I’m not sure how this channel hasn’t hit atleast 100k. I can only think of one other channel that goes this deeply into tackle. Anyone that fishes and watches TH-cam, should be watching this. Cause not only is there deep knowledge on the tackle, but we are always hearing about the newest stuff on the market! Ben,Geoff, Griff keep killing it and thank you for your consistent effort
I own a Cylone and it is truly a little gem for multiple bait / technique options. I absolutlely enjoyed this review. I had not seen a bunch of these before now.
Can you make a detailed video on megabass travel rods? Really would love to see comparison between rid Triza lineup. You are the only resource giving a good description on Megabass stuff
Love the Mega Dog on the BlackJack with a Tatula 300 when the Striper are drilling the surface at night on Bull Shoals. That is an amazing combo! The Striper love that thing and finding it in the middle of the night is not an issue. I know I'm late to the party on this video. I'm glad to see the Karashi in this lineup. Hopefully this contest will run again this year. I have destroyed them with the Karashi this year. In the winter on warm days when the baitfish sun themselves, and the bass and crappie rise to feed on em, that Karashi is amazing! Bass, walleye, crappie and white bass, it has produced when other baits just won't. I like it cause it can be slow rolled or worked like a crazy fluke bait, so it is appealing to fish in vastly different moods.
I just got the megadog x from my work yesterday and I am very interested to see how it does. I'm going to put it to the test this weekend with some spots and largies in a tournament.
Megabass Karashi “Krushit”, hands down the best top water bait in my boat and I have damn near every single top water lure you can think about. I will say I swapped out the trebles for single inline hooks, nothing better than catching 40-50 fish even if they just 3-4 lbers.
@@frankhunt5018 Kasumi ito, Moroko and Wakasagi…….. can’t go wrong. X Nanahan is my new favorite lure too. Fishing is all about how you work it, do it right and everything insight will bite. Do it wrong and you can be using live bait and nothing wants to come close.
This was great guys. This really helped me learn how to dial the gear in for different lure categories. I’m usually archery hunting this time of year, and get the most Gucci archery equipment money can buy, but my elk tag didn’t work out this year, so it’ll be a nice fall full of fishing trips. 😅
I love it all man. I was born and raised here in AZ, so I grew up hunting and fishing here. As long as I’m doing one of those activities, I’m a happy camper. My only other passion is watching Geoff get closer and closer to becoming a drinker😂. 🍻
Thanks for this video Ben & Griff … I’m always up to hear or talk about top water fishing. But I’m thinking but could be wrong that we’re getting towards the end of the top water bite as Arizona temps start cooling down ? Getting towards the end of Oct into latter part of November ??
Yes. Everything we bring in we bring in with partnership with Megabass USA. This way, both of us can provide product support if anything is to go wrong - baits, rods and gear. There are certain items that we don’t bring in, because the product doesn’t stand up to USA conditions, and we know the user will have a problem. In the case of the iwing fry, the wings melt and warp in temperatures that most of the country get. So most fishermen will have a problem with their bait - which is not acceptable for us or Megabass. Megabass is constantly working on improving materials, and when they get that one dialed we’ll of course bring it in.
5:50…Ben, most Sammy’s do not sit horizontal on the surface……they sit “tail below the surface”…….actually, the only Sammy that does sit parallel to the surface is a Super Sammy (126 mm). I love the Diamanté though…use it often for topwater… Also, (maybe on you next video?)You should let your customers/fans that responded to your Sunday video know about that scam user that replied to everyone some hrs ago …they used your The Hookup Tackle acronym and said to call a number listed above to collect a prize….it’s been going on a lot of fishing sites right now…😒
I'm honestly a little disappointed with Megabass about the Karashi. For a company with their level of attention to detail, it seems odd they would take the lazy route by putting the same blue flash tail on every color.
@@LLTehSaltShakerBlOD close but not quite I’ve used all the rods mentioned here and madbull is just better. That 5d graphite has bends to it that the loomis can’t replicate. I’m not saying the Loomis are bad or anything they’re absolutely amazing rods.

Got my PB (5.9 lb, which is big up here in the North) on a PopX.
What state?
Awesome man! 🏆
Just got a 4 and 5/9 in Rhode Island whopper plopper
One of the best videos I’ve seen in a while, love the way you all have broken down baits and rods! Looks like I have more shopping to do, thanks!!

2nd this
You guys are awesome. This is like going to school but with fun. Very, very, very well done!
My favorite way to fish I absolutely love the burning shad
Been slamming them on the Boa buzz! Catch 3’s all day long on it. Need to submit my pics! Thanks guys
That’s awesome! 🎉

It’s an amazing little bait - and stoked you’re doing so well on them!
That species are you catching and what color do you prefer?

What’s the best line for top water lures you recommend?
Thank you
What's Jeff's favorite top water mini big baits?
21:55 can confirm the made assumption is factual 👍
A bit late here, but can you toss a Dog-X or Kicknocker / Pup on the P5 PopX Stick since it's rated for lures up to 1oz?
Any recommendations for a tad less bougie rods? Maybe something in Rebellion line?
love the rebellion line. Best bang for your buck imo
Levante flat side special or jerkbait special. Or anything the rebellion line!

a couple colors of the Karashi are in my order that’s coming today!
Thank you for your business! Enjoy!

Depends on where ur fishing… Topwater goes 11 months of the year in some spots
Long live the spooks😏
Do you realize when you hold up a package the glare makes seeing anything impossible? Otherwise, perfect.
Why did they discontinue the xpod jr so soon?
Will the replacement wings for the I-wing be back in stock soon??
I hope so!!! There’s no a firm eta at the moment
Is there a reason that you don't carry Iwing fry? i have some and I like them very much.

@@thehookuptackle_usa Thank you for clearing that up! I appreciate it
diablo spec r good for 1/2 to 3/4 imo

Does the Gong count?
Isn’t that bait like a frog?

Boo

Yeeeeeep
I crush big stripers on the gaint megabass spook

Sammy doesn't sit flat on the surface, trust me.
Megabass + Topwater.......any Saltwater.?

Name a rod better than the Madbull. I’ll wait…
Loomis 843 or 844 MBR
