    hell yeah man, the only thing
    i will suggest is meguiars back to black for the plastic parts (like the coolant tank and the cold air intake) it really helps make it looks clean and black. just a quick wipe on, let it sit, and wipe off

    Great job I clean my Engine the same way and I find Paint brushes work great too if you also spray degreaser directly onto the Brush bristles and work it in speeds things up and plastic wrap also known as cling film in the U.K. to cover electrical connection

  • @100thomasmagnum
    @100thomasmagnum 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Hey bro. Ya know my engine is filthy...nice how to vid. I think i have always stayed away from cleaning the engine cause of paranoia regarding potential water damage issues. What about all the electrical ... wires, connections, etc? Are you just avoiding having the degreaser and soapy water from touching those parts? Do you need to oil down area afterwards as a rust prevention measure? Again, good video!

    • @NateRider
      @NateRider  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The wires are already waterproof so light washover them will be fine, just don't drench them like you see in other videos. I detail it by hand and I watch where I spray and clean. Avoid what you think may cause damage and you should be good. There are only few places, but the rest will be fine

    Your engine isn't dirty, ONLY dusty. Your recommended wash is 4x a year and your engine still looks good after 6 months. This is like a once a year thing tbh or every two years. Unless you go to car shows every month then detailing it every month is a waste of time.

    I wash cars at a dealership and we spray some degreaser onto the engine then scrub it with a brush then we pressure wash it. We never cover anything up and never had a problem with the engine. To be honest even though I’ve washed thousands of engine bays this way I still won’t pressure wash my own cars engine bay.
