      @@duffysgarage1196 sorry just seen this comment. It was originally going in my 1953 Ford Mainline. Now I planning on putting it in my 1987 Ford Ranger. But only N/A for now. Gonna be trying to source some more parts did Ford make a factory bellhousing for a Ford T5? Instead of spending $900 on a quick time. Also got ahold of bill for a harness.

      @@1953fords yes they had a t5 on the BA and early BF model falcons with barra. Then mkii Bf went t56. I have a t5 manual gearbox with bellhousing in the shed

    oil pump....were you upgrading that too....
    I curious...
    Also...if you
    air filter, headers, exhaust system...
    what you think about that???
    is all this...... without a turbo...
    will it be fast....
    please advise my friend...
    I'm going to get a Barra....
    I will be spending alot of money...on doing all those
    adjustments.....on it...

    Hey mate, the first barra i did my valve springs on i used compressed air to hold the valve up (as per the factory SM) but she kept trying to kick over... did you just rotate each cylinder to TDC and let the valve drop? i couldn't see any air being used for yours. I have another to do the exact same to on a stand, so should be easier than in car.

      Yeah mate, tdc for the cylinder yours working on and it can only fall approximately 5-10mm max

    isnt the LPG engine a green top? thought the red top was the xr6 turbo engine? nice video

      Yeah, the lpg is usually a green top engine (sometimes silver too) i have changed my rocker cover to a fg xr6t red cover as it has a few differences. I ended up using the green rocker cover anyway though. 👍

      Yeah good shit mate great video. Really trying to learn a lot and have a go myself just to teach myself. Going to get myself a Barra an engine stand and have a tinker only way to learn I guess. Loving the Barra vids mate cheers

    I got 700rwhp on my patrol (@barra_gu) , and I bloody love it.
    Being a 4bee you thought on whether you wanna run 98 or e85?
    I opted for water meth and pump 98.
    Males top power with 98 and also doesn't chew through the fuel like e85.

      98 pump, going pcm tech tune with multi maps for 91-95-98 + E85. Cheers!

    Does the sump have to be removed to do oil pump gears or can that stay on asking for myself

      Sump off engine because you will need to remove the oil pickup tube from the bottom of the oil pump.

    Hey mate hope u been well!
    I am about to buy a turbo barra engine outta a xr6 turbo, so the engine needs bottom end rebuild as the oil pump failed and spun a bearing whats any good mods i can do while i am there to get some decent power, ot willing to spend thousands tho

    How clean is that Barra on the inside. Must have been in service for only a few weeks before it came out of the car!

      Hey @geotard, that's something I've picked up on with our two Egas to turbo conversions we've done here, the insides are immaculate, looks like brand new! Especially noticeable when you put it side by side with one that came out of the factory running straight petrol or even dual fuel..

      @@BaLoShIi34 Blow by would be cleaner for LPG than petrol. I had a straight LPG system years ago, pristine bottom end and top end. I kept engine immaculate so hard to tell if it was LPG or not. Seeing these Barras after years of standard use in such good nick confirms LPG much cleaner fuel on the engine internals :)

    Aren't all fg motors strong? Or the same?

      nope, FG has basically 2x types, the N/A "Weaker" and the Turbo "Stronger" there is a N/A engine which is the same as the Direct Injection LPG engine(Silver Tops), then there is the Turbo engines which is basically the same as the LPG (Green Top) Basically silver tops are weak and anything with a coloured rocker cover can handle power (Red, Blue, Black, Green) In short.

      The LPG engines have stronger rods than the NA petrol engines. LPG engines are usually more affordable than a factory turbo engine. Also the LPG engines tend to have clean internals as a bonus.
