I've taken a freezing cold shower every morning since Jan 1, 2017. It helps with clearing the morning thoughts of negativity and getting your day rollin' and rockin'. There is never a day I don't say "I really don't want to get into that freezing cold" but then I think "In the time you take to think about how you don't want to do this, you could be in the shower." So, bam, in you go. You yip and yap and "woah!" but force yourself to let the water hit your back, both pits, yer yarbles (if equipped) and hair. When you're finished, baby, you are WIDE AWAKE! Now go get 'em!

I've been taking cold showers for 2 weeks. I have the knob set to where if I go any colder the water shuts off. One thing i have to say though is how i was able to get to that point wasn't by sheer determination, but by running a mile first and then taking the cold shower. It makes it far easier to get accustomed to the cold temperature when your body is warmed up. Now i am used to it and can take the cold showers without running. If you're having trouble starting this ritual, try some cardio first :)

Cold showers make me laugh a bit but the feeling of absolute concentration, amazing relaxation and natural warmth is absolutely fantastic. The only downside that i find to it is that i will feel tired earlier on in the day although it's more a mental exhaustion. Previously i could be mentally awake for ages but now it has kind of balanced itself out really well. That mixed with a few days of NoFAP and I'm honestly feeling happier, more alive, more motivated, better looking and almost like a magnet to everything or at least most things that I've always wanted. So dedication to not relapse is a high priority now, especially since I've gotten all the data that i personally needed to collect👌🏻

I agree (ironically apart from the bias as I obviously love my culture more😂)! Every nation, their culture, ancestry, history, native people/demographic is something to be proud of, cherish, preserve and learn from, for the good and bad, to become better people.
I am glad you have pride in your ethnicity/nation, as I do in mine.
All should protect and preserve their own and others’ nation/ethnic native people. When we lose our unique identities, we lose ourselves and our roots, everything we represent, symbolized through our unique story-like biology (our phenotypes tell us exactly who we are, cultural origins, our history, ancestry, etc).😊

    • @meganaxelia
      @meganaxelia 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Brown-Pride
That doesn’t prove much about culture, more so historical (maybe modern) ethics, and thus actions. ‘Historical influence’ is a far too vague and subjective statement (and problematic if glorified) as ‘influence’ can be good or bad, or derived of good or bad actions. A majority of historical ‘influence’ is actually just the effect of invasion, war, empire, slavery and spread of demographics globally, thus the spread of ‘influence’. It isn’t a measure of anything except for immorality and disregard for other national and demographic individualism and respect, thus leading to the dissolve and dilutions to foreign ‘influence’.
The other end of ‘influence’ is rarer of history but simply, peacefully, foreign cultural adoption by choice, such as art, ideologies, symbolisms, foods, languages, inventions, etc, although this all generally turns into culture-less commodity and trade to benefit native lifestyles, or changes/adapts to reflect the culture of the new demographics and becomes a distinct part of their identity/individualism.
However, influence is also completely dependant/relevant to only specific geographical nations and people. India, for example, has no direct significance to my identity and nation, but might to the British in some way or another, little or largely.
Overall, ‘historical significance’ is far too specific, a trivial/problematic measurement and subjective in a wider context. I appreciate everyone equally, whether it is a small aboriginal tribe of Australia to a massive historically to modern dominant demographic such as the British.
As I said previously, all that matters is we learn from history and change for the preservation of all ethnic identities and demographics.

    • @meganaxelia
      @meganaxelia 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Brown-Pride
I never challenged subjectivity of historical influence to be due to a lack of proof...
Historical influence is incredibly insignificant with regards to the value and worth of culture for the exact reasons I mentioned of the reason ‘influence’ spreads and exists. It adds no value of a culture. No matter the global influence of a culture, being big or small, they are all worth existing and significant by demographical adherence.
India was a good place to exploit wealth, I am aware of that. Indians fought in WW2, I am aware of that. None of that historical significance/influence adds anything with regards to cultural ‘importance’ over others.
Cultural influence is incredibly subjective with regards to the ‘origin of all influence’. Indians are a collective group of ancient demographics/races of different nations and backgrounds, apart from the first settlers.
The whole of Scandinavia could subjectively be said to be influenced of each other, yet many of us also say we are completely unique of culture. Historical influence is subjective in this sense.
When you say ‘European’ imperialism I recommend you be specific to Britain, etc. My ancestors took no part in that side of that history, that’s like me calling the Islamic Turkish empire ‘Asian imperialism’... including every nation of Asia of it.
I have a lot of criticism for your ‘revenge’ sentence.
Everyone should be nationalist, not just you, as it is respect and acknowledgement for nation and demographic individuality and global diversity.
However, you are not a nationalist if you participate in empire, invasion, even in the case of ‘revenge’ as you call it, as you hold no value over others’ demographics and global diversity, you seek to destroy it through enforcing your identity’s prevail over others.

    • @meganaxelia
      @meganaxelia 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Brown-Pride
      Vice versa.
Again, historical ‘influence’ is completely reliant upon the subjectivity of what people like about your culture. Not to mention it historically depended upon population, empire, invasion, war and migration to which India, regarding its history and being a mix of different demographics and backgrounds, had no shortage of during its lifetime in comparison to my nation. My nation had influence upon most of Germanic Anglo, Proper and Scandinavian European nations and demographics (to which you wouldn’t understand or know), with little to no contact upon further lands, so of course it would have little ‘influence’ in those regions (apart from perhaps a ‘Chinese whisper’ effect, cultural influence upon nations my people never contacted).
Sorry but you are completely conflating and polarizing historical contexts under an arbitrary argument, that India held significance outside its exploitation by the British.
How is saying ‘India was a good place to exploit wealth’ ignorant or dismissing of anything? The British siphoned trillions out of India, with no reinvestment back into India itself at the time.
To further my point that Britain seriously did not give a damn about India other than its economic potential, you keep mentioning ‘they fought in WW2’ yet the British were responsible for the genocide of 4.2 million deaths of the Indo-Aryan, Bengalis after they were stripped of all food supplies for the British troops in battle... After, Winston Churchill quoted “its their fault for breeding like rabbits”.
Like I said before with regards to historical influence, the ‘influence’ can be good or bad, or derived of good and bad actions. It has *nothing* to do with culture.
I almost feel like you do not understand what culture is or means...
In another perspective, if you believe your culture is so great and superior, why do you value it off of the approval of foreigners?
I value my culture off of the fact it is *my* identity, my history and ancestry, something uniquely bound to my demographic.
Indians are not ‘one race’, that makes no sense even if they were one dissolved/diluted identity. They have a few main racial lineages (and thus many branch races) within them, due to having native ethnic origins outside of India that brought their own cultures and identities with them, that still haven’t mixed demographics as of modern day.
Christianity is a theocratic ideology which influences cultural *values*... not culture.
You are correct however in that our true, original paganism, to which was suppressed under Christianity, held many cultural references and significance, to which many Icelanders, the Christians and atheists, in modern day, are returning to through a appreciation of our root values, history and culture.
Yes it does make you less of a nationalist.
Being a nationalist is about respecting and preserving national roots, culture, representation, demographics, not only of your own nation but others. It is reciprocated appreciation and acknowledgment for individuality, global diversity and all to prevail.
The action/imitation of what was done to your nation was done through a globalist mindset of cultural, demographic, national insignificance and disregard. The British diluted and dissolved Indian representation and identity, invaded, killed and then left them neglected and to suffer, like they had done nothing wrong (in fact many claim they overall helped India)...
Now you want to do the same to them? Hypocrite, you’d be no better than them by values and actions.
(A person’s value is completely subjective, you base a person’s value over purely cultural/demographic allegiance, that’s your choice but I think that is extremely ignorant and naive. You’d value an Indian rapist/pedophile over a good hearted/minded Japanese man for example...)
Anyway I don’t have time or can be bothered engaging in this discussion any longer so won’t be reading replies any further.
      Bless.

    Hey Nikhil bro, watsup?
    How have you been?
This is Abhishek from Kolkata, India.
Today I have completed 10 weeks of NoFap and it feels amazing.
It seriously has life transforming benefits. I stay motivated all the time and very much focused on my goals. Working harder than ever. Energy levels are sky high and have lost weight drastically(I used to be quite a bulky guy ..... It feels great when you have lost some kgs). I'm a hardcore Yogi, who performs 21 asanas daily including SuryaNamaskar. In addition to this I do the following pranayama twice daily.
    Bhastrika- 1000
    Kapalbhati- 1000
    Anulom Vilom- 200
    Udgeeth- 50
    Bhramri- 50
Brain fog and social anxiety is gone. And ya, women attraction is real.
Thanks for everything that you have put forward in your channel. It has helped me immensely.
That's it for today ..... Cheers Mate!!!!

I have heard a ton of praise about this practice, but have yet to try it. But from other experiences of mine, I can perhaps understand why this would reap several psychological benefits. I am guessing the shock of being exposed to cold water, and the mental endurance to prevail through it, releases the same endorphins as two other hobbies of mine that follow the same line of reasoning: running and weight lifting. There are points in my run where I push myself so hard I almost fall on my knees gasping for air, and points in my weight lifting where I push myself so hard I almost faint from the pain. Both of these experiences create a heavy sense of euphoria afterwards, and always keep me coming back for more. Its the way humans are programmed, to survive through pain or a traumatic experience and prevail just makes you inherently joyful and proud.
