I wouldn’t say it’s entirely bad. Menendez kills Woods, but the dude was like 100 at that point so it was going to happen soon anyway, and the way Woods reacted didn’t really give Menendez any amount of satisfaction. Plus Menendez killing himself at the end is good too, since he did it alone without anyone knowing meaning I didn’t martyr him for Cordis Die which would’ve made that movement even worse. Alex Mason is alive too, and they all got a happy reunion (I’m assuming he reunited with David as well). Sure, the cyber attack is set to happen, but the game ends in a vague way and never gets a direct sequel so 🤷♂️ We stopped the bad guys, but a lot of bad things still happened anyway-just like Mason killing JFK at the end of BO1. It’s a bleak victory, and I think that’s fitting of the name Black Ops
@ true but menedez is still a psychopath and not a great person and while he has some good points he still hurt a lot of people just to prove his point which is just wrong mess up in my opinion
@@NickDarkShadow. wasnt going to say this but there is a scene where david reunites with his father in the vault with woods. but because menendez survived, you didnt get it. you would get the reunion cutscene during the credits, where it would cut from the cutscene to the credits repeatedly, during your gameplay it was while menendez was talking to woods. thats why you didnt see it. also i hope you saw the very end credits scene with the music, its obviously just shits and giggles and has nothing to do with story lol
i don't really want to say where it all "went wrong" because you might react to the different endings for YT or re-play them on your own time or what-not, but there are like 5 different endings which is why the game is as good as it is in my opinion. now that you've played arguably the best cod campaign series. the series that's "tied" with it in my eyes and the series many say is better than black ops, is the OG modern warfare series. its very confusing because the original series (CoD 4: Modern Warfare {2007} -> CoD: Modern Warfare 2 {2009} -> CoD: Modern Warfare 3 {2011}) has a whole series of remakes. the first one releasing in 2019, in the remakes they completely change the original story and pretty much ruin the whole series. if i were you i wouldn't touch them. they also remastered (up-to-date graphics, changed nothing to the story) Modern warfare 1 and only remastered the campaign for mw2. if you plan on playing the series you should start with the remastered modern warfare 1 {2016} -> mw2 remastered {2020} then play the original mw3 from 2011. yes its very confusing and sorry for the yap but the black ops series and the mw series are the best stories in gaming in my opinion. nonetheless the series was really fun to watch keep it up man.
