Very comprehensive Q. Especially the spreadsheet!
Another important point in regards to experience is that the base experience scales with vehicle level. So you do get more experience with higher tier vehicle for the same amount of PP.

Good point. I think I'd assumed that was obvious, but one should never assume, one should show or state it, so thank you for your comment.

When plane experience is "accelerating" crew training it is not random or per-game basis that is selected pilot or gunner gets it. It's always the one with less overall experience. So if you want to train pilots on such a craft, assuming it's premium, you just put a highly trained gunner in it. If you do this regularly, you will eventually have gunners with higher training then most of your pilots, simply because there are more pilots then gunners in the game.

Interesting! I'll give that a go and prove it, though I don't doubt your word. Thank you.

Just starting out, what is your best recommendation for a multi role aircraft and attacker?

I hope you enjoy your journey through World Of Warplanes! So far as tech tree ground attackers (GAAs) are concerned, neither the German nor the Soviet line begin to be powerful until around tier 7. That said, the Soviet line is probably the better one at lower tiers. Both the German and the Soviet high tier planes are good, but be aware they compete against high tier bombers at tiers 9 & 10, which makes them less effective. So far as multiroles are concerned, probably the easiest line to play is the British one. The American multiroles require good discipline to play well and the German ones, which start at tier 5, are hard-hitting but immobile until tier 7, when they mutate in something that isn't really a multirole. The Soviet multiroles are a special case in that they are long range snipers rather than planes that can dogfight and attack ground targets, for the most part. There are high tier Japanese multiroles, but you have to play through a (good) fighter line to get to them. I hope that helps!
