If you enjoy checking out Bangkok and other SE Asia spots, consider subscribing. I'll continue to make videos showing the streets in Bangkok and beyond. Thailand is amazing and a great place to visit, work or retire. I'll do my best to show you how to live affordably in SE Asia. Plus, enjoy some great side trips from Bangkok.
Yes, traffic is crazy on zsoi 63. I guess the highway pours onto this Soi. I helped the guy who got hit by the bike. He had a broken arm. The taxi driver was OK. It was tough to see. Looked painful.
That's my hometown, Eakamai. When I was younger I've been everywhere every soi but I haven't been back for about 45yrs now.I can't hardly recognize any of these
Oh man, I won my case with the VA and I'm on my way over in July. Thanks for all the info on your channel! Turned 50 a week ago so all it set. Between you and Chris Parker and all the Pattaya/Hua Hin channels I feel blessed to gain all this knowledge to make a realistic move over. Looking forward to meeting you one day. I think a lot of guys want to make the move but don't have or put the effort into making it a reality. You've kept me grounded and with my eye on the prize. Cheers.
One thing I don't like which is common in Thailand is motorbikes will travel in the opposite direction against traffic along the curbside. When you're crossing the streets you don't expect them because they're going in the wrong direction. In Bangkok, you must have your head on a swivel. Always expect the unexpected!
This is true. It is very common to have a bike going against traffic. Or against traffic in the sidewalk. Keep situational awareness as my flight instructor would say.
That's a good idea. But in many parts of town there isn't a train station. Or the nearest overpass is a mile away. Sukhimvit has a way to get across often. Most other streets do not.
Eager Expat Sir, can you you-tube Sai Mai which is north east from Bangkok city center. Sai Mai has the highest elevation of all of Bangkok metropolis. We are moving to Thailand and that is where we will be looking to purchase a house, last year when we were there we saw a new park being built there and lots of gated-community new homes construction. Thank you Sir.
I went to Vista High (84) but I lived since 1990 in Pacific Beach. I hung out in Encinitas often Lou's Records was the best. Or the Belly Up in Solana Beach. I grew up near Tri-City Hospital as well as a string of Navy bases. Born on Guam, then Rota, Spain, etc.. I did 4 years on a San Diego ship myself.

@@larrycress3970 Ya, I was at the old high school too. I carried in Oceanside from 1990-1993 then a few of us left. Shoot I forget his last name. Vince, tall Mexican guy went to Encinitas. My old T-6 Johnny Wade was in Encinitas off and on as a supervisor. Plus, Bonnie what's her name was a supervisor in Oceanside. I think she became postmaster in Encinitas. Maybe in the early 2000's. Still, we have a decent pension. I can't complain.

Good on ya Joe for helping the biker. Hard to see that but you've said so many times to be careful even on side walks. Crazy traffic in this vid!

I'll bet it's really changed. I've been running around that area about 10 years, and it's really changed
You're a good guy helping out that injured person.
I had to help the guy. He got nailed just heading to work. It could have been worse.

That's great, man. Get on over here. I'm glad my small channel has helped a little. More videos to come.

Thanks so much
Thank you for watching
That looked really bad pedestrian being hit by a motorcycle, I do like you're concept of aimlessly going to different neighborhoods very kool🤟
Yeah, I agree. Those bikes come out of nowhere
Moo-ka ta is Thai bbq. I believe it translates to pork grill (roughly). Another great video. Thanks Joe.
I love that BBQ
90% of the time I used the pedestrian overpass when I was in Bangkok.

I'll put that on the list. But, I have my hands full in the central Bangkok area. There is so much more to film
I lived in vista ca work in Encinitas , what part of San Diego were you at?

Joe, why did you stop uploading on daily basis?
Too much work. Most guys do 2 a week. I still do 3 or 4. That's still plenty of editing
❤❤❤
I appreciate you watching
Yeah, crossing Soi 63 is not fun.
It's a busy street
