Milim has a skill that can multiply her strength by converting her anger into energy, and the longer the fight goes, the stronger she becomes. This skill requires magical energy. For ordinary characters, this skill is deadly, but you can resist it, but in the case of Milim ......... she has another imba skill [Magicule Breeder Reactor], which can generate energy infinitely * (literally infinitely generate energy until it just destroys the multiverse). Also, this skill gives [Stardust Energy] - the energy density of which is equal to the dying supernova. For example, drago nova with stardust can erase matter and violate all existing laws. She can of course move in frozen time, and has a protective barrier a hundred times stronger than Rimuru's in the anime.
41:51 That look in Geld's eyes, there's a deep meaning to it. When his people were controlled by the Orc Disasters hunger, they often consumed each other for more power driven by it's hunger. Seeing someone willingly and gleefully killing their comrade and consuming their power, triggered Geld in too many ways
I love how they that kind of details but don't say nothing about it, just walk past it.

The thing about the Roads has a explanation, the author of Slime actually owns a paving company and actually spends quite a bit of detail on roads and trade routes with an isekai twist.
That's actually pretty cool
I know it's not true, but it's funnier to think slime is just a long winded explanation of why roads are good
As talented as the manga artist is and how great of an adaptation the manga is, I would be remiss not to point out that this story started off as a web novel that is currently being re-edited and converted into a light novel series. With you praising the writing so much, and deservedly so, I want to make sure that credit for that is going to where it belongs.
I started off reading the manga but started reading the light novel when I discovered it. The detail is just beautiful 🤩
Can confirm that's it's epic. I've currently got the first 9 volumes in English now sitting on my bookshelf, with the 10th one coming soon.

This anime taught me how sound can help a scene so much. The sound effects in this anime are amazing and perfectly placed.

I can’t believe that you left out the best part of the Skill montage where Great Sage absolutely refused to give up its evolution and proceeded to try to force the process at least a hundred times.
In the anime it seemed like a hundred or maybe slightly more attempts, but the LN says "The Great Sage attempted it without sacrificing anything several hundred million times" before it was finally successful.

Its more of like that Great Sage couldnt evolve on its own, but it could evolve if combined with a different Skill. With the combination of Great Sage and Degenerate, it could manage Evolution in Raphael.
Kinda like giving Pikachu the Lightning Stone. Pikachu couldnt evolve on its own, but when given something else it could become Ra(phael)ichu

47:03 Tiny detail, but in the scene where Diablo blows away Razen's "Nuclear Cannon" magic, Diablo _intentionally_ blew the attack in the air, destroying a spy of Clayman's.

Also also also, A plot twist is a hidden part of the story being revealed to interrupt the flow of the stories' progress. Another spy wouldn't do that. You don't say something as stupid as "plot twist!" If you found out there was another Demon Lord, for example. Something as mundane as Clayman, again a Demon Lord known for his schemes, having multiple spies, isn't a spoiler. _It's part of his character_ .

First, do you really think that anime only’s are digging into the lore?
Second of all, we already know that Rimuru is already very strong, so we should know that he will become stronger.
After all, his skills already evolved into Ultimate Skills, so we can expect that they will become stronger.
Also, Raphael is the fusion of Great Sage and Degenerate, two very strong skills, so now Raphael should be able to increase Rimuru’s power.
Therefore, what I said was only confirming what will happen, not a spoiler.
Third, plot twists are usually the most important point of the plot.
After all, if say the invasion of Farmus never happened, or residents of Tempest never died, do you really think that Slime season 2 would be as liked as it is?

Second, you listed a few skills _not stated in the anime_ . His skills are very relevant, tied to his growth. Clayman having another spy isn't on the same level as the skills Rimuru gains. Hence why I said what you said was WAY more of a spoiler than what I said. Also, by your own words, anime onlys wouldn't be looking into the lore, so again that further points out that yours is a spoiler.
Third, plot twists are important to the plot. Did I say they weren't? I said Clayman having another spy, _something his character would be about_ , isn't a plot twist. Do you scream "plot twist!" because Milim gets excited and wants to fight a lot?. It's not, it's character traits.
Fourth, when did I say the Falmouth invasion wasn't a plot twist? Now that's just a ridiculous straw man.
Fifth, I don't care whatever spoilers you want to drop, I care that you're on my case about something that's NOT a spoiler. Clayman acting like Clayman isn't a spoiler. It's called characterization.
Fun fact about that time i got reincarnated as a slime: all of the groups named by rimuru have name themes, for the goblins its easy to see, all their names start with gob. But the demons are named after fancy cars(beretta being a chevrolet and diablo being a lamborghini) and the Oni have names that start with a colour and then something about their appearance (hakurou is white old man)

However, high orcs that scattered in the forest was named according to where they live. like if they live in forest they are named like 112M (m means mountain), 12L(means lake) and many more. It is like ID number

9:01 is even funnier in the novels, cause when the guard and Rimuru were chatting in prison when Rimuru first came to Dwargon, Rimuru joked about how he was actually a beautiful princess cursed by a witch to be a slime and the guard was all "lol, yeah, sure". Then here the guard was like "You got the curse removed!" and Rimuru had no idea what he was on about.
19:00 If you remember Yuuki in season 1 talks about how nations often summon people so they can use them (and their powerful skills). It's what happened to the five kiddos before they were given to the freedom academy because they would die in 5 years. These three were summoned by the kingdom of Falmouth.
39:12 This weapon Gobta uses is actually the one Rimuru promised him for beating Gabiru in season 1.
40:56 This shield is made from one of Charybdis' scales. In the manga, after it was broken Geld just pulled out another one (they had a lot of scales).
43:17 Folgen, the captain, is also an Otherworlder that was summoned by Falmouth 20 years ago. His Unique Skill "Spearhead" lets him take the skills of his allies if they die near him and exert weak mind control over them.
46:16 The Primordial demon who appeared in last seasons episode 24, "Black and a mask", the Shizu side story. He went by Noir back then.
47:57 Not important, but in the Light Novel, as Rimuru woke up and took his now early-adult looking human form, Benimaru thought to himself "It's truly a shame this being has no gender"
50:20 In the novel, the entire country was destroyed, not just the city. They evacuated though, have no fear.

Also, just the fact that Falmuth Kingdom treats their summoned heroes like livestock that just so happen to have a useful weapon is sickening, but if you take out the human element, it's disturbingly efficient and effective.
To put it in perspective, they fatten up their "heroes" on the best the world can offer, and if they're obedient they're welcomed into their ranks, but if they're belligerent, they're slaughtered so either their Skills can be given to someone else, or they can make room for a new heir "hero" to "pamper."
@@SuperiorPosterior actually very rarely are summons obedient, Folgen was an exception iirc, but most of them have a binding spell out on them so that they physically can't reject their summoner's wishes.

@@christolson24 I highly suggest you pick them up, both them and the manga give a bit more information about things and have been a really good read, as well as the manga has the *true* Veldora's journal, which were really fun.
Seeing Gobta, the most happy-go-lucky guy in the entire series, go at them full of rage and without any mercy gives me chills everytime.
I hope you will also watch the Slime Diaries, even if it's just watching, rather than sinning/winning it. I'm quite confident you'll enjoy it a great deal.
I don't think it gets enough credit. As a spin-off it has a great deal of benefit to the main series too. The character development and background we get on say, Geld for example is magnificient in Slime Diaries

9:01 in the Light Novel this scene is even funnier cause when Rimuru was first in prison in LN he tried convincing the guard that he is a magical girl trapped in a slime body by some evil wizard. So in the LN he was like "So all of this was real !!!!"

44:38 is especially brilliant due to the fact the it was changed perfectly in the anime. In the manga/LN the King found him standing just outside of the tent before shaking him and realizing the dude was dead on his feet. The way they did it in the anime could only work so perfectly when animated.
Also surprised the fact that Hakurou throwing the dude's head at Shogo wasn't a win. It's kinda rare having "our side" pull some dark but fun stuff like that. It's something you'd expect the villain to do.
Honestly I can't believe you cut the best line in the anime at around 43:05.. Hakurou saying something like : '' You angered the one being you shouldn't have, your deaths won't be painless'' gave me goosebumps, but we'll done!
The “You Must Chill” is great
40:32 the scary thing about him not being able to disable his all seeing eye is that normally a decapitated head is still conscious for about 20 seconds. Now multiply that by 300 and that's how long it is for him

You know, I've seen this anime about half a dozen times at least, AND read the manga, but seeing the devastation caused by Falmuth STILL has given me goosebumps and forces me to cry a bit for the entire duration of watching those parts again here.
It's astonishing how much this anime does to just rip your heart to shreds.

One win that isn't mentioned but I feel really deserves it is that the main cook is constant and very wholesome from the banquets, food stalls, rimuru having his first food that he could taste, even now cooking for the eurazania visitors. wholesome chef
There are some interesting facts about Gobta's weapon that I've read in the comments under another reaction to this anime and haven't seen posted here yet.
The sheath of the blade contains a firing mechanism similar to real world firearms. The firing mechanism operates via rune magic that can be infused with different magics. That's how he was able to fire black lightning during the battle. The idea for it came from Rimuru himself based on things he knew about guns from his origin world, and it's afaik the only gun he allowed to be built. Really shows how much he trusts Gobta, for him to be the one allowed to wield it.
Actually, the sheathe is a coilgun, using electromagnetic propulsion, not really something used in contemporary conventional firearms

But to be fair it's a fairly easy concept to grasp, you just have to remember Flemming's left hand rule, if a current is passed through magnetic field, it will cause motion, and passing a current through a wire actually creates a magnetic field around said wire, so all you need is (large amounts of) electricity, and magic can provide that.
actually, Mikami a.k.a rimuru is pretty smart, not mention great sage also can help analyzing from his memory to create such weapons and tools based on his previous world
Also, another fun fact, Gobta (and one other person I can't tell) is the only person Rimuru trusts to have a gun
Win 140: none of the monsters are actually weak, they are incredibly powerful as displayed. The just happen to be compared to a slime.

As a manga reader, my only sin for this series is that they didn't put the scene where the Falmuth's soldier that didn't want to kill the monsters die by Rimuru anyway.

The way the audio is done in this show, there is a REAL feeling of WEIGHT behind impacts, unlike in a lot of other anime.
Especially with a good audio system or headphones.

I don’t want to get my expectations too high though. The first cour was very good, but they could have done so much better. So many things were underwhelming or cut out compared to reading the LN or the manga. I’ll still expect the second cour to be very entertaining though
I don't typically leave comments since I'm a really shy person, but just wanted to say that Anime Wins is one of my personal favorite channels on this platform. Whenever there's a new video, I get excited to watch it as soon as I can (as long as it's an anime I've already seen). I love how excited you get talking about the greatness of these shows and can't help but smile myself, even if I was feeling down beforehand. This is one of only two animes so far that have legitimately been able to invoke quite powerful emotion in me, and have made me genuinely really sad when I finish them (the other one is The Rising of the Shield Hero). I'm really looking forward to the next part =)

Rimuru's face in 29:14 was (for me)my favourite part of this season
Interesting Fact for those interested in the magic of this world. Rimuru's attack Megiddo is a blend of Magic and Science where the laser beams are just the sun's rays magnified by the water droplets kept afloat using magic. Therefore resulting in massive damage with minimal magic usage.
Pretty common magic to see in these isekai, but I've never seen it used quite like that. Usually they use the "frying ants" method of BIG ASS LASER. Rimuru decided to take that principle and make it 1000x more effective

38:25 In the manga you were shown a soldier who felt simpathetic towards Tempest but had to fight in the war to make money to support Tempest. Rimuru later kills him, but before he does the man asks him to spare his children back home, Rimuru says of course, they won't part of this war, I won't bring innocents into this.

Win 97 is basically where a volume ended leaving the outcome of the battle after Glutton's death unknown for however long of a wait that was... What an evil cliffhanger that takes the wait into the 3rd chapter of the following volume. Author dono I give you a win.

That meggido scene was much darker in the manga much more terror to the army
I was surprised by this, too! You can tell they significantly toned it down. Especially considering the music, the sparse placement of the soldiers and the lack of blood.
@@kurarisusa Well, we can forgive the no blood part, since you honestly can't have them when they're burned. And instantly killing them may cause similar fear. As you can't see the attack, but people around you are dying. You see them running, but they still fall. And your panic with pass to another because no one knows what's going on, creating a domino effect.
@@stygiandragon3865 Yeah, I know. I just meant that the horror of the battlefield was way more emphasized in the light novel (and manga too). There was a lot of blood actually and Rimuru talks about purposefully lopping off limbs in order to spread panic. Just the way it was described was very, VERY dark. I get and respect that the anime didn't want to go quite that dark with it. I'm just making an observation of the difference. Not necessarily a criticism.
I've not read far into the manga but I've read through the light novel. I was slightly disappointed with the anime having this scene with a stationary base, becuase in the light novel the whole army was marching with the king and priest in a moving carriage when the attack starts, making the scene not only way more choatic but as stated way darker. I love Hakurou's voice actor so much. Jiraiya is my favourite character ever. The way Hakurou says his attack reminds me so much of when Jiraiya asked Bunta for oil and used Toad Oil Fireball against Orochimaru and Manda
This anime is literally my second favourite, followed only by Konosuba and it brings me so much joy to see you give these anime’s so much praise because I feel like they don’t get enough of it. All I can say is thank you for enjoying this anime so much and much hype for the second part to this!
I've been waiting for this, i just so happened to remember this video was meant to appear on 22nd and that it's today.
If you can't wait for more of the slime greatest I highly recommend the Slime Diaries, the comedy in it is amazing and it can be so wholesome at times. I can't praise it enough.
Also the light and webnovel are fantastic (thought the webnovel is falling out of the cannon by the day it's still great)

The whole invasion part always gets me 3rd time seeing it and I still tear up with just how amazingly done it is props to the creators and honestly this is why it's easily in my top 3 personal anime

I fell in love with this anime a little while back and have just finished reading all 18 volumes of the light novel, I will gladly say right now that if you enjoyed this first half, the second will be SPECTACULAR, there are so many twists and such coming and i look forward to watching your reactions, im glad this series is actually getting the respect it deserves.
18 volumes? Looks at the 10 I have with the 11th coming out in June. What language/what country are you reading it in? Just curious since I know the web novel is quite a bit longer then the light novels obviously, and I'm always interested in how things are released differently in other places.

A small detail that was passed over in this video is that when Gobta was fighting the soldiers he was actually using the weapon Rimuru promised him for defeating Gabiru. It wasn't even really pointed out in the anime itself yet the animators still added the new weapon and personally I think that deserves a win.
This anime had some calming elements, very nice
I honestly can't wait some of the things and arcs that are going to happen in the future. Tensura is really one of my fav. Anime and web novel ever, so much character, lore, world building and Fuse really is a genius.
When Rimururu was asking Great Sage questions after seeing Shion's body. It hit me hard, the person who usually had all the answers for once had nothing to say.
Briefly related to Rimuru, once it was mentioned that his subordinates would sacrifice themselves for him without hesitation and that everything would be fine as long as Rimuru is there for them, but if even one of his people should be missing, Rimuru's psyche could be weakened and collapse. This shows how close this is to him and makes his later actions easier to understand.

POV: You're german and you watched the anime with german subtitles to the names and some scenes are different so you are confusion
No matter how many times I watch this first half of the season, I will always start tearing up seeing all the corpses and the reveal of Gobzo and Shion. I seen it 4 times, sub and dub, and this video twice.
That and I love what was done with Geld in this half and so far in Slime Diaries. He has become tied with Shion, Souei, and Bennimaru for my second favorite characters in this show.

Someone should have him do a "animation vs cgi" test.
So many times he calls things CGI that just arent...and he's been doing it since day 1.
Its basically at the point where he probably is just gonna flip a coin to decide if its cgi or not...then saying "fk it...its probably cgi..."

I mean, he literally said early on that he doesn't know if it's CGI, but he implied he just sticks with that for simplicity.

@@Aeonsmagicks I've been watching on/off for years, nearly since the beginning of the channel. And yeah, I mentioned how he said he doesn't know which is which.
I love that for the battle map, they now have an actual map and marble battle figures, it shows how far they've come since having to draw it themselves and random rocks with faces. Nice touch!
Who else was literally squealing the whole time the other world trio was getting completely destroyed by Rimuru and the team, it was so utterly perfect

Okay but Megiddo is a scene I watch over and over. The way the beautiful song (Reimei by True) cuts out right before the move is unleashed, the bright red move name splashed against the bright blue sky, the loveliness of the little smile blobs glimmering in the sunlight and then all of that culminating in the brutal efficiency and cleanliness of the kills as the song swells and Great Sage is monotonously keeping the body count is just incredible. You can really feel the weight of what is happening. And with his mask on you can really feel the cold rage and brutal vengeance Rimuru is going through. This wasn’t something he wanted to do but he had a mission and he wasn’t going to let anything stop it. He made his peace with becoming a demon lord and using all these human lives to do it and resurrect his friends and his people. It’s a seriously amazing scene and they didn’t a fantastic job animating and design the scene to make it really impactful. One of my favorite “ultimate move” scenes in recent anime.
