And they really aren't that bad! They'll get better aim and game sense the more they play, but they had some nice moments here
First time i am saying this for a bronze video: This dude has so mutch potential. Just one month in FPS, but was able to get this aim. He knows about the flanking playstile, his decision making is not bad and will improve over time. He should be able to reach gold in a month.
so basically he has to work on everything that would make him not be bronze, got it :D jk aside for 1 month of gameplay he's definitely showing potential. But as said, lots of stuff to work on still.
Did we watch the same video? His mechanics are horrible. Bad cross hair placement and not predicting people's movement. Don't get me wrong there are flick aiming players but usually only works if you have high burst damage. Even then good cross hair placement and predicting movement is a good habit. Technically strafe matching as well but that's harder to utilize.

5:59 Reaction time in fighting games is fundamental, but not universal. What I mean by this is that you can "learn" to react in other games with fighting game fundamentals much faster then normal, but you don't have Ultra Instinct across every game. Example from the timestamp, guy probably doesn't know what shatter looks like or how fast it really is in person, but will learn to react to it in a variety of ways much faster then a new player without "reaction fundamentals." Most Overwatch high-mid to high level players take this for granted because the game is unironicly as fast as most fighting games and they don't realize it, AND there is no set frame rate to be able to perfectly time abilities making Overwatch arguably HARDER to react to then fighting games. The reaction times and ability to learn HOW to react to stimuli is very similar, and Overwatch, at least in interacting with the enemy, is similar in alot of ways to fighting games moreso then Moba or FPS(including their disdain for cheap ToDs that HEAVILY affect gameplay overall, which we would call in our game one shots like Widow/Hanzo lol)
As an ex-smash competitor, honestly a lot of skills needed to be good at smash transfer to overwatch pretty decently. This is a really cool video flats. I spent most of middle school and high school playing fighting games competitively so I can really relate to this guy. this guy has pretty good target priority for a bronze player, which would make sense because paying attention to the enemy's win conditions is very important for fighting games. 5:38 you don't need good reaction time to play fighting games, Most of the time we're thinking one step ahead and making an educated guess based on the opponents bad habits. Something I noticed when I started playing more FPS games is that my execution, timing and movement is pretty good; my aim with projectiles and snipers is decent but my aim with rapid fire hitscan and Lasers was trash. My awareness was pretty bad because I used to have tunnel vision for specific areas on the map, so large team fights could be pretty overwhelming at times. Honestly, this guy isn’t nearly as bad as Flats made him out to be, especially seeing that he just started playing FPS games. Like he had pretty good aim, used his abilities decently well, and had consistent target priority. Compared to other bronzes Flats spectated, I’d think this guy was at least mid-high silver if I didn’t know he was bronze.

So, I'm a year+ late to this video. I decided to start learning Tracer a couple days ago and currently have about 3-4 hours on her. Watched a couple videos (that's also what brought me here just to see what tips Flats has for her), and I have "an idea" of what to do with her. So far, i've played her mostly in Plat 4 - Plat 2 lobbies and have about a 70% win rate with her and what I think are decent stats....so i dont think i'm doing very bad at all. All that said, this guy looks like he was already better than I am at this point. I understand i'm new to her, but he was bronze. So kudos to him, and now I gotta re-evaluate if I think i'm actually decent with her or if i'm just being hard carried.
The way you are talking about fighting games makes me really wanna see you try one. Street Fighter 6 literally just came out. Maybe you should try streaming it a little.
i got to say, and I've never said this about any of these vods (lets be real majority are just awful players) this guy has potential. for only playing for a month and first FPS they're already doing REALLY good. alot to improve on but they're already starting really strong. I reckon they'll become very good at this with practice
I feel like one of their problems is recognizing their team's support. Like, they were deathly afraid of going into their own Mei's blizzard when friendly fire isn't a thing. Probably played CSGO or Valorant before sticking to Overwatch, or juggled between them.
The best advice I can give this guy is to go back and watch Kabajis unranked to gm educational tracer only from years ago basically all of it still applies
You know a lot of people have been guessing that but no, I’m aware it doesn’t affect me, I honestly have no idea why I wasn’t just running through during the freeze, I think maybe I was just afraid of walking in the center of attention in case someone outside of freeze range hits me with a one shot. That’s the only reason I can come up with but either way, I def was letting opportunities slip away during meis ults.
Im not even gonna lie, for playing just a month, being his first fps and being bronze. This guy isn't even that bad

I saw Tracer players from silver to plat that are not as good at this guy, I thinks he is pretty good, yes he need more practice and as soon as he get it he will climb... if the opposite team keep be blindfolded ^^
POV: Fighting game player discovers the third dimension
I fucking lost it at the first pulse bomb. Like, that clip right there speaks for itself.
This tracer would shit on most golds in a weeks time.
I feel like so many players turn the reticle bloom off too early when they start playing and they just assume all of the shots are going to land exactly where the crosshairs is. I think it leads people to picking fights from the wrong distance
it makes it so much better since his name is wish lol
Honestly, this guy isn’t nearly as bad as Flats made him out to be, especially seeing that he just started playing FPS games. Like he had pretty good aim, used his abilities decently well, and had consistent target priority. Compared to other bronzes Flats spectated, I’d think this guy was at least mid-high silver if I didn’t know he was bronze.
2:32 I'd have cried if the pulse bomb got a kill down there
gotta love my morning dose of flats "sips coffee"
Breakfast of champions, coffee and watching flats (also some arrge)
“I know you’ve got a new match on tinder” 😂😂😂 how does he come up with this sh*t?
I like how in the very beginning he literally says "I think I did ok but I'm aware that we only won because the other team just did worse than us" and flats just keeps saying "I wouldn't say you did good, the other team just did worse" later
I’m a learner. Watching you Flats, I tried some different things and they worked. After doing them a few times, I learned why. I went from silver to diamond (not big, I know)
Innovator: The Japanese dude who came to Melee tourney and took Yoshi from F tier to S+ tier alone. 15+ years after the game stopped receiving updates.
I swear this guy looks like he's a lot better than most of the Tracers I see in gold, throughout my whole time there, I've only seen like 2 pulse bombs being stuck
Also, my dps is bronze, and his aim looks a bit better than mine. Though I rly suck at hitscan so I mainly play Hanzo to get *skillful* *calculated* headshots
oh no not these bronze hanzo players
i mean pulse bombs are not the way to judge tracer players, look at jay 😂
@user-sl8py3sd9r as it is her literal ultimate, every player who plays much Tracer should at least land 1 per game, and not whiff them every time (Jay3)
ah, i see, you're a man of culture as well..
for someone whos been playing an fps game for a month hes actually really good at aiming
Waiiiiiit...on the second team there is a player with the name Sparta (maybe from Greece :P ) and he is using JQ which looks like a Spartan warrior? :P Talk about meta on another level. XD
This Tracer wasn't too bad, he's probably going to be a gold DPS pretty quickly & then he'll have some learning to do, but he's not bad.
Flats should make some tips videos because im actually learning stuff (great content keep it up)
Wow first fps, been playing only a month and picks the hardest hero in the game. That's at least respectable.
I kinda want to see someone animate this in the goofiest way possible, kinda like carbot does 4:49
Flats: What are to looking for? Snacks?
Me: umm....no? *Eats snacks*
Thought they were fine. Knew to stick around health packs. Had okay target prioriy and played the backline and did some good pulse bombs. They wont be bronze for long
THE JAY3 JOKE WAS SO DIRTY
“I won’t be too harsh… unless it’s hilarious” 😂😂😂
How is no one talking about the capital offense flats committed in this video?
Graffiti Tracer is easily A tier smh.
I would've loved to hear the other 3 types ngl, that kind of categorical theory actually interests me
For just being a month and the FIRST FPS coming from fighters lol this man is better than most bronzes that have been playing for YEARS. Props man
I like how Flats keeps referring to it being an ego vod and how the enemy team is just worse - the guy said that in the original message! He joked about it being an ego vod and said he knew it was more that the enemy team was worse
3:08 is the funniest shit I’ve seen so far today 😂😂😂
9:11 this was second 😂😂
2:31 Jay3 catching strays even beyond his own community lmao
You *say* that’s not how this works but these roast vids helped me climb a couple ranks
This guy is surprisingly good for a bronze Tracer
"GONNA HAVE A FUN TIME WITH THIS ONE. I'M SO GARBAGE AT THE GAME PLEASE SPECTATE ME. IT'LL BE WORTH YOUR WHILE" *flats is enthralled*
"My brother in christ, where the fuck are you going". That had me deceased 😂
My dude put more commas in that post than shots hit in that whole game god daym
was in this live stream and god i laughed so hard and legit had to go to the bathroom because i laughed so hard and its funny as fuck watching Flats looking at vods
It feels like he's walking around because he doesn't know the locations of the health packs
"I understand the Mei Hatred"
Ah yes. I love being verified by Flats.
At 3:10 he really yelled "GET DOWN MR. PRESIDENT!"
Hilarious video! You’re so funny flats
flats is our overwatch dad he's not mad just disappointed
that Tracer was scared their own Mey ult almost the hole game :D
I only started playing ranked last season. Finished placements top of gold. I never got to experience the beauty that is bronze lobbies. 😭😂
@5:42 “I thought fighting game players had good erec- reaction time” 😂
Flats had me cracking up 😂 I felt like I was getting roasted by proxy on some of those points
"higher picture quality" youtube: 180p
Also youtube :ads 4k60fps
The way you are talking about fighting games makes me really wanna see you try one. Street Fighter 6 literally just came out. Maybe you should try streaming it a little.
"GET A LITTLE CLOSER, STOP BEING AFRAID"
The Hanzo with storm arrows: yes, get closer.
Looks like he’s been watching jay3 tracer gameplay
Edit: I promise I commented this before flats said it 😂
i got to say, and I've never said this about any of these vods (lets be real majority are just awful players) this guy has potential. for only playing for a month and first FPS they're already doing REALLY good. alot to improve on but they're already starting really strong.
It’s his first fps game though?
...the video states that it's their first fps game ever. They just come from a game where you are solo against another player.
Flats cleaning his glasses killed me💀😭😂
Man comes from guilty gear, finally someone else.
The best advice I can give this guy is to go back and watch Kabajis unranked to gm educational tracer only from years ago basically all of it still applies
This person may be in Bronze, but I promise you this person could get out of Bronze EASILY
This tracer was me but with turn based rpg games. Between OW og and new OW I got really into RDR2 and my aim got way better lol
I was hardstuck bronze 5, now I’m gold 5 and climbing, thanks Arthur Morgan
*Point blank bomb whiff on Widow.*
"You're a Jay3 enjoyer, aren't you?"
I WAS CRYING
I would put 100 on this guy having 2x the reaction speed of flats. Dude learns what muscle memory is.
Savage! Great vid
This guy was actually good for 1 month first time fps... He is gonna climb fast
It's funny how ppl try to flank you more often thinking you don't have sound on
Hes actually really good for bronze and a 1st timer bro
100% I bet the Tracer thought they'd freeze also, thus shooting from far away ... then realized they wouldn't freeze and went forward
"You're a jay3 watcher aren't u" 🤣
Bro he called my life out.
