@@whattheshmitty No no it's "Let's send a team of four which three of are LITERAL IDIOTS, and will want the fourth guy to clear the entire building by himself."
"I wish I had four guys", that right there pretty much sums up my experience with the first Doorkickers game and from what I've seen Doorkickers 2 as well. It's like they sat down and went "ok, what's the minimal realistic number of shooters required to complete this mission IRL? Half of that is what the player gets." 😂
I think it's "what's the minimal amount of shooter that are required that have a chance of success in real life for this operation if we don't care about their safety.
My first look at this mission had me seriously underestimating the enemy strength. I used the spy cam as well, but didn't use a breach. I tossed a couple frags through the door and tried to flow into the living room. Lost a man to the gunner in the bunker and responded with two more frag grenades and pie'd the rest of the map. Second look had me going full violence of action with a wall breach on the western wall and door. I lead with four frags through the door and breach. Then fought from the breaches, flowed into the living room and pie'd as much as possible. And any remaining dead space was cleared with frags. Only having two men for this mission is nuts. I think you're right on this being a mission they're getting awards from. The only reason to clear this with two men is to protect other guys taking fire from the bunker. There's a couple things I'd like them to add to the game. A mission briefing; just a simple paragraph giving you an understanding of the situation, enemy strength, yada yada. And a sort of 'hardcore intel mode' where room layouts are invisible to you. The idea being ISR isn't usually going to give you much information of the inside of the building. Reacting to an unknown space is pretty intense.
From the layout of the building, my headcanon is that those two guys broke off of a small force that was clearing out a number of hostile strong points to specifically engage that one MG nest. I've ready accounts of similar things happening all the time in the Vietnam War, where one tonfour guys would perform a high-risk, high-reward flank on a machine gun team. Both VC and allied forces did this.
This one proved very difficult. Just seeing at how much possible cover the enemy has compared to the operators is scary. This one has been messy on coop sessions lol, the lack of operators proved difficult as well. Was really looking forward to your approach on this one and I'm definitely not disappointed!
Hey, what do you think about escape from tarkov ? From the amazing gun customization to the somewhat realistic gun play/firefights, I think that watching you using 'real life' tactics in EFT could be really interesting. Have a good day, keep up the good work !
@@antoshq1985 yep pretty much. A lot of solo work with occasional teamwork in an anarcic moshpit of high density action. It doesn't lend itself well to real life situations you might get into.
i smoked the choke point in front of that barricaded room in the back after clearing the first area and kitchen, and tossed a few grenades in there lol
Heh, let's just employ some imagination! Though uncommon, it's not impossible for the building to be built on a hill with the entrance at street level but then the slope enabling a downstairs area that still has windows. If we imagine the hill is fairly tall but not too steep, then it could still overlook a main road or town entrance below it, making it a good spot for a defensive gun emplacement... Perhaps, haha!
Tough map for sure, yeah. Although I have learned that it's always best to do what the map designer probably did *not* anticipate, then the random spawns aren't as punishing. Now that I think about it, that probably goes for real life as well: Do what the enemy didn't expect you to do when setting up.
7:44 Everything about that breach was awesome and the first frag would likely have killed anyone in that space. Forthe purpose of being deliberate, however, when you pushed into that tv space on the left to get an angle down the hallway to the right, there was some dead space left that was not fully cleared at least not by the operators own two eyes (perhaps peripheral vision). Granted there were already confirmed dead guys and on top of the frag and clear, I imagine it's safe to proceed without double checking but for cqb wouldn't you want to clear that angle to ensure they are all dead and not huddled behind a pillar or something? Love your analysis & theory and not trying to overanalyze but for my own knowledge do you think that would be a valuable play or safe to ignore?
I’d rate this map to be the most realistic compare to some others. Still can’t wait for the mods to kick in with more realistic maps and unit size. Always disliked 2 man only maps. Still entertaining as ever
The last guy you killed was the RPK gunner who took up position in the DFP and mowed down my guys as soon as they stepped in the main entrance. Bravo to you for being so thorough.
Dude, your videos are awesome for those of us interested in games like this but with no real life experience with CQB tactics. I loved the original Door Kickers, but the additional equipment makes this game more challenging just because of the depth of options. Can the AI pick up weapons around the map? Or do you simply point things out for immersion?
Got it last night to play when I'm not on tarkov. Very fun once I learned the keybinds. But a squad sized element is much larger than 5 its actually 13. That would be a fireteam sized element.
The military could really use this... especially with today's youth... if you could program/animate their training facilities, this would really augment their training, by being able to simulate their room clearing! Or as part of the preperation for a mission if you had the blueprints of a building... its super cool this. I'm buying it as soon as it comes on sale in steam!
I love your content, the way you explain everything is very down-to-earth and understandable even for a "civilian" audience imho. The only thing that I find a little... odd, I would say, is how you always emphasize playing "the most realistic & challenging games", but man, I haven't seen anybody spend so much time in the "paused" mode. You seem to be very experienced, you've seen such operations play out in real time and you've partaken in the development of such situations yourself... why not play more "realistically", and use pause mode only for simultaneous actions (any actions that would happen "simo" IRL because of planning&communication, but can't happen simo ingame by controlling one Operator at a time)?
Because I'm controlling all of the operators, not just myself. In order to illustrate realistic decisions/actions that all of these guys would take in a real world scenario, I have to stop it and think for each of them.
You have to have an infantry or SWAT background, at the very least. Took me 3 minutes to decide to subscribe to your channel, this is a crazy cool way to run this game, you are very knowledgable.

Hi, I have a question about the game. I notice sometimes you have a yellow line pointing to where they look and other times its a blue line. I know they do slightly different things but I cant seem to figure out how to separate them when im playing myself, any help would be appreciated.
Right click somewhere on path and drag (yellow arrow) will make the operator to look only for 1 sec or so to that direction, Ctrl + right click (blue arrow) will make the operator aim in that direction and strafing until you change orders, shift + right click (purple arrow) will make the operator to aim to where arrow is pointing and keep aiming to that point while walking until you change orders.
