and I bought it from Ebay in original box. When I bought it I had the Note Edge which I really liked but there's a big difference.You would really enjoy the Note 8 as it has a whole lot more features then the Note Edge/Note 4 which basically is the same except for curved edge on one side.

I do and it's amazing, well.. it would have been if the battery would last me a full day without extra charging.
That's why i pre-ordered the 9, 10 more days untill i can hopefully leave my charger at home!
Bottom line is, it's a "Note", whether it's Note 8 or Note 9. This means you have the best phones in the world, need I say anymore.

Note 8 used to be too big for my hand but after the release of the note 9 which is bigger, wider, thicker and heavier than the 8. I'm now glad that with note 8, I've got the perfect phablet for me

Yes, my note were completely dead few weeks after updating software. Apple too was so slow to download... Now I use Sony Xperia Z...I had it for 3yrs it not as nice but at least it saves me tons of money.

I prefer the fingerprint scanner on the note 8 over the note 9. I just naturally hold my phone in a way where the scanner is in the perfect spot for me. Everyone has their own preference though.

Farzeen Farooqui yeah. The phone is really wonderful like the specs and everything. Most advanced out there! The only thing is that they don't look the best in my opinion which kinda makes me not wanting to get one.
I agree the black camera looks better but the 9 looks better overall. The color looks more premium. The 8s blue looks more plastic-ish the screen is slightly larger on the 9 which is more appealing to the eye. And the pop of color on the s pen is dope. I wish they released more colors here in the US. Also the only thing I don't like about Samsung is you can't send GIF texts.
Happy with my note 8. Dont feel like dropping another 1000 for tiny little upgrades that I probably wont even notice.

@@noncustody Performance doesn't just refer to the speed which you open an app. It's also how fast video loads and how well games run. I don't know about how they got the 30% statistic, but you could easily measure the ping and frame rate of games and compare them.

Who wants to keep buying batteries? so you're getting an outdated product already, the batteries can't even perform at full function as they could 3-4 years ago even if "new" or "oem". So now you can't even replace the battery and you have to buy a new phone anyway. I needed to upgrade also, I get too comfortable and oppose change

I got my note 8 back in 2017 its been three years and i'm still using this phone. its been great but the battery life sucks. I wish this phone had a better battery.
Yup. Battery is poop, have to charge it twice a day or maybe 3 to get a day use out of it.
In Nov 2019, the Note8 is on par with Samsung Galaxy A70's price of 150 BD, and the Note8 is really worth it.

I'm thinking of upgrading from my Note 5(😬😬) and I'm trying to decide which one I go with. The 8 seems to make more sense because I don't really need some of the extra stuff in the 9, but if it's cheap enough I may skip the 8 and just go straight to the 9.

Have had an 8 for 5 yrs, on it at the moment. Has been absolutely phenomenal, no problems. Thinking of buying a 9 unlocked just because i wrecked my screen. They're only like $250 now. I think i paid 1100 for my 8 when it came out.

Watching every reviews of Samsung Note releasing a new version almost every year yet can't afford to buy any of it. 😅 I am just a fan of Samsung Note. 😂

They recently added Slow Mo and Super Slow Mo to the Note 8 with the One UI update. I have the phone and am very pleased with the addition.

Ben Jensen my Note 8 is running fine two years now has a 200gb sdcard in there. Running One UI, Android Version 9. Not sure if it will be supported with future updates though.

Just one question (everything else has been said both here and in the other videos). What's the difference in the blue color of the devices? I was blown away with blue Note 8, but it wasn't available, had to get the black one. Blue Note 9 seems very close, but I'm not as impressed. Thoughts? I never thought I would ever want any phone that wasn't black, but Note 8 in blue was... can't find the words to describe it. Perfection.

Actually Note 9 has more features than Note 8 due to the following reasons:
- Twice the storage i.e. 128 GB for the base model vs 64GB or 8 times for the high model i.e. 512 GB
- Stereo speakers
- Dual camera with variable aperture along with dual flashes
- Higher capacity of battery which was the main point for Note 7
- Better heat management for long term use
- Improvement on S-Pen
I will personally trade a Note 8 for Note 9 because the latter will last longer as daily phone and fixed majority of shortcomings from the former.
Luya Tshimbalanga it's still a $650 trade-in. I'm a heavy user and I might use half of the storage. New features are nice but cant really justified spending $650 for a few features that you cant barely tell.

Thanks for the update! Though I’ve had an Apple ecosystem for several years, prior to that I had a Note (can’t remember which iteration). I really loved the Note, but ended up going the cohesive route of the ecosystem. I am very much leaning towards the Note 9 at this point, though giving up some of the advantages of the integrated ecosystem will be hard. Unless something huge jumps out when in-hand reviews begin to come in, I still see myself crossing the isle back to the Note 9 now. I love the business perks, coupled with the primary abilities of the camera and the storage make it hard to ignore. I do not like the slow updates that Samsung has to contend with, but you can’t have everything I suppose. Any recommendations on quality cases? I’m too hard on my phone (plus grandkids) to not have the protection.

Watching it on my galaxy note 9. Wish I can actually use the phone the way it should but it unfortunately that I don't even know much of what I have. Still learning how to use it
I got my Note 8 almost exactly one year ago now on Black Friday 2017. Best Buy had an absolutely killer deal on these phones then and I managed to get it for only $585 which was easily the best deal I could find for a phone at that time. It really came down to between the Note 8 and the iPhone X for me and the iPhone was simply too small for me in the end. I'd say I have been very happy for the most part with my Note 8 in the year that I have owned it, with one significant issue that I have noticed only recently: the screen has clear burn-in.
This was a surprise for me considering I've previously owned (and still have) a GS4, Note 5, Note 7, and GS7E and none of them has ever suffered from burn-in. I place most of the blame on the TH-cam app (and myself for not realizing it) because if you watch videos holding the phone in portrait, the actual video remains on screen in the same position while you scroll through the comments below. What happened is that the video player in the TH-cam app has permanently burned in on the top third of my display because of my heavy TH-cam usage. Just something to be aware of for any owners of an AMOLED phone. The current TH-cam app WILL burn the video player into your screen if you watch a lot in portrait mode.
Other than that the Note 8 has been just as flawless as all my previous Samsung devices, suffering from none of the supposed lag Samsung phones are always accused of. I even run Nova Launcher with a fully customized layout and interactive wallpaper and the Note 8 handles it like a champ. I really have little interest in the current flagship phones as they are all pretty much just a mild evolution of last year's flagships and the Note 8 is still about 90% as good as a Note 9 or the iPhone XS Max. Will probably be getting the Note 10 next year though!
I'm not convinced to upgrade to the 9. Let's see if the Note 10 can sway me.

I keep the note 8 because of where the bio sensor is located. I hold my phone with my left hand and my index finger lines up perfectly with that spot. Its the only reason why I didn't upgrade. I may skipp note 10 as well.

I've got the Note 8, and for my hands anyway, the fingerprint scanner placement is perfect when I pick it up with my right. I also like that all of the sensors on the back, including the fingerprint scanner, are part of one big rectangle....it's a nice look. I love a lot about the Note 9 of course, but I'll be keeping my Note 8. Not worth it just yet.
Note8 user myself and been happy with it for almost a year now. Battery life is awesome which I use zerolemon battery case thats $30 that lets me to be able to game on it for 12+ hours straight if I wanted too
I had a note 2 and loved it. I currently have an S7 that I've had for a few years and while I did like it, it's definitely time for an upgrade. I have screen burn-in, slow processing, and worst of all is the battery life. I'm so tired of barely getting through a shift at work with out my battery dying. I think I'll go for the Note 9. It's just a little more expensive per month but the battery life and storage seems worth it.
i personally dont like the glass backs that most phones have now, it makes the phones look really greasy and old looking

Try to gently clean the charging port contact's. Sometimes with pocket lint and even light corrosion from the exposed elements can cause problems with charging over time.

Most of these things can be unlocked or added to Note 8 already.. Stereo speaker mod that plays through earpiece and Dolby, Dock Dex, and a $10 bluethooth shutter keychain.
Currently have note 5 and looking to upgrade to either note 8 or note 9. Want opinions if note 9 is worth the price difference now that note 8 price is dropping. Thank you in advance for your help.

"Incremental Update"....Bigger Battery, AI Camera, Bluetooth Pen, up to 1TB storage, bigger screen, more memory, fingerprint moved, upgraded CPU, stereo speakers by akg, dual aperture primary camera, I'd say that's a massive upgrade.

Yes It's Me mate most normal people will only realise the longer battery life. Don't think most people spend hours playing Fortnite, Use an S-Pen to take photos or need 1tb of storage. How many songs or films can one have. Lol.
For a normal working person with a slight passion with the Note will NOT see a huge upgrade with the Note 9.
Oh and it's nice that AI tells me someone's blinked in the photo or that there's food Infront of me but I'm sure my eyes can also do that for me. Not a huge upgrade, stop listing features and start listing how most people could benefit from the upgrade above the Note 8!

Not very massive cpu upgrade at all 6.3 to 6.4 display same spec? Camera barely noticable? Minimal batter extension during testing? Definately not worth upgrading fron 8 to 9
