From someone with severe depression and health issues, THANK YOU. You will never know how much you mean to those of us who have lost all hope. It’s so hard to explain how things get to this point, but the best way to describe it is slowly falling into a black hole that is impossible to climb out of. Then hope is lost and gives way to just waiting to die. What you see is what is going on in our heads.
You are an angel and just the sweetest person. God bless you for your kind heart ♥️ When you clean, it helps pull us out of the black hole and sparks hope again.
PS-ignore all the comments that are discouraging. They are not giving their time and heart to help others. If you want to use a blow torch to clean, use it confidently and unapologetically. They are missing the point of your channel.

This comment alone makes up for any negative ones I've ever had.🥹 Thank you for sharing your personal experience with depression. I have been there myself. I am very fortunate in that I have always used cleaning as a way to cope with depression, so I have never had the experience of letting things get to a point of super overwhelming, but I can completely understand how that can happen. I'm thankful for people like Mira who are willing to be vulnerable and show the Dark Side of depression and how it affects everything around you. I will never know how she got up the courage to start getting her home back in order on her own, let alone film it for everyone to see, but I'm thankful she did because she helps so many people just like you.
I hope you are in a better place now. If not, you are part of a very compassionate Community here where I hope you find love, support, and empathy for what you're going through. Thanks again for sharing!🫶😊🙏

Thank you! This has definitely put a little spark back into me, working at Mira's rather than the soul-sucking, energy-draining hoarder house I was working at. But I don't regret doing that house because I learned a lot of lessons from it and now I can set some boundaries.

I am a scrapper and there is a point where buying stuff has to stop. I have made a rule I am not buying anything new until my room downsizes.
Yes you at some point have to realize just because something is cute,cool, or a good deal doesn’t mean it needs to go home with you.
Bonnie, this has been a mammoth challenge but you, Mira and Allie have done it! How wonderful for Mira to be getting her creative space back!
It’s deceptive how many elements are involved with fancy scrapbooking. I love that Mira’s scrap room is nice and big. Decision fatigue is real. No doubt about it. You are working miracles for Mira.
To clean out a hoarders craft room is an amazing feat. There are so many unnecessary things that the hoarder keeps but wants to do something with but will never do.
The great thing about Mira is she is willing to get rid of things. I actually wouldn't even consider her a hoarder, but more of a compulsive Shopper with ADHD. Add into that some health issues and depression, and it's easy for things to get out of control because she will buy things for that dopamine hit when she is feeling down, but if she was truly a hoarder, she would have a much harder time parting with any of this stuff and that's not really the case here. The last homeowner I worked with was definitely a hoarder and could barely part with anything. That was extremely difficult. Mira already had about six or seven big boxes of things on her table ready to sell to some of her scrapbooking friends and is still plugging along getting rid of more. I'm so proud of her progress!
I'm very impressed by your ability to get things done: I've done my share of big decluttering and organising for clients and friends, and though I find it very satisfying and therapeutic, it IS exhausting mentally and physically. I can understand why Mira just cannot do it herself!
Bonnie you worked miracles in this room in the two days, don’t you dare think otherwise! As a crafter I know how difficult it is to keep my own supplies in order, I can’t imagine how much more difficult it is to organise someone else’s supplies. I DO have a craft room on a scale of Mira’s, and I loved watching you organize even if you didn’t know what all the ‘things’ were. You did an awesome job! Having you there is a game changer for Mira I can tell, as there are so many things she physically cannot do that you are doing for her. I’m glad you are continuing on with her room, I think what you are doing and who you are working with should help your spirits bounce back after the hoarder house. Keep on keeping on, you are AMAZING! and I appreciate all of your efforts and videos!
I am so glad to hear that you are setting boundaries and limit your work to cleaning and organizing. It was clear that you were burning out after taking on too much of other peoples problems. You must be clear, both to yourself and your clients, what you are offering and stick to it. Well done.
Thank you. I really wish I could do both, but there's a reason I'm not a therapist and I can now see why therapists need therapists.😁 Dealing with mental health issues is no joke. I will help in the only way I know how and that is just to lighten their load and hope that in some way it brings them a little peace and is one less thing they need to think about so that they can focus on healing their mind.

I did record myself cleaning off my back patio last Saturday. It has been raining again for a few days, so we haven't been able to do a ton in the yard yet, but I will definitely get some videos out of working in the yard!

I really would love to help her with every room in her house. I do wish she lived a little bit closer because it's about an hour drive to her house, so that's basically 2 hours of driving every time I go up there to help. So, I doubt I can help with every room, but we have talked about me helping at least every couple of months for a day or two in some areas of her home. I'm sure there will be much more to come from Mira's house.😊

Funny, I found Bonnie through Mira’s channel. I happened on one of her videos and she sounds a little like the narrator in my own head when I am trying to make choices, so I just kept watching.
I agree that it's one of the best things to come from starting this channel and I'm glad it shows. I have had a lot of cool experiences over the last year, and some not so great experiences, but it's all been a fun Journey and one of self-discovery. Mira is a highlight in all that. 😊

I was a scrapbooker for over 25 years.
When I switched over to only making cards instead, I had a lot of things I found myself not using or needing anymore and it was overwhelming to decide what to do with supplies.
Now I’m only rarely making cards so I need to declutter supplies again. I gave a bunch of stuff including my Cricut to the Senior living place my mom lives at and they were thrilled. I need to make another donation of supplies to them.
I got into the card making thing for a little while as well. What's funny is that I hardly ever remembered to actually use the cards that I made when I would give a gift or I would end up giving people online gift cards that didn't require a physical card, so I stopped making cards about 8 years ago and got rid of most of my supplies. I need to probably go through them again and get rid of more.😊

Hi, I do many crafts. Because we live in a small space, most of my supplies fit under my twin bed (without risers). Then I have 2 toolboxes. Mira may find more

It's looking really good. I'm really enjoying this series as a past scrapbooker. I finally gave it up after 20 years. It is a complicated hobby that definitely takes up a lot of space both as you craft and then also storing all of the albums created, unless you can gift them. It was also very consumer driven in its hey day with new items coming out all the time. It's a three part hobby; shopping, organizing and then creating. When I gave it up, I bundled up everything, containers included, and gave it all away to a young lady who was just beginning the hobby. However, I do have very fond memories of how much I did enjoy it at the time. I'm excited to see the micro organization. Some of these supplies are bringing me down memory lane. You are lovely to be helping out Mira.

Mira is amazing to let go of things...she reminds me of myself...but several months ago i decided to lessen my crafting items...i had way more than i needed...i found a 11 yr old little girl that i (ask mom first) sent the stickers, stamps, and paper to....i haven't met either one of them but mom sends me messages about what fun they have had with all the items...that makes me feel good that someone else could enjoy them...

I really love surprises also and am constantly trying to give people nice surprises ...often unsuccessfully lol...I'll clean our staff tea room and no one will notice so I have to say "notice anything different in here?!" Same thing at home....and I learnt too that a surprise change of colour in the home can backfire 😂

Isn't it funny that we often surprise people with things that they don't necessarily appreciate?😅 That's why I decided I have to temper my expectations that someone will actually notice my surprise and be excited by it. It's a little bit of a letdown when no one notices, but at least just the thought of surprising someone gets me motivated enough to do whatever task it is I am performing.😁

I hope she is getting counseling for hoarding disorder. There's no point in having all that stuff if you can't find what you're looking for. If she would get rid of 75% of the supplies, she would be much happier and stress free in that room. Hats off to you Bonnie, cause I couldn't have done it
She is seeing a therapist and has been told that this actually isn't hoarding disorder and I would have to agree. Having just worked with a hoarder the last 2 months who would not let go of even the smallest percentage of things, Mira is willing to get rid of stuff. The main issue here is that she has ADHD and depression and, the combination of those two things, I have seen create situations like this in several homes because they get that dopamine hit every time they buy something, but then it ends up in a pile because of the ADHD and they forget about it, they buy something else, and the cycle continues. But once they are able to focus on the task and have someone there, like me, to help them stay on task, they are usually able to part with a lot of things. She does a great job on her videos of talking about how things got to this point and how she is tackling it. I think just the fact that she has a TH-cam channel about decluttering her home keeps her accountable to keep going with it. She's doing fantastic! Thanks so much for watching!

Im so happy you were able to help her sort out. My main concern, at her age, my heart goes out to her. I’m wondering how much she really uses it and if it would be better to donate or sell it at her own pace. It looked overwhelming at the beginning, but as the job got done things are more promising. I do appreciate all the work and effort in helping her and hopefully Mira can clear even more after things are sorted out entirely. Excellent help. ❤❤❤

And it is 11:33pm right now, and my hubby is snoring.😅💤 I probably should sleep too, but insomnia is BFF. 😅😴 So I spend all day tired and have to take naps too. I love your insomniac ramblings... haha! I ramble on a normal everyday basis, so I can't even imagine what I would be like if I had insomnia.😅 Fortunately, I have been very lucky in the sleep department. I sleep like a rock. No worries about the membership. I was it really torn about doing them because I didn't want to exclude anyone, but it is nice to have a smaller group of people that I can run some ideas by and get some feedback from. But I understand wanting to get out of debt even if it is just a little bit. That hangs over you like nothing else can. So, keep on with that!
Really enjoyed this video and seeing the craft room slowly come back to life. Mita will finally be able to enjoy something she obviously gets much joy from.

I'm so glad I could make you snort your coffee! I found myself pretty funny for that. I was actually surprised more people didn't comment on the miles thing. Just a handful of you, but that's who it was meant for. I'm all about dumb humor like that. 😜
Wow! Ya'll have made a lot of progress! Its a lot to go through and takes time. I am going through my house at present and its inspirational to help me press on. I have collected so much thru the years for sewing, crocheting, scrapbook, etc besides all my stuff. Getting rid of lots. I am proud of Mira pressing on despite her health issues. I also have tp take breaks along to recoup, but, I am seeing progress. Thank you for coming back to help sweet Mira and her pet antics! Its fun to watch!❤❤

Such a great job, Bonnie. You did a great job even though it wasn't completely done. We could see the floor & an accomplished in itself. I know what you mean when you're really tired & can't talk much! When I get really tired, I shut down & don't talk & just want to get it all done. I also understand Mira taking naps, but she is doing so well. I can see she really likes her scrapbooking & everything in ger room. I had to get rid of my supplies, too, in the past few years. Because of health reasons. But I still do it & some sewing. Mainly for family & some friends too! But my hands have carpel tunnels & arthritis. So, at some point, I won't be able to do it anymore! I am loving the Mira videos. She is so relateable.
My crafts feel overwhelming to me, sometimes, even if not as extreme as Mira's situation, so seeing how you sort it out is super helpful.
Don't worry about views or subscribers dropping-- it is not you, it is the algorithm.
We get unsubscribed to everything, ALL the time, we get dumped off our TV and have to start a new TH-cam and resubsctibe to everyone (this happens every 12-18 months). The algorithm is trying to boost AI channels, new channels, "politically correct" channels. Our normal, everyday folks are always cleared out. Channels I recently got unsubscribed to include: Hunting, fishing, crafting, comedians, commentators, pranksters, and sports channels, offroad trucking, travellers, my cleaners, organizers, etc. are always getting unsubscribed. You are definitely not the only one!
In my opinion, this is happening to many of my favorites, because so many are mentioning it.
Thank you for the information about getting unsubscribed. I've had at least six other people mention that they have to resubscribe all the time because TH-cam keeps unsubscribing them, but the way that you explained this, it actually does make sense why TH-cam would do such a thing. I hope that's not true and it's just a fluke, but that's pretty crappy of them if they are doing that. It's sad that the channels trying to spread a little good are the ones getting undermined and there are more channels being promoted that just create more Division and Hate. It's infuriating if it's true! I have started to see my numbers going back up very slowly, but at least I'm headed in the right direction again, so hopefully I'm over the hump and it will continue to grow. Thanks again for the info and for your support!

Like I’ve said before, you are an angel to do all of this for nothing. Mira on the other hand is so sweet and I can understand why you are doing it. I love scrapbooking but cannot have this much stuff. Mira is by herself and it does give her a sense of accomplishment.

Thanks, Gloria! A lot of hard lessons learned with that last home, but I think I needed that experience to help me know how to read those situations better and how to better manage how I deal with future homeowners.
