    NoFap teaches you delayed gratification or patience.
    Cold shower teachers you to stay in the journey, to face the fear head on.
    The fear before a cold shower and the feeling after the shower are very different.

      Facts!

    • @Enmanuel_V6
      @Enmanuel_V6 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      First Last I found that attacking the most vulnerable areas are key to mastering the cold shower as fast possible. Meaning which ever area U feel the least comfortable getting hit with the cold water that’s the area that you should let it hit first, it’s like ur getting fear out of the way right away cus in reality it’s the anticipation of the cold water and our perception of how is going to feel is what’s most intimidating rather than when we are in the process of the shower after the first couple of seconds in. Those areas are usually the back and the chest. Also letting the water hit the head first let’s the body get acclimated to the cold much faster than starting with the feet which is a huge mistake cus ur just mentally torturing yourself with anxiety cus ur delaying the inevitable which is the cold water is going to hit the areas of your body that your scared/intimidated by. Also as the water hits the head it will flow down to the rest of the body and hit all areas which is what’s preferred. So In essence doing what We think is hardest is what’s actually going to make it easier

    Been on cold showers for 2 years and 6 months and 8 months into that first year I took things even further by alternating between all the way hot and all the way cold multiple times starting and ending with cold. It’s a whole other monster but that’s how I shower ever since so I been on that for 1 year and 9 months and now I’m “immune” to both extreme hot and extreme cold weathers I’m a real stoic😁

  • @Enmanuel_V6
    @Enmanuel_V6 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    One great tip to take the mental effects of the shower to another level is to disassociate from your body while being in the shower like you would disassociate from your mind when ur in a meditation this is something that not everyone is going to be able to do even if u meditate and it takes practice but the trick is to get in the cold shower how you would get into a normal shower not thinking about the temperature of the water and just being totally relax cus after all ur about take a shower right and there’s no intimidation . Also you might have notice when u take a cold shower that your muscles contract cus ur like trying to resist and take the cold water but what U want to do is let that go, relax and don’t try to resist the cold water. Taking cold showers in this manner will allow you to be less reactive during ur day and give u the ability to respond to situations in a clear and concise manner Instead of reacting right away when somebody says something or some negative event happens. This is the true mastery of a cold shower. Start applying this guys and just watch. When someone looks up the definition of a stoic a picture of you will come up😁

    I take cold showers twice a day for over 2 years, morning and night time. Now its like a habit, dont think much about it, but feel weird if i dont take it. I still get a mild endorphin or dopamine rush, while im there, but once i leave its as if i never went in. Id make my shower colder if i could, but its always on max cold, and no im not bragging. After shower, should probably start taking ice baths just for the hell of it. Im not any crazy masochist, i always do it for bettering myself, and i think i just need to level up with something else. Anyways its just one small habit im grateful to have gone past as an officially daily thing like stepping on the floor when waking up. Hardest thing so far is doing no fap past 30 days, been trying for 3+ years now. Happy af that it works for you. Now i need to workout more, eat healthier, meditate more, more more more. But at the end one thing is important, “i am enough”. Try saying this for 30 days twice a day, crazy what your personality turns into

But I know what i've to do now, I can do whatever i want for short nd then i'll take shower afterwards to mark a beginning for the day to complete my schedule. Thnq again bhaiya.

    For a year during college i lived in the top floor of an old duplex. It had no heating, in Montana. -30 in the winter. The walls would coat in frost overnight and ironically you would be keeping the milk warm by putting it in the fridge. One night during a storm one of the windows collapsed into the apartment. We didn't own anything i just had a mattress on the floor so the debris wasn't an issue. We also had a gas leak in the kitchen, not enough to catch a flame just enough to always stink but we got used to it and didn't notice after a while. I had a heart attack in my sleep in that apartment lol those were the days.

    You know, I think one of the coolest things about this philosophy is that the shower actually becomes a different place for you. Before, it’s just a thing you do and you don’t really pay attention to. But when you use it this way, I think it becomes more like a prayer. Every day, you now have this one unchanging piece of your life that constantly reminds you life is sometimes uncomfortable, but if you push yourself into the icy coldness of it voluntarily, you realise you’re absolutely strong enough to face it and you can actually come out stronger and appreciative of it. You wash and cleanse your body but now also wash and cleanse your mind, and the shower is now truly a place where you come out clean.

    Yet I see you as wise as an elder.
    Your spirit has been transferred from an ancient.
    Or you inherited the DNA of their passed on experience.

    I’ve been working towards becoming my best version and I’ve been utilizing semen retention as well as cold showers. Starting this month I will take it more seriously and commit myself to the lifestyle. Honestly I haven’t noticed any of the benefits from semen retention but I also wasn’t consciously practicing nofap , I just wasn’t pulling on myself and I really didn’t know why I stopped pulling on myself unconsciously but I am pretty sure it’s due to the fact my DNA has been activated and my soul has awakened. I am grateful for the service that you provide this magical universe. Keep up the great content Nik. Love and light to everyone.🙏🏻💚💫🌎☝🏼

    I've been doing cold showers since I was a kid, i've never thought of it as a motivational thing. It does help though, I remember times where I didn't want to go to school but suddenly changed my mind after a cold shower.

    I've been doing cold showers for 2 years, I can't say its done much except make me more tolerant of the cold and a bit more vibrant and happy when I get out as it stimulates me when I feel dead inside.

    Could you do the video about grief, death and loss? My five year old cat died three days before. It's emotionally overwhelming, can't stop crying. I don't know how to handle this.

    This guy seems to be so impacted by the changes that he makes. For me personally, things like sleeping early, eating healthy and accomplishing things have little to no noticeable changes in things like my energy or headspace or anything at all, therefore I lack motivation or a reason why I should continue these habits. Any advice would be appreciated

    Excellent video, and interesting comparisons you draw to boxing. The boxing gym where I trained for many years had no hot water, so after my morning workout, which usually included 6-8 rounds of intense sparring I would take a cold shower, then head to the office. I felt like the master of the universe by 9am everyday.
