My R/T was broken from the factory and sold it to me like thar. I was told that it was normal and after 20k. I went out on me and was told that it's my fault, but they had to fix it for me under warranty anyway. Then after they fixed it. I definitely noticed the difference. It's no longer making this hissing sound when you pressed on it. If you tell me I can't drive a manual. I have driven manual vehicles since I was 10 years old in the philippines. Of course, I didn't have a license then. I decided to get my license after my accident 😅😅😅. But IMO, the clutch on this car is not good. Next time, I'll replace it myself with an aftermarket parts. I think the problem that's causing this is the shifter to.
@rattyfab dealer mark up- $1300 clutch $1600 flywheel $500 throw out bearing. 4 hours of labor at $300 an hour. All oem. $850 real price for clutch, $1060 real price for flywheel, $270 for throw out bearing. $1200 mark up. STEALERSHIP
@@greatwhitescatpack if you look at consumer level pricing for those parts as well, it's not far off. I think that's excessive for the flywheel for sure. And labor rate. Aftermarket parts are not cheap either.
@rattyfab McLeod twin clutch $1400 includes aluminum flywheel , add the McLeod throw out bearing and pilot bearing for $200 = $1600 +1200 labor =$2800 verse $4700 for overpriced oem.
If this was a higher mileage vehicle, absolutely. This car has less than 5000 original miles on it. The clutch was spent, but everything else is in perfect condition. Great question!
My hellcat challengers clutch just started slipping was wondering what you would recommend as far as repair/upgrade it also any cost information for jobs like this would be very helpful thank you!
I will have to put together a price list. We went with the MCLEOD clutch kit and fresh slave/throwout. It was a perfect fit and really simple install. The clutch kit was around $1500 if I'm correct.
Great detailed video man!! My toxic trait after watching this is telling myself I can do this to my challenger! 😂 love all the care and details you put into this video!🤛👍

@@ghostchicken69 I'm sorry to hear that. Definitely go with superior parts. OEM sucks ha.
How did the McLeod RXT Clutch hold up on your Hellcat Challenger?
Nice job, doing mines this moment but it did not come with an alignment tool 😢
Oh no! Hopefully you can get one. They should all come with the tool.
Did you have to space the clutch at all or was it a direct fit to the dowels?
It was direct fit
How long did it take from start to finish?
Roughly 8 hours total. That includes post install inspection and test ride.
$4700 for clutch replacement at ny dealership really crazy or is it just me?
Honestly it's really spot on. The parts alone add up to over half, and it's about 8 hours of labor.

how much does this cost?
This cost the price of the parts plus 8 hours labor in my shop.
@@rattyfab thank you I really appreciate the response
How much do you charge to do this ? On a 2016 Scat Pack?
Sorry for the late reply. I just saw you email as well. I'll send you a reply today.
Since you replaced the fly wheel, shouldn't the rear main seal and pilot bearing be replaced?

@@rattyfab5000 miles jesus some millinial doesn't know how to drive a cluthc
@@jonsingleton203 not quite. Most of those miles are making tire smoke and hard. The factory clutches are very under rated for what they require

Thank you! I really appreciate that feedback. If you have a lift, you can definitely do this to your car haha. Much Appreciated!!!!
Why on earth would you replace a clutch at 5K miles ? 😮
It had a hard life haha
