Thanks much. I didn't plan on releasing so many videos. I had a backlog of videos made. This one was made 6 weeks ago. And I'm still releasing a video from 2 hours ago. I'll get caught up soon. Probably do three a week. It's actually been 2 a day for a few weeks
Fun Fact: Bourbon St Restaurant and Bar started life in what was the now demolished (and infamous) Washington Square, just off Sukhumvit, near Soi 22. I ate there in 1993 and intend visiting the Soi 63 version on my next visit to BKK.
This video brings back a lot of memories of staying in a condo on Ekkamai back in January. I like a firm mattress, but the one in the condo I was staying in was like a brick. The day after my arrival I went to that Big C and got a Japanese style mattress topper for around US$ 30-35 on sale. The bed was still firm, but now comfortable. I wish I could have brought the topper home to the States. Not a lot of signals to allow safe crossing of the street. Crossing was always an experience. I didn't get to try the Korean BBQ, but I did go Soul Korea Town down the street for snack food and kimchi.
Hi... addicted to your videos. Curious if I could make a request and ask you to point out any health food type small eateries or restaurants in the areas that you cover. Thanks in advance.
Have you ever eaten at the Bourbon Street Restaurant & Qyster Bar, Boutique Hotel, on Soi 63, I hear they do great Jambalaya and Mexican food. I’ve booked a room there on my next stay in Bangkok 😊
Actually, it's Suu Kum Veet. But, only other expats seem to care. I'm from San Diego. You can pretend to be Mexican and say Saaan Deeee Eeegggooo. We just laugh. I think most Thai laugh when a farang tries to sound Thai. I'm not trying to be critical either. But it's really not a big deal. If you want to sound like a Thai, it's Sooo Kuuum Veeeet. But ya, I agree. I say many Thai streets wrong. I said Suu Cuum Viit for years." This video is old. Today, I do say Suu Kuum Viit. But, any Thai will say Veeet. We do the best we can. Most Thais can't say many English words. That's cool. I still get a kick out of my UK buddies trying to say aluminum. Ha ha
My favorite pizza is on ekamai at Park Lane - Pizzeria Mazzie. brick oven pizza and the owner (Jon) is from Brooklyn NY. excellent pizza and friendly people! if you are looking for GOOD pizza, check this place out!
I look forward to your vlogs every day
