1. Learn to E when you're at low health in general, even directly after combat. It can be dangerous to roam around with extreme low health for fear of getting hit by a stray bullet. Using your E in moments where you're not even in combat, but you were recently damaged, can be much better than trying to marathon to a health kit. 2. Learn to use your Shift directionally (left, right, and backwards) so that you can juke and maneuver around people in close range to the point where they can't keep up, OR, using your understanding of the map to get behind cover when damaged. 3. Learn to not hoard your ultimate, she has one of the fastest charging ults in the game, where you can get up to 20% ult charge unloading a clip into somebody. Using it to unavoidably pick people off (aka not in a group) is a good thing. Your ult can be pivotal, or small, but it will always charge quickly. 4. Learn how to juke cliffs with E. Let's face it, sometimes you're going to be dashing around the map and you'll fall off, or get knocked off as well. You will have hangtime before you die, and just like with DVA, you can get back on by using your ability, in this case, the E. Many a time have I been roadhogged into a pit, or juked people by jumping off and hitting E. It can be satisfying for yourself and it can be used to deny some embarassing moments. These are a few of my tips ^~^
5. Be able to push ahead of the cart. Like Force said, your mobility is your blessing and your biggest asset. Being able to learn how to harass people as they come out of spawn, before they can get back to the payload or CP, can be what grants those last few seconds to pull away a W in Overtime, or keep them from the stopping the cart.
Indeed, Tracer is probably the most Balanced hero in the game in terms of gameplay, I see alot of people complaining about her being op but they never give any reason why she's op. She dies to a few hits, and soldier:76's ultimate completely shuts her down which alot of people don't think about. Roadhog, Winston (in some cases) or even Reinhardt can fuck Tracer up if they play well. People still say Tracer is broken because she is annoying, she's made to be annoying :|
+Force Gaming Suggestion: cuz it's the ULTIMATE guide you could add some examples of "tracer strategies" what she can do on "each" map like for example in Volskaya Industries as an ATTACKER she could use her blink to jump the river to cross to the other side FLANKING the enemy team. It would be more in depth but that could be very valuable info. If you would do a Torbjorn ULTIMATE guide u could for example mark "special" spots to set his turrent. With Sym u can also mark special spots where to set her EYES, so on and so on. It would be a pretty neat thing for the guides even when we know that it will take a bit more time of the video but I know you can think of a way to add something like that. GL and keep going ;)
Doesn't she die to Torbjorn incredibly quick? Bastion you can kill by good maneuvering, but Torb's turret always hits and Torb himself has a shotgun attack, this fight is closer to fair than a counter should be.
Most of the time if you're engaging a Torb it should be either A) when he's away from his turret or B) if you have a pulse bomb. Torb on his own isn't very fast, and his gun has slow firing and reload speed, so if you catch him without a turret he's a goner. Meanwhile if you have a pulse bomb you just drop it on the turret, click e or blink, and then clean up Torb if he wasn't caught in the blast. As long as you play it properly the counter is less than fair.
Well, you shouldn't need your ult to be a counter to someone. In any "normal" situation, Torb kills Tracer pretty easily. I wouldn't say she's a counter to him at all since she relies on her ult for that.
AlfalfaQc You ignore the other part of the post, but sure. Here's an alternative. Your team is pushing, the turret isn't looking at you for quite literally one second. You burst it down, and then you fight Torb 1 on 1. You destroy him because if you're any good he can't hit you with his gun because you're blinking and using your mobility. Still a counter.
Sonso I really don't see what I ignored. All your arguments, even those you just said never assume a fair fight 1 on 1. If you are close enough to make that kind of damage, the turret will lock on you fast enough. And again, a counter should be 1 on 1 fight without assuming the team helps you and stuff like that.
You know, you're the only person I've seen so far give good advice for Tracer. You even hinted at how Tracer wins games, which is by staying alive, harassing the backline, and forcing the enemy team to pay attention to you, and only you. Most people treat her strictly as a backline assassin, but her survivability is where she shines. I also appreciate how you didn't call the tougher heroes counters, because, well, they aren't. They make things difficult and force you to play smarter, and I really am glad someone else acknowledges this. I'm a Tracer main.
Ahhh, I love it when people try to argue Overwatch with me, and then proceed to bring up the largest damage sponge in the game that gives free ult charge. Try grabbing the attention of 4 players as Roadhog point blank and see how long you last. There's a reason he's not played against a coordinated team.
Don't get shot in the face with his right click. Don't fight him and his turret... but if you can get up next to him and unload a clip... he gonna die.
+Tristan Mok Dont get me wrong, but all im saying is that if you are playing torbjorn you should sticl with your turret keeping it alive, besides, being near your turret makes you survive way more, in every fight you will have the help of the auto aim.
I think a key point you missed that's very integral to tracer is her recall ability. I consider this ability the "get out of jail free card" ability. When off cooldown, tracer can be aggressive and try to get close to enemies. When on cooldown, it's typically good to set yourself up when the ability goes off cooldown, as in position yourself, grab a health pack, and make sure you're reloaded. Just my thoughts...
Force, I know some might complain about you just commentating games but it's one of the main reasons I come to your channel. I've learned how to play MTG and Starcraft from you and now I'm getting better at Overwatch. Don't let others saying it's just another "play and watch" channel get to you. Keep making videos no matter the content!
This was pretty terrific - most guides don't drill down into specifics quite the way you do here. I'd definitely be interested to hear your views on good gameplay for other characters.
This was so helpful!! I was so set on the swap thing and that other video you make prior to this totally changed the way I thought about this. I used to play tracer a lot but then started swapping to other characters and this helped out with things I never even thought of while playing tracer
Important thing about recall, some ppl may not know, it will not reset your health, but rather puts your health to max(current health, previous health), meaning you can sprint to a health pack and then recall if you need to for positioning purposes.
I agree with most of this guide. however from my personal experience tracer excels against against tanks like roadhog and winston as long as u are able to dodge and kite with blink effectively. the beneficial thing about these match ups is the size of the targets allows you to easily land entire clips from medium to close range which quickly charges up your ultimate while you pump out a ton of damage from relative safety assuming you can dodge a roadhog hook. backline defenders like widow and bastion are easy enough assuming you can sneak up on them without getting flick shot in the head, but torbjorn seems like an entirely impossible matchup unless you catch him without his turret or you have your ult up to quickly kill him/his turret before the turret auto aims and does the 3-4 total shots it takes to kill you keeping in mind the turret wont miss a shot even if you blink and torbjorn himself can basicly 1-2 hit you with his right click at close range. If there is a way to counter torb other than simply never stepping near his tower without your ult up that im unaware of then i would love to know because im pretty sure i die like 10x more when there is a torb in the game
One piece of feedback you could include in this video is the emphasis on blinking left and right to throw off the opponent (although most of the time you are trying to catch them from behind)
Very good guide and some helpful info for soon. Not sure if she can "carry" a team, I dont really see OW as a game where any one character/player can really carry a team. Otherwise solid video and points!
You can also use her recall to escape a Zarya ult. Tried it with blink but due to its close range and the large AoE of Graviton Surge, you have to use all three charges to escape.
Issue with a detail on Tracer's E, rewind. She doesn't reset HP; Using reset cannot make your HP lower than it is. So using a healthpack and immediately rewinding will allow you to keep the hp you received from the pack.
Your videos are blowing up. Good for you Force. Now throw in a Force feed to show that you have a variety of content to keep some of that viewer base once the interest in Overwatch falls off.
Suggestion: When you mention the range of weapon damage and max DPS plus max Headshot DPS, ability cooldowns etc, you should write them on screen too so it's easier for the viewer to catch that info. Nice guide overall, keep up the good work!
I love the dmg numbers, but I would've liked a longer video, going into more detail. There's a lot of small tricks I learned when playing Tracer, that I'm sure you must've noticed too during your Tracer week. Things like when flanking, it's often not a good idea to walk close to your opponent before shooting, because they can hear your footsteps and will notice your presence before you're close enough to unload a clip in their face. So I now use a blink to get in close fast, before they have time to react.
Good video, but i'd like to see more technical stuff for future guides that require it, for example usage of rocket jumping with Phara, mention things like a full burst of pulse pistols + quick melee is sure to kill any 200 hp hero, getting used to thowing Mcree's flashbang on the ground so genjis can't reflect it and things like that
Not a big deal, but FYI, using Recall does not set your ammo to whatever it was 3 seconds ago. I forget if it either sets it automatically back to a full clip, or if it leaves it exactly where it was, but it's not the same as 3 seconds ago.
Good guide and good reasoning. Just wondering what is the setting for the mouse sensitivity because my problem now is learning to aim. I am wondering if higher sensitivity makes it better to aim.
one thing i realized in this video that isn’t happening was the first thing i learned to be effective with tracer. if you watch the video almost every blink the gameplay shows the guns are pointed the same way she blinked. if you are infront of somebody and unload a clip into them and then blink behind them you should already have your crosshairs on the target so that you blink behind them but when you are done blinking you should be facing the back of your target instead of having your back to the target then turning. Having that awareness to be have your crosshairs on the target you are focusing after every blink is sooo overwhelming to the other target you blink twice around them while hitting all of your shots in the fastest way possible! always remember this! also be aware of where you were, knowing where you will recall is also so important in helping you go in and out untouched.
Another tip that I have is when you're in a 1v1 situation, you can blink through your opponent so that they have to turn around to keep shooting at you. I like doing this with Reinhardt when his shield's up.
Force I remember I first heard of you when you covered WildStar (which was like 2 years ago?) ... you are probably one of the most professional youtubers out there. I hope I'm early enough for you to see this.. I mean the video hasnt even finished processing :)
Another tip with the pulse bomb is always try to stick someone with the pulse bomb. It almost always guarantees a kill and throwing on the ground around enemies isnt always effective. Another thing is dont wait for the perfect moment to use it. I don't really see it as an ultimate and I use it like its just another ability due to how fast you can get another one. I'm not the best Tracer ever, but I am ranked #122 overall for Tracer on the leaderboards for ps4. Ill be making a montage soon of my best clips (on screen squads, on screen five mans, etc)
Good guide, I didn't know you could reload while blinking or that her rewind reset your health and ammo. Only just started playing her and got 45 eliminations yesterday (my new highest eliminations)
I think you got close on saying to "reload during blink", but the real advice and the better way to say it is, "Burn your whole clip every time." Burn clip, blink, burn clip, blink, Profit. The worst thing that can happen is to get out of a blink and aim at a low health Reaper's head only to find you only have a couple of bullets left and are stuck in a reload animation. The advice on rationing blinks is the best info to hammer into a new Tracer's head. Many think of it as a gtfo ability - which it definitely can be in a pinch - but in reality it's part of her main combat rhythm and is the primary source of her strength. Overall good Beginner's Guide. Dunno about "Ultimate".... :)
If you could make some more of these 'tutorial' type videos - I would appreciate it. Also, you should make a playlist of all the tuts so I can just set it and go. I have videos playing in the background at work - so it would be great.
Some ppl don't know this but no matter what amount of ammo you had 3 seconds ago you will be at full clip (recall) but also when you recall if you picked up a health pack (your health before healthpack - 100) (after - 150) even if you recall to before you picked it up you will have what ever is the highest amount of health you've had in the last 3 seconds so pick it up and immediately recall to 3 seconds before pack you will be at your pack health or the Highest amout of health you've had in 3 seconds ---.... If you don't under stand just respond to this message and I will explain it in more depth or watch another guy from a person who's a little more informed
I had some typos in the second explanation so here it is again (recall ability) your health is 50 right now and you pick up a health pack and go to 150 health but you immediately recall to before you actually picked up the heal pack so are you at the health of when you picked up the health pack or would you be at the health you were 3 seconds ago---.... You will be at the highest point of health in the last 3 seconds so no matter what you will be at the highest health out of 3 seconds (when you recall) Also you get a full clip of ammo no matter what ammo you were at for the last 3 seconds (3 seconds ago you had 3 bullets of ammo in clip) (you didn't reload) you recall and your ammo count is automatically full (40bullets)
Well, I knew about most of this but I actually didn't know that blinking doesn't interrupt reloading. Well, I probably blinked while reloading a couple times but I didn't realise it. Thanks, I'll make good use of it.
Tracer is one of my best hero's but I feel like I always have problems dealing with people like bastion and torbiorn any tips on how to deal with them as tracer?
She is good against torbjörn himself, not the turret. If you catch a torbjörn running towards a point before setting up his turret he's an easy kill for tracer.
mastering the shift is all what you need always keep 1 blink for emergency and blink between enemy shots and use E when you are low and never attack without your E available and 1 blink
I don't play tracer or I guess I'd of known already but at least I picked up the reload while blinking tip.. but hey, any new knowledge is better than none
Tracer is one of those heros that is just annoying, but I often just leave them be as Pharah unless they get close to me or healers than a few rockets to scare them off running to a health pack. I do wish I was better with her, will have to play her some more to get a feel for it, took me a good 8 hours to become decent with Pharah to.
rewind only resets your health if it was higher 3 seconds earlier. otherwise you keep the amount of health you had even if you rewind to a point were your health was lower. so you never lose hp when using rewind only gain hp.
Dear Force, would you be interested in doing an Advanced Tracer guide? I would love to see you comment on your games, even just edits of particular plays. Tracer versus Reaper, Tracer versus 76 etc, best maps to play Tracer because, worse maps for Tracer.... Thanks!
Question: I've had an 15 player kill streak on competitive mode and still bunked a rank, why? And doesn't D.Va (without armor) have the same health as Tracer?
you missed a lot of little hints. which makes the guide not even close to ultimate. - its possible to rewind directly into a gap and die when you time it wrong (not a big deal in most situations anyway worth to mention). - blinking straight through an enemy for confusion is extremly powerful - you should have shown some of this shortcuts you can take with blink. people would never think of that this is possible. - talk about synergies with other heros - tell people to learn not panic rewind. i see a lot of tracer using rewind becouse they panic and think they die soon. often this is wrong and should wait for HP to drop. (for sure this is something you need to learn but if you dont learn to control panic you will always do bad rewinds). - btw i cant really agress with torbjorn is easy to play against. maybe you should have explained that more there is still more worthy to know stuff and hints... maybe next time you get better informations ready force. what you did there was explain the abillitys...thats what i get when i press F1 ingame.
On your point about the "panic rewind," whenever your life is in significant danger, even when you are full hp, you should absolutely blink to safety, or rewind if that isn't possible. For example, you round a corner and see a McCree, or you walk into range of Roadhog's hook. But I agree with you that rewinding is not ideal when you are full hp, blinking is almost always preferable.
Synergies with other heroes should be a no-brainer. Zarya, Reinhardt, even with winston Tracer can be dangerous. People with CC combined with Tracer is one of the best Synergies in the game.
Also, "panic-rewind" is caused by her "hurt" audio going off when she hits 70 hp. That is usually what does it because in other games it doesn't usually trigger until about 30 - 20 hp. Blizzard's way of trolling the Tracers. (aka me)
tracer ulti needs some rework, for one you should be able to throw it farther like a disk and should stick to walls. for some reason it sinks after a few meters which makes it frustrating when you try to stick a tank. if you can throw it like a disk it can be a trick shot ult. also dont forget when the it sticks the damage area spreads for some reason, if it just falls on the ground it wont do much damage unless their on top of it.
As a tracer you can also mess up the push with a Reinhardt, by shooting Reinhardt in the back forcing him to turn his shield, so your friends at the choke point can take him out.
Forgot to mention Recall will never lower your healthpool: If you pick up a health pack, get full health and then recall to before you picked it up you will still have full health.
One more thing: she often giggles when she blinks, and good players react to giggling behind them. So do not blink right behind the enemy that did not see you. I just had a game as Bastion where two Tracers could only get me with ults, because giggling allows me tu turn 180 to meet her it time.
I would like that you made a tutorial on how to counter this god tracers, i'm a good player but when I play against this tracers I cant do any think Because of how hard it is, to counter them. You said that you were going to pick one character and only use him for one week. I guess that in that time you must have learned what héroes or what stuff countered you everytime or was causing you problems It would be awesome if you started another series on how to counter X hero, you would be taking advantage that you already know all his/her weakness and you could go more in detail. Hope you read this huge comment, keep up the good work :)
Yes i did, but just a picture doesnt tell you how to stop a god tracer or a god genji, does it? Because i think that killing someone that is good with a character its more than just knowing what hero to use
Tracer is the most unsung hero I'd say. She gets the least recognition post-match. Despite getting like 3-4 gold metals on average, it's rare to get any recognition in the after game leaderboards. I get a triple kill with a pulse bomb (which I find difficult to get a single kill) and the junkrat with the penta gets potg (which is easy to pulloff). Tracer has to work soooo hard and does sooo much and gets no love in return. In the end, that makes her even more lovable.
umm im not sure bout this point but isnt she weak to armor? because - as far as I know - armor reduces the damage done to the armored target by 5, therefore, making the pulse pistols dealing 1 damage instead of 6 again, not sure if tracer handles armor differently then other characters but this should be another point to watch out when playing tracer, at least imo
So your channel has become an Overwatch channel now and RIP ForceFeed it was good while it lasted! I don't play OverWatch and never will not my kind of game, Hope you have every success Force in whatever else you do but cya around mate. It was fun while it lasted ...
I'd like to add that you won't be seeing a ton of gold medals or PotGs if you have an average game as Tracer, either. Even when played properly, the stats don't always show it since you'll typically have low objective time, and low elims if your aim is bad and/or if you're just trying to annoy the other team / get them to chase you off the objective, etc. So don't let that discourage you at first. Also, if there's a Zarya on your team, try to time your ulti with hers. Makes for some great use of Pulse Bomb. =3
I do what I called a "trust fall". You act like you screw up and blink over the edge while facing an enemy and after a half second recall yourself. They''ll think you screw up and walk away then surprise them.
put your mouse on the center of your mouse pad. Ideally, your sensitivity should be such that when you move your mouse from the center of the pad all the way to the right edge of the pad, your character will turn 180 degrees to the right, and vice versa with the left side.
I'm always confused on this one, does D.Va not have 150 health when she is out of the mech? Why does no one count that? Why does no one count level 1 Torbjorn turret?
From my experience as a Tracer, she is strong against: Mercy, Zenyatta, Widowmaker, Winston, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Reaper She's relatively even against: Tracer, Soldier, Pharah, Genji, Symmetra, Mcree, Junkrat, Lucio Her ultimate is strong against (stationary targets): Torbjörn, Bastion She's weak against: Hanzo (Hanzo only needs to hit a floor, a wall or a roof to kill you with his scatter arrow. Or if he's in a corridor it's impossible to dodge the huge hitbox of his normal arrows)

he means when he write ultimate there should be more then standart things and go in depth i guess
That Reinhardt charge spot on Volskaya Industries point B though
I really enjoy blocking that part on volskaya with an ice wall as Mei and watch all the Dvas, genjis and tracers fall to their doom
idk why but as tracer i can consistently shoot well against every hero except lucio
Thats because lucio is constantly outhealing your damage. Go for headshots and be quick and you should be able to kill him.
its because he is quick and can dodge easily
Why I love Lucio.^ especially the ribbit costume I have;)

Wouldn't it be sick to have a Warsong Gulch CTF map in Overwatch?
I think you missed the fact that people should be using there melee in close range as it gives a significant damage boost.
thats very important, meele after clip ends can give you many kills you wouldnt get otherwise
This. Melee has to be in the rotation of any decent Tracer.
Indeed. Emptying a full clip of your pulse pistols + melee finisher is often enough to kill most sub 200 health heroes. Especially soldier and widow.
Suggestion:
When you mention the range of weapon damage and max DPS plus max Headshot DPS, ability cooldowns etc, you should write them on screen too so it's easier for the viewer to catch that info.
So I now use a blink to get in close fast, before they have time to react.
tracer kind of reminds me of WoW's rogue from the early years. their stun/lock combo ability was a great asset to either alliance or horde.
Great video really helped me get a better edge with tracer
Ur an amazing TH-camr I don’t understand why u u don’t have at least 5 mil. You are funny, you engage, you are energetic and you r good at overwatch
Good video, but i'd like to see more technical stuff for future guides that require it, for example usage of rocket jumping with Phara, mention things like a full burst of pulse pistols + quick melee is sure to kill any 200 hp hero, getting used to thowing Mcree's flashbang on the ground so genjis can't reflect it and things like that
This was really useful 😄😃😀😊
Not a big deal, but FYI, using Recall does not set your ammo to whatever it was 3 seconds ago. I forget if it either sets it automatically back to a full clip, or if it leaves it exactly where it was, but it's not the same as 3 seconds ago.
Good guide and good reasoning. Just wondering what is the setting for the mouse sensitivity because my problem now is learning to aim. I am wondering if higher sensitivity makes it better to aim.
Just wanna say your videos are awesome. I've been watching your overwatch videos all day haha.
one thing i realized in this video that isn’t happening was the first thing i learned to be effective with tracer. if you watch the video almost every blink the gameplay shows the guns are pointed the same way she blinked. if you are infront of somebody and unload a clip into them and then blink behind them you should already have your crosshairs on the target so that you blink behind them but when you are done blinking you should be facing the back of your target instead of having your back to the target then turning.
Hey cool vid man :)... could you make a Zarya guide? I've always wanted to play her!
WTB more! I always liked your starcraft 2 abilities and now you are getting good at overwatch, your guides are welcome.
Could you do an ultimate guide on Reaper next please? He's a pretty cool character.
Ultimate tracer guide. it's all about her ultimate!
I'm a simple youtube watcher. I see "ultimate" I upvote
Tracer's the Spy/Scout of overwatch.
Going very fast.
Getting behind enemies.
Backstabbing them.
McCree is closer to the spy.
You will be at the highest point of health in the last 3 seconds so no matter what you will be at the highest health out of 3 seconds (when you recall)
Also you get a full clip of ammo no matter what ammo you were at for the last 3 seconds (3 seconds ago you had 3 bullets of ammo in clip) (you didn't reload) you recall and your ammo count is automatically full (40bullets)
simplified: you can only gain health through recall, you cannot lose any.
That's not equivalent to what he said.
Well, I knew about most of this but I actually didn't know that blinking doesn't interrupt reloading. Well, I probably blinked while reloading a couple times but I didn't realise it. Thanks, I'll make good use of it.
Did a good job force I feel better with tracer already
Tracer is one of my best hero's but I feel like I always have problems dealing with people like bastion and torbiorn any tips on how to deal with them as tracer?
btw recall doesnt set your ammo to the point it was 3 secs ago, it allways fully reloads your guns to 40
Went against probably the best tracer I've ever seen - completely carried the enemy team with 73% kill participation.
So now I'm here.
Just to add, Recall only gives you health if you use it like1-4 seconds after you just took damage
How is she good against torbjorn when his turrets autolock?
If you're caught in turret fire without recall available, you won't last very long unless you can get to cover fast
She is good against torbjörn himself, not the turret. If you catch a torbjörn running towards a point before setting up his turret he's an easy kill for tracer.
Ah, i missed the implication, thank you.
So can widow and hazo, my friend. Guess they're even too?
Alex Kiq Well widow's ult aside honzo doesn't have a good way of targeting tracer.
mastering the shift is all what you need always keep 1 blink for emergency and blink between enemy shots and use E when you are low and never attack without your E available and 1 blink
Nothing is COOLER than landing a headshot with Mei's icicle mid-blink.
Wouldnt say this is the ultimate guide hehe.. maybe more of a beginners guide?;D
we are all beginners at this point
+Speshul _ (Izaac) We're all noobs now....
Speshul _ Very true lol :D But you could talk alot more advanced strategies with tracer, i guess most ppl don't want that right now though..
I do wish I was better with her, will have to play her some more to get a feel for it, took me a good 8 hours to become decent with Pharah to.
rewind only resets your health if it was higher 3 seconds earlier. otherwise you keep the amount of health you had even if you rewind to a point were your health was lower. so you never lose hp when using rewind only gain hp.
include maybe dps comparisons and alpha damage talk as those things play a big role in other shooters such as csgo
Can she blink through projectiles? How about Roadhogs hook?
Recall reloads your guns no matter what ammo they are at. Tested. With 6 ammo, a 10 second buffer and recall got them back to full ammo.
Dear Force, would you be interested in doing an Advanced Tracer guide?
I would love to see you comment on your games, even just edits of particular plays. Tracer versus Reaper, Tracer versus 76 etc, best maps to play Tracer because, worse maps for Tracer....
Thanks!
More of a skill overview than a guide, but well put together and useful for newer players.
- blinking straight through an enemy for confusion is extremly powerful
- you should have shown some of this shortcuts you can take with blink. people would never think of that this is possible.
- talk about synergies with other heros
- tell people to learn not panic rewind. i see a lot of tracer using rewind becouse they panic and think they die soon. often this is wrong and should wait for HP to drop.
(for sure this is something you need to learn but if you dont learn to control panic you will always do bad rewinds).
- btw i cant really agress with torbjorn is easy to play against. maybe you should have explained that more
there is still more worthy to know stuff and hints... maybe next time you get better informations ready force. what you did there was explain the abillitys...thats what i get when i press F1 ingame.
(aka me)
Who is CC? thx
tracer ulti needs some rework, for one you should be able to throw it farther like a disk and should stick to walls. for some reason it sinks after a few meters which makes it frustrating when you try to stick a tank. if you can throw it like a disk it can be a trick shot ult. also dont forget when the it sticks the damage area spreads for some reason, if it just falls on the ground it wont do much damage unless their on top of it.
As a tracer you can also mess up the push with a Reinhardt, by shooting Reinhardt in the back forcing him to turn his shield, so your friends at the choke point can take him out.
I like this hope you do the rest of the characters.
Thanks Force! Nice and simple guide.
Forgot to mention Recall will never lower your healthpool: If you pick up a health pack, get full health and then recall to before you picked it up you will still have full health.
00:13 "Seagull started playing Overwatch."
You mean THE Seagull? lol
One more thing: she often giggles when she blinks, and good players react to giggling behind them. So do not blink right behind the enemy that did not see you. I just had a game as Bastion where two Tracers could only get me with ults, because giggling allows me tu turn 180 to meet her it time.
you think the Bastion guide will be half the time of this video?
This video was well scripted and passed with meany valid points and it's always useful that you researched the exact damage values. Good job man :D
I would like that you made a tutorial on how to counter this god tracers, i'm a good player but when I play against this tracers I cant do any think Because of how hard it is, to counter them.
You said that you were going to pick one character and only use him for one week.
I guess that in that time you must have learned what héroes or what stuff countered you everytime or was causing you problems
It would be awesome if you started another series on how to counter X hero, you would be taking advantage that you already know all his/her weakness and you could go more in detail.
Hope you read this huge comment, keep up the good work :)
Sorry if there some things misspelled, english isn't my main language
He has a list with pictures in the video, did you watch it?
Yes i did, but just a picture doesnt tell you how to stop a god tracer or a god genji, does it? Because i think that killing someone that is good with a character its more than just knowing what hero to use
I wanna see Genji next. I really like playing as him, and want to do better with him.
She can be countered by Mei as well, as her weapon can slow her down if she isnt careful.
Kickass I'm excited to see who is next.
Please make more guides. Loved this
I'll be back later. Quality is still stuck to just 360P.
It's already 1080p. If you had waited literally 3 minutes lol
Daniel Parker lol Maybe. I have no patience though XD
THX Force! It is time to play more Tracer :)
The damage does Not reduced up to 10-12 meters distances. Tracer is too frigile to fight at 2-3 meters, as you recommend here.
nice guide, didnt know about reloading while blinking
umm im not sure bout this point but isnt she weak to armor? because - as far as I know - armor reduces the damage done to the armored target by 5, therefore, making the pulse pistols dealing 1 damage instead of 6
again, not sure if tracer handles armor differently then other characters but this should be another point to watch out when playing tracer, at least imo
Reduces it by 5 to a maximum of 50%, so 3 damage instead of 6, not 1.
If the damage per hit on armor is under 10, you deal 50% damage. For example 3 instead of 6.
Yes, but those who have lots of armor also usually have really big heads, so go for the headshots!
u can reload during the animation *.* ? Thanks bro, no excuse for empty bullets now !
ultimate bait title guide
what happens when tracer recalls to a spot someone is standing on?
Ive been waiting for this!
I do what I called a "trust fall". You act like you screw up and blink over the edge while facing an enemy and after a half second recall yourself. They''ll think you screw up and walk away then surprise them.
my biggest issue with tracer is: what mouse sensitivity do i want? its pretty much mobility vs accuracy
put your mouse on the center of your mouse pad. Ideally, your sensitivity should be such that when you move your mouse from the center of the pad all the way to the right edge of the pad, your character will turn 180 degrees to the right, and vice versa with the left side.
i dont use a mouse pad :(
I'm always confused on this one, does D.Va not have 150 health when she is out of the mech? Why does no one count that? Why does no one count level 1 Torbjorn turret?
Shouldn't Symmetra be kinda good against Tracer?
When a level 37 does a better guide than a 600+. Your guide is amazing man! :D
Loved it, my favorite hero is Tracer
I would love a guide like this for widow
From my experience as a Tracer, she is strong against:
Mercy, Zenyatta, Widowmaker, Winston, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Reaper
She's relatively even against:
Tracer, Soldier, Pharah, Genji, Symmetra, Mcree, Junkrat, Lucio
Her ultimate is strong against (stationary targets):
Torbjörn, Bastion
She's weak against:
Hanzo
(Hanzo only needs to hit a floor, a wall or a roof to kill you with his scatter arrow. Or if he's in a corridor it's impossible to dodge the huge hitbox of his normal arrows)
Make a Bastion ULTIMATE Guide. He's pretty much the favorite character of every camper
Hanzo, Genji and Tracer are the ultimate playmakers of this game.
*****
He isn't play maker.
With the hitbox buff tracer has a very hard time dealing with hanzo now :/
