Your saying the screens more saturated just change the screen mode. Also it's worth noting that the s9 has some screen issues like mine if it's used on higher brightness like on car trips holidays. What it causes is the top 1/3rd to be brighter
And don't even need a new phone, I'm just here for the "Which is better"

@@aguy255 also same, I will be holding on to the S9+ for a long while, don't normally do that with Samsung but I will keep this till it stops getting security patches or until the battery dies on it and needs replaced because the design is perfect and performance has been rock solid.

used s9+ are very close in price with the a51 anyway... the s9+ is a no brainer, lets not forget it will age better performance wise, a flagship is still a flagship after 2 years
I think it's a personal preference. A51 comes with android 10, has a bigger screen, bigger battery and bigger internal storage. S9 is older, which mean it won't receive many more software updates

Assassin Master25866 pixel 4 is good but battery sucks and not the best performer out there for the price...and not even talking about the horrid design...very average video recording...I really wanted to get it...but my ocd...just can’t handle that design from google sorry... I mean the only good thing google phones are good at is photography and software unique features. The screens are solid but not the best. And they have some unique software features which they use as secondary selling points

So far I think im going with A51 over S9.
But i have a question. The performance rating score difference. A51 was about 170,000 and S9 was in the 340,000.
But what does this mean?? How does this affect performance and what performance is it measuring?
When you pulled up the camera its same.
When you Pulled up a video its almost the same.
You said the S9 is better performance but how much better? WHAT does the performance rating measure that makes the s9 double?
I dont understand this rating.
Im not a gamer so speed of movement doesnt matter. Bit it DOES matter if i click on a vid and get the buffering circle for 30 -60 seconds. It also matters if there is great lag going from one window to another.
The other thing that is NEVER mentioned in comparison vids is the KEYBOARD!!!!
I think this is the 3rd most important feature and no one talks about it.
Does the keyboard have the number row available on main keyboard? Or am i going to have to hit the arrow key just to get to the number row?
And punctuation.. how accessible is this? On the flagship LG G4 you had to hit a key just to get a comma which i hated. I also want this on main keyboard. On google keyboards you have to make 2 extra keystrokes just to get to a punctuation mark and the emoji key is right beside the space bar which made me uninstall it within a minute !!!
So is there a way to see keyboards on these two phones?

I use the iris scanner whenever my hands are too dirty for the fingerprint scanner. Comes in handy more than you'd think.

It's more reliable, and you can use it in the dark.
I used the iris scanner on my Note 8 all the time. One of the big reasons I switched phones from the Note 8 is because I prefer a flat screen. I am currently on the iPhone 11, as I use both iOS and Android, frequently switching back and forth.
That's great, instead of being a loyal to one company, we As consumers should go after which has better the price to value product.

Just had someone give me a s9+ for free because it was "broken" I replaced the back and the loud speaker and its pretty much brand new for a total of 31$ and about 30-45minutes of my time.

I own an S9. The only thing that is"not good" on the S9 is the battery. Everything else is just better.
Even considering the small battery, i can stil get about 5.5h to 6h of screen on time which is pretty decent. This could dramatically vary since I've seen people get barely 4h SoT.
It might be your charger, I had a similar problem
I'm roughly getting about 4-5 hrs the idea of getting a New phone seems to far fetched as I have phone for many Years to come
My S9 plus battery is still quite good, but it can be replaced at a Samsung service center for around 75 dollars I'm told.
I keep my phone on medium power saving all the time, which doesn't really change the user experience but let's the phone easily last around 8 hours
Love my s9plus but man the battery life is really bad.

i just switched from the S9 to A51 and didn't pay anything on top. Pretty happy with my desicion, finally a battery that gets me thrpugh the day easily.

My Samsung galaxy s9 just turned 2. I have screen burn out (red tinge, had for a few months) and the battery will not last all day, it will be at 75 % and have in pocket for a few hours and it will be at 50%. I do love this phone. But it's two years down the track I don't think it will last another 2 years so would be hesitant to buy a phone that is 2 years old.
Note I got the phone in Australia and now live in UK so couldn't get the screen burn for free
About a year ago (December 2018) I switched to a Samsung Galaxy S9+ after having several iPhones for over 6 years and to be frank it's the best phone I've ever had! Everyone told me that Android phones would get really laggy after a few months but mine is just as snappy as it was a year ago. 10/10 would recommend

@@veer0522 ... A51 has a quad camera setup with a macro on, the front cam is 32mp. CPU is Exynos 9611(it's a midrange chipset but actually do the job for a midrange phone with this price). And the displays are pretty the same but A51 has 407 ppi. So, i guess it's better. It has a On-Screen fingerprint which is a fixed version. The build quality is better on s9, ok but they're both using the same screen protector. A51 has no notch while s9 do. It doesen't count but you get the A51 with an Android 10 and a better OS and UI; that's the only mid range that has Android 10 out of the box though. So, yeah... s9 is the worse one here, though i'm not saying that the s9 is bad or anything i'm just comparing them. And it's obvious thst A51 one is better; s9 is old afterall.

Same the s9 without a case is very slippery no matter how much u try to avoid it falling out your pocket. But it looks so beautiful without one. My s9 so far has taken a small beating and no cracked screen but I hope I dont jinx it lol
I love curved screens too, it looks more premium and side bezels are gone that makes the oled display more appealing.
S9 and the S9+ specifically is basically the perfect phone. Performance still holds up super well and the hardware is still on point.
But the battery will degrade

Kevin I'm curious does unlocked phones models on Amazon and other online merchants, do these phones models come any bloatware compared to the same phones models at carriers? Example,does a Samsung Galaxy A71 from Amazon or some other online merchants, have bloatware compared to that same Model at T-mobile, At&t or Verizon?

Watching this video was great; I have the EXACT same S9 as this test model!
I shoot pictures, always using Pro Mode for full camera adjustability. The lack of a few features doesn't bother me. My S9 is not my base or main camera; I use my Nikon DSLR.
I also bumped up my external storage to 512gb. The screen size on my S9 is perfect, I LOVE The rear-centered fingerprint sensor, and aux jack option , seeing fingerprints on my screen is irritating (I use a stylus)!
My S9 is DEFINITELY a TROOPER & KEEPER!

This a hard one. My number priority with one ui is ram.cpu is fast enough in both of the phone. Then after that is personal preference. I would go a51

Not really. They both look like flagships. A51 looks more current with the punch hole design, versus bezels of S9.

Hey Kev! Just thought I'd let you know that the Galaxy S9 One UI 2 beta's actually out right now when you go to the Samsung Members app. No official version has been released to any of them yet.
But I'd say if you want to make TH-cam videos, the Galaxy S9 is definitely the better choice. The S9+ definitely served me well for making my TH-cam videos. Great camera, but great microphones as well.
Also I'd imagine the Snapdragon 845's gonna be better long term as well. You also get wireless charging, water resistance (which the seal may not be as tight anymore), and Samsung DeX! Overall, I'd say go for the S9.

I paid 300$ for my S9+ in relatively good condition (works flawlessly) that's a way better deal than the A51

what can i say, the trend in 2020 will be... midrange is the new flagship.
Dont be fooled by the multiple camera, even a single cam of pixel 3 XL can beat quad cam. Soc is obviously lower, flagship chips in midrange can only be seen in some midrange. Huge companies like Samsung, BBK electronics etc. wont put that to their midrange. Budget is the only reason why most people prefer midrange
@@byn669 thats a bingo, i still got one plus one (with good battery replacement), samsung just follow market demand in most region to compete with chinese phone, few people buy phone with price above $350, most people buy new phone with under $300 price every two year in asia, in germany even 4 year old phone is still used if it still alive.

It looks like a poor man's note 10. But the s9 is just a better phone. But I would take the a51 because of the size factor. 5.8 inches vs 6.5. but had he done a s9 plus or a note 9, I would go with either the note or the s9 plus.

Battery capacity is already reduced in s9 so it's not a good option for long term use.

hey, how does your s9 hit 340k on antutu, i got s9+ but i got 260k
Both phones are winners used Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 used Samsung Galaxy phone from Amazon renewed is good option to save money also Samsung Galaxy A51 is awesome option at good price range. Swappa is excellent place to look for refurbished Samsung Galaxy 9 used or Galaxy note 9
Samsung fixed its A50 problems and made new improvements which make the A51 the best new budget choice from samsung, With just little older flagship you are getting all the flagship feature and personally i would prefer flagship over budget option because:
1. Its more popular which means every problem you get will have tutorials and ways to fix it in the internet plus that companies are overall going to care about it more than anything else in their mobile department.
2. It has a much better camera because cameras arent about the megapixels or the number of cameras in the back because if it was like that then why the hell chinese companies cameras arent considered the best in the world ?
Its because the software and the way of processing photos of the camera is what matters, Thats why the iPhone 11 Pro and the Google Pixel 4xl are the best in the world (as phones) even though their camera megapixel count is 12 and they dont have the full 4 camera setup but what companies focusing are is developing and researching the software of the camera.
3. It has alot of custom rom support, Which to be honest are fair for both budget and flagship nowadays unlike my budget phone from 2014 which has like very limited options.
4. Its a flagship and because its a flagship (assuming you are getting from samsung) it has almost every feature that you could put in a phone such as heartbeat monitor Iris Scanner etc..

You are forgetting that the S9 has stereo speakers, IP68 waterproofing and wireless charging. But I say if you dont need those things then get the A51.

Galaxy A51 is better in literally everything except for the CPU and if you dont like one ui you could custom rom although i highly doubt because personally i really like the new One UI 2.0 features and gestures and the thing that its based on Android 10 so it has the latest update rn

the s9 is almost 100€ more expensive brand new in my country
it's a great phone but the a51 seems more interesting for the price
