As for as Rods my favorite Rods are all custom builds from a local Rod Buiilder built on either MHX Pro or MHX Elite blanks. Favorite handles are Cork full grips, next are Winn split grips. I hate EVA grips period. Factory Rods are G-Loomis E6X, Lews David Fritts, Berkley Lightening Rods 1st & a tie for 2nd in that order last a Kastking Spiralé Rod for a Carolina Rig 7'8" Very Extra Heavy extra fast. All have cork handles. A few early first rods don't even rank Daiwa AridX 7' MH / Fast, Wright McGill various styles, all EVA handles. They might be okay wirh cork, but not worth the time & money to rebuild them. Thank you for sharing the combo comparisons... 🍺🎣
The Zillion 1000 SV TW Boost is very nice. I have a JDM version 6.3:1 on a David Fritz cranking rod with Berkley Big Game Mono. A GREAT combo for throwing an OG Slim mini even in 15mph wind. I use Braid or Florocarbon on all my other combos... 🍺🎣
What's your Overall best jdm chatterbait rod for 3/8 . Trying to purchase a lighter rod then the combat stick , but between the super destroyer , the blade, a new super combat stick by evergreen nowlol , im lost lol.
Now keep in mind I like shorter rods and I've never actually felt or used any of the combat sticks so hard for me to compare them... Having said all that I don't agree with the glass or glass blend long mh heavy rod for chatterbaits... My favorite chatterbait rod is still the carbonlite 2.0 mh from BPS the mh action of that rod in all the lengths just works... 6'9" is my favorite but in store they all feel like they have the same action and feel... Now for me the Blade is my Favorite all around rod because of how light and balanced it is and for 3/8 and smaller it would be my pick even over the 2.0 next would be the M+ poison adrena over the super destroyer

I picked up a blade end of season and haven’t used it yet but wondering if I should have went TB as my first P5 rod or if the Blade isn’t a bad choice. LoL Can either use with a Zillion SV 1000 or Steez A2. I’m not sure which reel yet :) Have you used the blade for other lures aside from chatterbaits?
