If youtube or the internet had been available in the 1960 I feel sure that the 1940's generation would have said the same thing about Waylon and Buck Owens version of country. I like a variety of music genres. I am not a fan of rap or hip-hop or ballet music. These forms of expression just does not fit my taste. But they are legitimate forms of expression. I grew up listening to Tennessee Ernie Ford, Jim Reeves and Hank Williams Sr. I like some of their stuff but not all of it. Just like today's "country music".
