I'm pretty sure the slaughter of innocent civilians happened before the decision to bomb Gaza. If the Palestinians want to attack the Israel military then do what they gotta do but leave the civilians out of it, especially in the wanton bloodletting that happened on that dark day. The only people that are happy that this event is happening is the seditious politicians and the military industrial complex that pay to have these seditious politicians in their hip pockets

It's easier to see when you use Europe as an example.
So, you have the UK, Spain, Norway, Belgium ect. All of them are democracies, none of them are Republics. Why? Because they're all monarchies. Democratic, parliamentary monarchies to be exact.
Then you have your France, Germany, Poland, Ireland ect. These are also democracies, but they don't have kings making them republics. Most are representative, parliamentary republics, Germany is a representative, parliamentary, federal, republic, almost exactly like the US, which is a representative, presidential, federal, republic. France is centralized rather than federal but semi presidential rather than parliamentary (the president has more power than most heads of state but not as much as the US president)
Then you have the Vatican, which is an electoral absolute theocratic monarchy (the pope is elected but the vote is limited to the Cardinals and while he's a religious head globally, in the Vatican he's a monarch with theoretically unlimited power), Russia which is a totalitarian representative oligarhic republic (no king means it's a republic, the duma makes them representative but all the power rests with one man, his power only being checked by a few powerful individuals and the people being largely powerless means they're actually a republic that's not a democracy), Switzerland which is a democratic, federal direct republic (they vote for a huge number of issues directly via referendums vs giving power to people who represent them in parliament) and the Gulf states like Saudi Arabia are Absolute, Hereditary monarchies, so rare examples of non democracies and non republics.
Democratic means there are fair elections. Republic means there's no king. Representative that you don't get to vote on individual bills, you elect someone who votes for you. All of these are incredibly common.
Even the electoral system isn't as different as people claim. After all in a Parliamentary system the executive is elected by the legislative in a very similar way to how electors elect the president.
Essentially, saying the US form of government is a republic, not a democracy is like saying your car isn't an automatic transmission, it's a 4x4. And being a representative republic is about as much of a differentiator as having a car that runs on gas.
The US is different because of individual policies, but it's system is pretty bog standard.

The fact of the matter is we are where we are now, in current times, 90 percent of people alive right now weren’t even alive when Israel was founded. Hamas is evil, and A LOT of Palestinians support not only Hamas but what they did a few days ago, and how they did it. And A LOT of Israelis support the right wing of the Israeli government. Both governing bodies are awful. The people who should get the least hate are the ones condemning both sides equally. 🎉

@@Adrenaline_Rushh22 to keep it simple, what you say is truth, both are horrible for committing atrocities to each other. But if we talk about reality, we have Palestine under Abbas in the West Bank, and then we have pariah government of Hamas which rules Gaza - because they won elections with majority's support. Israel doesn't wage war with Palestine, this is what people don't understand. Palestine under Abbas government is actually willing to talk with Israel and then get independent with recognized territories they have, however, it's not possible, because Palestine doesn't control Gaza and has no authority there. While the reason why Israel occupies West Bank (Palestine) basically for safety reasons - to prevent it from becoming another Gaza, a place where terrorists could settle. So what do we need:
      1. Hamas must be eliminated, it's the worst evil here. Talks with Hamas are not possible, they don't appeal to reason. Their only goal is to eradicate this world from Jews.
      2. Gaza and West Bank need to be unified under one government (Under Abbas if he wont die until that happens).
      3. Agreement between Israel and Palestine should be signed, which will force Israel to deoccupy all Palestinian recognized lands and recognize their sovereignty.
That's it. It's so simple, and it was like this for long time. Everything we have now could be prevented, if 20th century Palestininian people and representatives were not so stubborn in waging wars against Israel instead of talking, while they had offered plan from UN which they rejected, and later multiple proposals from Israel as well. To make it worse, Arab League had very anti-semitic policy which encouraged Palestine and other Arab countries to fight Israel and exterminate it if possible. Here we see, that more Arab countries are warming their relations with Israel, and that we have Abbas who's willing to talk, not mindlessly fight for god.
TL:DR: 20th century Palestine is much different from the Palestine we have now, this Palestine is fine, and isn't in war with Israel, Israel is in war with terrorists which occupy Palestinian lands and brainwash their own poor people with cannibalistic propaganda. However, Israel must be under world's surveillance so Israel is not gonna be able to commit atrocities we all know their government wants.

You don't need to step a foot in the Middle East to have an answer to this question, much like how you didn't need to have set a foot in either the Middle East or America to have an answer on the question of Dubaya's "war on terror" is enough to have him sentenced to a short drop with a sudden stop for crimes against humanity.

1 is the right way of thinking.
Also, if you really want to educate yourself, for the love of God, don't try to do it using the internet. Go to a library, look up some history books and academic texts about Israel and Palestine. Not saying that academia is 100% immune to propaganda, but at least published books about history are proofread by other historians and scholars, so if the author/s tried to sneak in some glaring bullshit, it would've been removed/corrected early on.
You can't say the same about the internet.

If you have Kanopy through your library, there’s an old documentary called “Arab-Israeli Dialogue” that just shows 40min of dialogue between an Israeli journalist and Palestinian poet, and it definitely helped me understand the historical background and perspectives a bit better, so I'd really recommend that if you’re okay with slower paced media. For general non-partisan news, I think that BBC, AP, and Reuters all have solid reputations, and Politifact does exclusively fact-checking. Organizations like Doctors Without Borders, etc also I think have the right focus on preventing loss of life for all involved, so I trust their accounts. Honestly, I think that Wikipedia has a solidly unbiased tone for a lot of things, though you probably want to verify specific claims. I appreciate your perspective; there’s a lot of pressure (as evidenced by the video lol) to have the Correct Opinion on everything, and that inevitably ends up in a lot of oversimplification and misunderstanding, so I'm glad for people like yourself who care about understanding complicated situations. Best wishes~

These countries have been at each other's throats for decades, and certainly long before you, I, or likely anyone else commenting about this conflict in the first place were born. Needless to say this is, unfortunately, not going to stop anytime soon.
Saying not to choose sides is a smart decision because we literally have no power to do anything about this and there is no reason why we should feel anything other than indifferent towards another fucking conflict between two countries who hate each other to the core and will not rest until one of them is wiped off the map. Nothing we do or say will have any effect. The world's best diplomats have been trying to resolve this for years, and evidently even THEY have been failing. You can acknowledge that what's going on is horrible regardless of who is on what side and leave it at that.
Also, nice strawman. They said to simply not choose sides, they never once said or even implied either country was in the right. But it's alright, I'm sure the Palestinian people are really hanging in there thanks to your bravery.

Considering only one side has been doing unprovoked attacks the past 50 years and only one side intentionally goes after civilians maybe that’s the side you shouldn’t be on. I get it, it’s hard to watch that in order for Jews to defend themselves as simply existing Israel has to deal with Gaza elected Hamas that uses civilian areas to use the innocent as human shields and martyrs for propagandaaa, but it’s not hard to see through if you’re following what’s going on. Israel literally gives warnings to the civilians before they bomb a building that they say will be leveled. Yet, even on the BBC news there was a man from Gaza calling the children who stayed and died Martyrs. That’s the problem, but it’s not confusing as to what side to be on. Hamas and their harm to Muslims and Israelites has got to stop. Palestine should not have invaded Israel. And yes it is Israel both by law and literally being the most historic ancestral homeland of the Jews. Palestine was free to be free in Palestine but they refuse to use money for their own freedoms and instead used it to hate and kill Jews.
