@@TheNobleQ - As I thought. Thank you! All the various versions of the Spitfire are comparatively slow and are not very good boom and zoom planes, which is the preferred tactic I use.

They're less suited to the NA server, where speed is preferred, than they are on the EU server. That said, I fly them rarely these days even there.

@@TheNobleQ - In Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator, out of 1.5 million registered pilots in the world, (and some of them were actual combat fighter pilots), using the boom and zoom tactic I was able to claw my way to #1. When I first started flying M.C.F.S., I needed to improve as the first battle I flew, I had my clock cleaned 7-0 by an actual F-15 fighter pilot. So I looked up the top scoring fighter plane ace in the world, which I discovered to be Erich Hartmann of the W.W.II German Luftwaffe, who had 352 kills, #1 in the world. He used and perfected the boom and zoom tactic to achieve that world record. A fast plane with good guns using the boom and zoom tactic is virtually unstoppable. My friend and wingman in M.C.F.S. flying our heavily gunned Fw 190's, using the boom and zoom tactic, no one could defeat us. No one. We once went up against 30 enemy planes with our two Fw 190's. We won and not because we were great, but because boom and zoom works so well. Search TH-cam; "The Greatest Air Aces Ever - Erich Hartmann", and also, "Boom & Zoom Tactics Demonstration".

@@TheNobleQ A someone who was born and lived close to UA border and visited that country many times and experienced that corruption I strongly advice not to support it. It is a artificially created and failed state run by some nasty people following one of the most evil ideology imaginable. I do not support Russia, Putin or anything to do with that war but us Westerners should stay away in my opinion as we are being manipulated by the media. Not everything there is so black and white as we are being made believe. Also Ukraine is a big country for European standard.

You talk of Ukraine being a failed state when a rogue state armed with nuclear weapons threatens it and everybody in Europe. Your perspective is flawed, most likely because you consume media that has no integrity, and we should all help however we can to support Ukraine. If you are on the deck, usually escape horizontally or, at most, in a slight climb. Don't spend too much time down there or you'll be vulnerable. I aim to be horizontal and low only after a steep dive, so that I'm carrying speed for fleeing. I'm glad you found the video helpful. Remember, it's only a guide; when you've developed a 'feel' for the plane, you may fly a bit differently.

As a new player of heavies, keeping your altitude and speed will help you a lot. As you gain familiarity with them, you'll learn when, through good use of your minimap, you can trade that for a low level attack, but for now, concentrate on not being low and slow amongst lots of enemies.

@@Borubar_de_San_Escobar Does RB-17 earn more than any other tier 8 premium? Better than Vampire F.1 or J21 RB, P-80A.. Me 109 TL..? I’ve heard it prints credits but is it more?

Strictly, I haven't checked that. I had no reason to assume that the earning potential of the new tier 8 plane would be less than others. That's a good question and I'll do some work on it in the New Year. If it's configured for earnings in the same way as other tier 8 planes, then you might argue with it's slightly superior bombing capability you might earn, on average, more with this plane than the RB-17. I doubt you'd notice the difference in that case.

@@TheNobleQ You indicated in the video that it probably won't replace the RB-17 on the EU server, because it's too vulnerable to being shot down. In addition, in the configuration you provided, it is necessary to use premium materials. I don't see any reason why the new bomber should earn significantly more than the previous ones. I'm glad that this time WG didn't create a completely over the top machine. I'll try to get it, but not at any cost. From my perspective - a casual player - the RB-17 gives a chance for a fairly repeatable, high income, and at the same time it's fun to play. At least the game isn't frustrating.

There are numerous supply crates - that's loot boxes to you and I - in the game. One of them, the Harpy supply crate, *might* give you the Ar 67 as a prize. I'm bound to say I wouldn't buy one of these crates in the hope I'd get this fun little plane. Unfortunately, it looks as if all these low tier premiums may never be sold directly again. Outside of the crate, your best hope is that it's included in a bundle for something else one day.

I'm not a fan of bombers, so I'm not strongly inclined to agree. However, both lines would be interesting. Alas, there's little chance of either.

I’d be ok with about any new maps or tech lines really. It seems the game developers have no desire to improve or add to the game other than to add premium aircraft.

@@M29WeaselDriver It's a rump team intended merely to keep the game going and turning over a little revenue. Instructions right from the top of Wargaming mean there's no development beyond a new reward plane every two months or so.

I think this could be a paradoxical plane. The revisions by the World Of Warplanes team will make it an even stronger bomber, but they don't appear to have done much with respect to the defensive armament. Some may find that inability to defend itself frustrating, no matter how well it bombs. A full technical review will follow soon.

I think that's an underestimate of the plane. That said, not being fond of bombers, I'm not that enthusiastic myself!

If you were to visit the official World Of Warplanes' Discord, you'd see a fair amount of complaining. Bombers are mostly fine up to tier 7 in the game, so they won't bother the majority of players. At tier 8 and through tiers 9 and 10 there is a set of pestilential overpowered bombers - not all of them, but that doesn't matter since the overpowered ones are spammed relentlessly (at least on the EU server) - and this set of bombers completely changes the character of the game, wrecking its balance. I hadn't thought of bailing out of an XB-42. It's not something I want to try!

True. You're not wrong, the B-29C is immensely strong.

Thank you for your support! I think this plane is relatively strong, but with a glaring weakness; the defensive armament. As for overpowered planes, I'm afraid a big part of the model for funding WoWp is to sell certificates for new planes and, if people are going to do that, they have to be confident they're buying something that's relatively good. That's the price we pay for the game still existing.

I don't know if I'm thinking correctly because there is propaganda in Poland as well as in me, but I'm sorry that the current event caused our nations. I only hope that one day your country will become closer to the West, real independent elections and freedom of speech. Regards and Happy New Year.

@@odziezzawodowa6515 I'm not sure which country you think I am from! I'm British, which isn't to say my country doesn't have significant problems or that it doesn't need to consider its international alignments carefully.

I think the greater threat is the P-61, which will have this as a tasty snack. The B-29C can be outplayed because it's much slower.

Well, by way of karma, I watched the video on a mobile device yesterday and was treated to a number of War Thunder advertisements! It's true to say this is a niche game though.

I like having this game as an additional account option, as a WoT player, but the biggest problem I have with it, is the way it's optimisation has not been maintained for the current W11 configurations. There's a massive conflict with Game Bar, which is crippling the game start-up, at least for me, on the latest W11 updates.

@@Roll_the_Bones World Of Warplanes is running on the engine Tanks dropped several years ago and, unfortunately, I can't see that changing. I doubt there will be efforts to integrate it with the Game Bar either. That doesn't affect me, since I switch it off, but will others such as yourself.

There are lots that are worse. However, will it be fun to fly? Speaking for myself, not much liking bombers anyway, I think it will be of limited appeal. Those who love their RB-17s may find it a refreshing change.

@@berniecsx4556 I'm rather pleased with the way the WoWp team has balanced the plane. Certainly, there will be others like you who find it a frustrating plane to play. Others, like me, will be glad it's not another tier 8 overpowered bomber. That said, I don't find this a particularly interesting plane to play.

I wonder if that's why it's been put in World Of Warplanes. I wouldn't be surprised if it appears in War Thunder in 2025.

I'm glad you like it. It was a rather "last minute" decision to do an overview instead of the full review into which I'd already put a lot of work.

Discounts on premium planes usually occur at weekends, but only a few times a year. There may be discounts for Christmas if you're lucky! Bear in mind fighters, particularly on the EU server, are usually not going to carry a battle. That said, the most powerful fighters that can be built to be agile - but not as agile as the Yak-30 - are the Me P.1101, which you've mentioned, and the MiG-15bis. The F-86A Sabre has a brilliant airframe and, in my opinion, is the best fighter of all at tier 10, notwithstanding its machine gun armament, but it copes much less well with, for instance, ground attack planes and bombers. The former two, with care, can. However, if you just want to dogfight, the most agile planes are the Yak-30 and the Ki-162-III. The Sabre can use its speed against those and its manoeuvrability against all other fighters, so you may want to consider it too. The Swift should really be in the same bracket as the Me P.1101 and the MiG-15bis. Specialised, it's a beauty, but many find it difficult - I did - when flown stock. The La-15 is another capable turn fighter with a bit more versatility than the Yak-30 and the Ki-162-III. Finally, if manoeuvrability is your criterion, avoid the Fw 252, which is more like a pseudo-heavy fighter. I hope that helps!

Have you a source for that? I'm not aware of such an announcement and do not believe the MM has changed.

I do go on to say I'd much rather have the extra equipment slot. I think the SM.91 is a strong plane, despite ordinary statistics (that we can see), because of that extra slot. It's also much more fun to fly than I expected, even with the rear gunner being next to useless. If you choose wisely on the forward-firing weapon slots it can even reliably outgun, owing to much better weapons range, a Bf 109 K-6 in a head on approach. The major problem with the plane is that it's a tier 7 in a tier 8 world. To compare the P-82B to the SM.91 is to compare apples and oranges. You're right, but the former is a true tier 8 plane, so the comparison is stacked against the latter. The SM.91 is perhaps a tier 7½ plane. Changing the plane's nation and putting in a Clark or a Vogel, for instance, is a good idea. Call it a tic of mine that I preferred to keep it Italian for the video.

I've managed to keep playing, though it can be awkward sometimes. Thank you for your kind wishes. I've come to regard the Me 210 in a better light now I focus on using the excellent bombs. This is an example of a good, old-fashioned, balanced premium.
