    What a transformation! 😮 I tried so many things and I just had to try it this way. Also if you have darker laminate floor or not patterned this brush might not be the way to go. This floor is light with many colors and has faux pores so the brush did not alter it.

      Some types of synthetic flooring materials benefit from having their sealing layer (wax, oil? Not sure what the same is in English) refreshed every few years. This light be one of those, and it might be an idea to look up whether it needs or benefits from resealing now.

      Similar problem, solved by mopping with muriatic acid diluted in water. Wear gloves and keep the area ventilated. No need to kneel to scrub, just mop several times. 🙋🏻‍♀️

      I had this problem before something that work really good for me was oven cleaner. Make sure to test it first you don't want it to destroy your laminate floor. what I do is I usually spray the floor I let it sit for about a minute then with a microfiber just start wiping it off the longer you let it sit the better it work but there's also the possibility of it discoloration of linoleum, it was pure coincidence that I found out it worked on linoleum floors. One day I was cleaning my oven and a bunch of the cleaner fell onto the floor so I wiped it off the the floor looked amazingly clean.

      @sparkyheberling6115 ปีที่แล้ว +80

      @@jarod2847Oven cleaner is the opposite of acidic. The active ingredient is lye, which is a strong base that saponifies grease. Naturally, you spot-test first. I once used EasyOff Extra Strength (yellow can) to clean a linoleum floor that had over forty year's worth of grease deposited on it. You couldn't walk in stockinged feet on the floor because socks would stick. Oven cleaner was the only thing that worked once the grease had oxidized.
      Today, I would use SuperClean degreaser because it costs less and is not an aerosol. I would buy a large bottle of it and apply with a paintbrush.

      @wolfdogg9938 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I know this is an old comment, but just in case. Comet is banned for unlisted chemical, not the main ingredient. The main ingredient goes by a lot of different names, calcium carbonate, carbonic acid, calcite, oxalic acid. If you can't find a substitute in powder form you can probably find it as a liquid, just look for a white runny paste product thats labeled 'non abrasive cleanser'. In the US its also branded Ajax powder cleanser and Bar Keepers Friend powder, and Soft Scrub liquid cleanser. It also might be found in Metal cleaning or Glass cleaner marketed towards fish tanks (used to remove mineral buildup).
      I would never use it on plastic or linoleum though, it won't damage porcelain, metal, or glass but it will scratch and strip the finish from linoleum and plastics. Best bet is to find a restaurant or bar with a lot of brass and polished wood and ask what products they use.

    Yes…industrial cleaner and hot water. Years ago I cleaned/stripped the pewabic tile in our front entry. I was bored and between jobs 🤷🏽‍♀️ I discovered that the trick was to use old rags soaked in the solution of industrial cleaner. Soak the cloth and let it sit while cleaning a previous tile. Slow process but it worked. I let it sit for about 5/10 minutes. This was an area that had decades of cleaner/wax (yuck) and had never been stripped (to my knowledge). Used towels/sponges/whatever to remove the ick. 6x6 area. Two days. My mother was a school principal and the head maintenance guy provided the cleaner. Don’t recall the name but saw it in HD years later. Note: initially tried a steamer. Provided decent results but soaking worked better IMO.

My grandma was also a Stanley home product dealer and I was helping her carry some stuff and dropped a bottle of Try It on the floor. When I cleaned up the try it the linoleum looked brand spanking new. All you need is a bottle of try it and your regular mop and stuff and it will make your floor look brand spanking new. You don't need to brush or anything. It will also take gunk off of vinyl siding.
