I feel like the gx550 will be a great used car to buy 5 years from now. I would think anyone willing to put 80k into a car won’t mind paying maintenance fees and will want something with more convenience and options like Audi, and BMW offer. This is either a lazy attempt by Lexus or they will keep adding features slowly to keep folks interested. I think they tried a bit more in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. I get that reliability is key, but they should have made many of the options as standard. Like HUD, memory seats, heated seats front and second row, etc. They did some good marketing. Cause people really want them, including myself.
@@MD2525-1 do you think it’s a quality issue. And not a lot of them come out like yours?? Idk if I want to get one if they come out with windows shaking or squeaky rattling interior
There’s a dozen or more available at a Lexus dealer 2 miles from my house. It used to have a waiting list but no more. Wait a few more years to buy especially first redesigned model year with a new engine.
I love both the exterior and interior. But not fond of the price at all! If this luxury model in particular had better mpg and priced in the mid 50k area I would trade my vehicle and purchase it in a heartbeat!
This is such a waste of money. Doesnt look luxury. No space, no cargo space. All plastic. Plus the worst thing is 15mpg and combined 21. They should bring a hybrid GX. Then people might buy. Right now the best Lexus SUV is TX. More space, more cargo, plus V6 hybrid with 404 Hp and 29 miles per gallon.
Lost me at twin turbo, most toyota and lexus consumers go with these 2 brands for reliability. Turbos are forced induction, may give better mpgs, but is way harder on ur engine and more unreliable. Stop with the forced induction, give consumers the option for naturally aspirated
I believe that’s why it’s detuned. This car is pretty reserved in the horsepower department for a v6 twin turbo. Turbo tech has also come a long way (see other reliable brand, Subaru) and I trust Toyota to deliver on reliability.
this is why chinese brands are blowing Japanese's, american and European's brands out of the water... so now toyota/ lexus has decided that all their SUV's should look the same? just different sizing? why this design laziness?
Nah....nah...no way... i rather take the money for this GX550 and go buy the previous generation 2021 LX570 with very low mileage. ... you get way more SUV for the money...
It’s so tiny and unimpressive for that price. Slightly larger than a gorilla hatchback. I’ll take the 4 cylinder Carolla over this and save $55,0000. Cheers!

Hood flutter, windows shaking when rolled down mid way, hwy range of 225 miles on a full tank. 80k with an apr of 7.5%. All from personal experience
What would you considered getting if you didn’t buy this gx?
@Fumbiii16 I only wanted to buy the new gx550. At around 80k a car should be absolutely worry free especially when new
@@MD2525-1 do you think it’s a quality issue. And not a lot of them come out like yours?? Idk if I want to get one if they come out with windows shaking or squeaky rattling interior
@@Fumbiii16mine is smooth as glass, no squeaks or rattles- hood does flutter but I’m not staring at the hood when I’m driving, it’s a sweet ride.
At what speed is the hood fluttering? The windows?
I love it! It’s so different from my mom car, the Cadillac Escalade. Great addition!
I love the boxy shape
Your how-to videos are the best! I like the exterior color too. Thanks for another excellent video.
I would pick Luxury.
The interior still needs to be luxuirsted
Bingo!

Jeff, The GX is surely the best choice in the Luxury SUV segment.
Yes yes I love it
@@Toyotajeff 😉
This gotta be sarcasm 😂 it's an overpriced land cruiser
The Overtrail needs the 3rd row option... to compete with Defender and the new Armada Pro4x...
I, for one -- am looking forward to Jeff signing in his first Christmas musical special.
Wow that would very fantastic
lol 😂 No! Dorky voice.
I want to love this car, I’m in the market and it is almost perfect… but the horrible gas mileage and no opening pano roof is trash for $90k
Turbos make it less reliable and 10 gear transmissions typically don’t work well, the computer sometimes can’t decide which gear to shift…
I think I want this trim do you know what dealership I can get this I'm in vegas
how does lexus keep making this suv with smaller relative cargo space. the 460 didnt hold jack and this is way smaller than grand highlander cargo.
Pealse I want to buy this legendary car can I pay how much down payment?
dynamic or not, does the roof retract??
No
I prefer a regular moon roof that can open
My car has a button labeled Cool
Box, does yours?
I will wait until they come out with a Hybrid option. Those MPG stats are not good in my opinion.
what iphone is that?

LOL
Honestly, i wish it had an option on this trim to have a 2nd row bench and eliminate 3rd row
There is that option just fold down the third row flat. I do that.
Also it has a 2nd row bench, captains chairs are an option .
Nice but early engine failures.Tundra Sequoia & GX550 all same bad engine.Very rare for Toyota.
It’s made in Japan
woooo!!!
WE own a 2020 GX, the new GX is so sexy but its sooo small... I honestly don't understand why there is such a waitlist.
Why a GX 550?? It’s not a hybrid yet.
❤❤❤
I'm sorry, are you saying Tic Tac, like the mint or TikTok?
I can answer why not: price
Broke 😂

Too similar to Toyota inside out. I would take this over the LC or new 4Runner just for the engine.
