Great plan for this map. I pushed the first fire team up into the courtyard after pulling long security up by the cars as soon as second team finished entering the western structure through the northwest window so I could get out of sight from the windows in the east building's gas storage room, and to prevent the folks in the east building from reinforcing through the courtyard into the western building. Definitely see the value in handling it the way you did, though--my variation was a calculated risk, but it was also a sphincter-puckering six seconds for the boys on fire team one...
Love the content, just watched every Video of the series and subscribed. Playing this myself and always try to go for single Plan mission but it is really nice to see your approach.
I used to play the original Door Kickers and this sequel looks friggin amazing. I dont know what your background is, but however you came by your knowledge it adds alot to the quality of these videos. Oh, and always remember, you can get Door Kickers on your phone. So you can get good effects while you're poopin :) lol
that entry through the window was agonizingly stressful. I mean, you knew it would be risky, but then as you move in a guy creeps from the door, your first trooper spots a guy inside the room, the situation was getting worse by the second. Nice work there.
@@ControlledPairsGaming May I ask two questions?. Tried googling this but came out empty: 14:26 what does high-low mean? is it one man crouched in front of a second one standing, to have both firing even in a narrow space where they can't simply be side to side? Also, I... kind of get the general idea, but can't put into words, what do mean when you use the term "geometry" in all this situations? and what do you mean by improving it? is it the more you achieve the L shape the "better your geometry" is?.
@@icecold1805 since CPG hasn't responded I'll take a Crack at it : High/low does indeed mean a man crouched with a standing person behind effectively one high and one low. I dunno if the game was updated to make it work yet but they couldn't shoot when kneeling or something when he made this according to other comments (in another video he says he's going to have the guy kneel for improved accuracy so it may work now) and that's what he's bemoaning when he kills the last guy in the first building. As for geometry he's referring, essentially, to his positioning with respect to coverage of threats. A man off to one side of a door, unable to see inside it while his partners cross the threatened area in front of it has poor geometry. If he changes his relative position to the door the triangle of coverage (a literal one in Door Kickers) that he projects into the threat is improved. He has improved his geometry. This is related to the concept of slicing the pie or pie-ing off the threat spaces which is when you come out of cover/concealment to breach in a controlled way aiming just to the side of, say, the doorframe so the instant a threat becomes visible you can neutralize at minimum risk to yourself. The room may not be circular but you have 'sliced' the pie by inspecting essentially triangular crosssections of it as you made your breach. Hope that helps
stuff of note: -pretty sure the items in the mission do not explode/react explosively -Grenadiers can be used to quickly clear windows of glass and curtains; don't think they can blast corrugated sheeting you see on some levels though. They also can't blow through the triple paneled wood "doors" -AFAIK even smacking the gas tanks with a GL does not set them off -Personally, I barely use Grenadiers as I find that I'd prefer another assaulter since their choice of rifles tends to make them more versatile compared to having a grenade launcher. Entry: -I've found that the most comfortable method for this mission is to push in aggressively with 4 assaulters; once clear, have a Machine gunner and a marksman take overwatch at the first/yellow car. "A" building(building to the bottom left of view, to the direct right of team as they enter): -4 assaulters then breach down into the first building; this eliminates the danger of them climbing through the window. Next, hold security on the door to the big room with a pair, second pair clears rest of building. Lastly, simultaneous breach of big room from 2 different doors. -After building is secured, second pair of machine gunner/marksman comes in to set up on the TV table. Courtyard: -Blow wood paneling/garage doors on "A" building, push out Locked door with assaulters with overwatch from both teams of machine gunner/marksman. -one assaulter watches the door to "B" building, -prepare charge on wood paneling/garage doors on "B" building, assaulters standing either side to allow clear line of fire for TV table team. "B" building(building to top right of view, across courtyard from team as they enter): -Blow wood paneling/garage doors on "B" building, push in with assaulters and clear building.
The point of this series is to play the game using realistic tactics, not min/max to exploit the more unrealistic aspects of the game design. Your plan is perfect for getting the best possible score, though.
I feel like sending frags or 40mm into a room full of high explosives or fuel might not be a great plan, but it looks like secondary explosions aren't a thing in Door Kickers 2?
good vid. there were only a few minor thing wrong in my opinion. 1 heavy use of explosive in a munitions factory. 2 you often have men walk in front of your security. instead of behind. 3 you start out by covering behind, but quickly forget about it. 4 you breach a room with only 2 fighters, these are small thing, and come down to the different way we were taught. great vidio and i'm strongly considering to get it myself.
My tactic was to breach a hole in the top wall (where you threw the first flashbang), then flashbang the inside and stack up on both entrances. IRL I guess I would have blown all those storage tanks up lol
Yeah, I chuckled at him trying to shoot at long range after saying he didn't think it was necessary. That said, my mo is all explosives everywhere, then cry when I accidentally kill my squad.
I've watched a few videos so far and they're great, good job! I did want to mention however, that the units the game pre-places aren't always the best. For example, on some of the tiny CQC maps they pre-place a Machine Gunner, obviously not the best unit. Otherwise, very good analysis!
So you and I almost did everything the same. Except I kept one marksman for that first alley and I didn't use explosives, except for blowing a hole in the wall of the garage, exactly how you did because not knowing the game yet I thought there could be secondary explosions and like you said about over pressure. It's great game though. Fun stuff and good work.
i did a triple wall breach along the starting wall, used my marksman down the bottom for that corridor and later moved the other one up top between the two cars, looked pretty cool haha. Could only enter the top room though, the bottom two rooms had crates in the way but i had my guys peaking into the breaches the clear the building pretty much
Just wall charge the 3 rooms to get lateral coverage for the first building while the other 5 guys clear the entrance, then you reposition them and push forward, easier and cleaner
My strat was the default setup, put assault+mark to pull long on the cars, blew a hole on the top and middle room from spawn, full view of everything, then just send them through the top window, clear the rest and another wall charge on second building garage.
@@ControlledPairsGaming Looking forward to it! Keep up the good work. Also if you take recommendations... I recommend to try out Frozen Synapse 2... its a bit older game, but I think its still fun
I cleared this mission with one casualty on my first attempt. Second attempt I brought rocket launchers. I secured the left half of the map, then the middle, and then I blew up most of the building on the right. Once the smoke cleared, the remaining enemies were picked off one by one. Nobody on my team was injured on the second attempt.
8:50 If someone comes out of the red space in the first room won't they kill the first guy looking the other way before the guy that is holding that doorway can even see him?
I kinda disagree with your choice of a dynamic entry through the window as as you've seen it takes a while to push people through a window. you did say it was a dangerous place to be in so i understand why you did it though. i think it would have been safer to push through while having your guys quick pie the entryways so as to cover the team passing through
Good feedback! It was super dangerous of course, I tried to mitigate (and did) with a flashbang and a frag grenade before entering, resulting in 2 EKIA prior to entry. It all worked out luckily.
I'm like-minded, but if you have a passion for CQB then it's more than worth the money. I finished all the missions in no time, cause I was hooked haha. Co-op feature works great as well!
It's early access, but it will be TOTALLY worth it! Already some awesome maps from the community, even before the Workshop is supported (is on it's way though!). Not regretted this buy one bit. There are still a ton of features that I would like to see added, but those will come in time.
Ugh. Hearing you talk gives me flashbacks to MOUT drill after MOUT drill. If I never run a glass house again it'll be too soon. Great content though man. Even if you do talk like an LT
Fuck you got lucky at 10:00. That guy should have hosed everyone and wall. You also grenaded a massive gas tank a couple of times XD I know it's background but I imagine procedure is pretty clear about that haha Would love to see you commit to total doctrine runs even if you have to fudge the game itself.
You can wallshot into the first building without opening the gate, I thought that was a good idea as advancing down the alleyway is pretty dangerous and window entry is to be avoided
I put one marksman, one support and two assaults at gates, threw couple of grenades, a smoke and took this position, while three guys were charging wall breachers to all three rooms. Then I left marksman and assault at gates and put two people on each charge. Worked for me tho I'm a zero at tactics xD
Did you serve or currently serving or just like tactics amazing didn’t think there was a game like this will be a pick up also could be a great way to help my marines apply what they learn in a different way on there free time
I would have started by trying to use wall breach charges to blast open the rooms on the left side of the left building. Then using that chaos to to force myself in and sweep the entire building all at once.
I dont know what this is, but I know what I want to see. Please show the full scenario playing out just by itself after you've gone through all the tactic
Realizing that i’m 2 months late, I am curious- considering this is a vbied compound I figured there would be much more care for your use and placement of explosives. I would think that the fact that you are in a compound that is wired to explode would be in the front of your mind all the time, but it seems that when you use explosives, you only care that it clears a certain area, instead of taking into account collateral damage and possibly setting off the compound. Is this because it’s a game that doesn’t really account for secondary explosions? Is it a difference between real life and the video game, or is this realistic? I noticed that one of your first moves was to use the demolition man to launch a grenade right next to the car you previously identified as a vbied, which I figured would just level the compound and your soldiers. Or is it that just the scale of explosives is not enough to set off a secondary explosion? Just looking for some thought process on this. Keep in mind, I’m used to games like call of duty where you just dump bullets into a car for long enough and it blows up. Edit- finishing the video, my question was partially answered with “video game physics”.
Nah man. In a real raid you'd obviously take greater care not to trigger any secondary detonation. But this is just a game, so why not use every asset available to win, right? All about dem triple stars bro ⭐⭐⭐

-pretty sure the items in the mission do not explode/react explosively
-Grenadiers can be used to quickly clear windows of glass and curtains; don't think they can blast corrugated sheeting you see on some levels though. They also can't blow through the triple paneled wood "doors"
-AFAIK even smacking the gas tanks with a GL does not set them off
-Personally, I barely use Grenadiers as I find that I'd prefer another assaulter since their choice of rifles tends to make them more versatile compared to having a grenade launcher.
Entry:
-I've found that the most comfortable method for this mission is to push in aggressively with 4 assaulters; once clear, have a Machine gunner and a marksman take overwatch at the first/yellow car.
"A" building(building to the bottom left of view, to the direct right of team as they enter):
-4 assaulters then breach down into the first building; this eliminates the danger of them climbing through the window. Next, hold security on the door to the big room with a pair, second pair clears rest of building. Lastly, simultaneous breach of big room from 2 different doors.
-After building is secured, second pair of machine gunner/marksman comes in to set up on the TV table.
Courtyard:
-Blow wood paneling/garage doors on "A" building, push out Locked door with assaulters with overwatch from both teams of machine gunner/marksman.
-one assaulter watches the door to "B" building,
-prepare charge on wood paneling/garage doors on "B" building, assaulters standing either side to allow clear line of fire for TV table team.
"B" building(building to top right of view, across courtyard from team as they enter):
-Blow wood paneling/garage doors on "B" building, push in with assaulters and clear building.

My strat was the default setup, put assault+mark to pull long on the cars, blew a hole on the top and middle room from spawn, full view of everything, then just send them through the top window, clear the rest and another wall charge on second building garage.
2:42 and then they'll have someone shouting at Abu Hajar 😂😂
This is amazing, when I play this game I just go balls to the wall send in everyone like the FBI meme and yeet all the frags
are there any books that talk about the same stuff you illustrate in gameplay? Nothing necessarily in depth, more easily accessible.
you should show the full operation after you're done explaining it
Not possible yet unfortunately
@@ControlledPairsGaming aight, maybe once they implement that feature. would've been pretty cool too to see your tactics in one smooth flow.
@@succiboi4045 Once it's instituted, that's the plan!
@@ControlledPairsGaming That's cool. Keep up the great work!!
CPG makes a video
Marksmen: Am I a joke to you?
On this level lol yes
I like this series! Im curious what will you do with the Kamil Pasa Market level :)
We shall see!
Holy smokes this is some nerd stuff! Very interesting :)
🤓
What a HME
Love your Videos
Keep it up
Home made explosive?
8:50 If someone comes out of the red space in the first room won't they kill the first guy looking the other way before the guy that is holding that doorway can even see him?
It would be close. Dangerous job.
I think I just played a game of hell let loose with you. Weird because I've never heard of your channel before, it was just reccomended.
GG! That was a meat grinder, man.
I kinda disagree with your choice of a dynamic entry through the window as as you've seen it takes a while to push people through a window. you did say it was a dangerous place to be in so i understand why you did it though. i think it would have been safer to push through while having your guys quick pie the entryways so as to cover the team passing through
oh and you can click on the "blow up" icon directly if you didn't know that before
Cant wait for him to try the tougher levels
also idt the vbieds and other explosive things actually explode rn but thats a good idea for the devs maybe
Good feedback! It was super dangerous of course, I tried to mitigate (and did) with a flashbang and a frag grenade before entering, resulting in 2 EKIA prior to entry. It all worked out luckily.
The more I watch these video the more I want this game. But is it worth it for $20??? I was surprised to see it cost so much
I'm like-minded, but if you have a passion for CQB then it's more than worth the money. I finished all the missions in no time, cause I was hooked haha. Co-op feature works great as well!
The editor gives us a lot of replayability!
You also grenaded a massive gas tank a couple of times XD I know it's background but I imagine procedure is pretty clear about that haha
Would love to see you commit to total doctrine runs even if you have to fudge the game itself.
You can wallshot into the first building without opening the gate, I thought that was a good idea as advancing down the alleyway is pretty dangerous and window entry is to be avoided
this getting me ready for getting dk2
I can't beat this is why we fight the machine gunner at the start is very lethal
Can you show us the real time replay of the assaults?
Unfort that feature hasn't yet been added
I put one marksman, one support and two assaults at gates, threw couple of grenades, a smoke and took this position, while three guys were charging wall breachers to all three rooms. Then I left marksman and assault at gates and put two people on each charge. Worked for me tho I'm a zero at tactics xD
lol did you do this stuff irl? Let´s play whit military tactics, amazing stuff
Once it's implemented
@@ControlledPairsGaming Yay *didnt know it wasnt a thing, seems like it should have already been ready with the game!*
Nice man
Thank you!
Nice.
I remember my first time playing this map i just wall charged the room with missile lmao
