true except germans pushing to urals, or the germans getting to the AA line at all in the ussr, Stalin wouldn’t have given up, and the germans wouldn’t have tigers or leopards, as they wouldn’t have met the soviet t-34 in battle yet. There would probably be a german aligned western europe , but not directly allied. Hitler would definitely dominate northern and eastern europe, but italy would probably split off from hitler and the Nazis as they did not agree with their racial ideas, and form their own block. On top of that (this is getting drawn out) Nazi germany’s economy would collapse shortly after the war, as the german economy was built entirely on war and prolonging of paying of loans. The cold war would be short lived.

      @Blackmage4001 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Problem is, German leadership simply did not have the mindset to organize large-scale scientific research usefully. Nazis are remembered as organizational masterminds, but the fact is they were mostly a mob of backstabbing mini-tyrants who spent most of their time fighting each other for political power and scheming for more loot.
They also lacked the key group of scientists necessary to figure out that an atomic bomb was actually feasible. Mostly because they drove them all out in the 1930s! USA/UK had over a dozen Nobel-quality people working together. Germany had Werner Heisenberg, working basically alone, and who didn't really believe it was possible anyway.
They also couldn't afford the industrial resources. People will point to the rockets and jets to argue against me, but the Manhattan project was about 2 orders of magnitude greater effort.
Consider that the gaseous diffusion plant at Oak Ridge built in 1944 was the largest building in the world and it didn't significantly add to the bomb effort! The Y-12 plant that did most of the uranium separation was filled with enormous magnets, whose construction would have required so much copper for wire that it would have impacted the production of artillery shells... so instead they melted down the entire US silver reserve and turned it into magnet wire!!!
The most realistic atomic weapons program for Germany would probably have been a heavy water reactor producing radiological weapons. But losing the heavy water plant in Norway wasn't actually much of a setback. (a) the "big shipment" that was sabotaged had something like 1/10th the D2O needed to start up a reactor. (b) that plant wasn't anywhere near the level of industrial cost of the Oak Ridge plants. Germany could have built a replacement somewhere more secure. They just didn't see the point given that it was just one of a dozen pie-in-the-sky projects being half-heartedly funded by various competing bureaucracies. Not to mention their lack of access to high-quality uranium ore. The only good source was Shinkolobwe in the Belgian Congo, and the Belgians managed to transfer all the processed ore to the USA in 1940.

Yeah my biggest problem with this video other than his suggested way for Germany to win the War was his portrayal of this alternate Cold War. It seemed like he didn’t have a firm understanding of the Geopolitics of Indochina and Latin America that made the Cold War what it was between the USSR and USA. Since things like the Vietnam War didn’t happen the cultural impact in the US would be huge, civil rights movement might have been delayed or did not happen altogether, no hippie culture and revolution in music, certainly more than just the lack of a few Vietnam war movies. He also failed to realise that the “communist” revolutions such as the one in Cuba was nationalist in nature as opposed to really being communist so they would have just gone to a different backer like fascist germany to achieve their goals and Germany would be happy to oblige because that’s how you wage a Cold War. Also I have no idea why he thinks China would be split into two, no matter how much money you give to generalissimo cash by cheque nothing short of all out total military intervention by the US in China would have saved his ass.(pretty sure that was the opinion of General Marshal). Could also have focused on the new fascist satellite states like France, cause it seems like he forgot about Free France completely and the numerous European monarchs that would have been displaced.

This is one of the more, if not most, realistic Axis-Victory scenarios. It isn't too far fetched and the details from Women's rights to music. Speaking of, Music related sub-cultures would probably boom in countries like Germany, Sweden, the UK, Ireland etcetera. While they would most likely be punished and condemned heavily, Sub-Cultures, fashion and genres like Punk would probably either be much more popular and larger than they were IOT or non-existent because of the presumed notion that things like anti authoritarianism, Femenism, Progressivism, Socialism and all related/similar ideological standpoints would be heavily censored and kept out of the minds of the people. With such an Authoritarian regime all throughout Europe, it's not hard to imagine that nothing but Nazism and other related ideologies and subjects are the only ones taught in schools and from a young age, with other ideas and standpoints being prohibited from entering the Regime, though there is always someone who comes up with these ideas in the end, so it's not entirely implausible to say rebellious Sub-cultures and genres would exist, so much more than than our timeline.

One part I found unrealistic is both the use of multiple atomic bombs on Japan plus an invasion of the mainland. His scenarios for post war may seem more realistic, but his alt history for how they won is pure fantasy. He basically pretends American lend lease was never a thing. Which was largely the reason WHY Hitler declared war on the US after Pearl Harbor.
The Russians seemed all but defeated. The Americans would be wrapped up in a war with Japan and they would now be free to attack US shipping of war materials to Britain and Russia. He literally says in the video "Germany doesn't declare war on the US because thats absurd". It was not an absurd thing to do strategically in the moment. Its only absurd in hindsight, because we know the Russians turned it around before an American soldier ever even engaged a German and the US managed to go from a 3rd rate military power to a Superpower capable of largely fighting the Pacific war on it's own while still field almost 2 million troops in Europe by the end of the war.

I found the Nuclear warheads section interesting, I think you haven't really considered that one fully. Britain actually had a really advanced nuclear programme prior to the US joining the war and while Ernest Rutherford was from New Zealand he worked all his adult life in the UK. Its also worth thinking of what happened in Germany with their wonder weapons, had the UK been isolated a wonder weapon would have been given much higher priority and even if it hadn't they wouldn't have merged the research in the US to be sure.
Also interesting that you didn't want to touch Lehi with a bargepole.... while suggesting Iran and Iraq would be in full revolt. Also agree with other comments about Finland, I often ponder had the war ended with an Axis victory I'm sure a great deal more significance would have been placed into Finland's wartime contribution to the axis war effort, which following the start of the Cold War has been pretty much ignored.

Very good! Usually these types of videos in particular get the negitive parts of the German governments policies wrong and show such negitives in a cartoonish-propagandistic over the type usual nazi mustache twirling kind of way but this shows the negitives in a realistic, correct manner, although I'd say after the war, presuming that the French State (pro-Axis government) retains control of Madagascar then any remaining Jews in Europe would've been mass deported to Madagascar.
In our own timeline there really was initially an arrangement between Palestine and Germany to move all the Jews and their possessions to Palestine however another plan later on created by Heinrich Himmler to mass deport all Jews to Madagascar but the Allies occupied Magagascar so that plan couldn't come about in our own set of events.
On a separate note, when it comes to the German territories of the former Soviet Union, people stereotypically think that the Germans were going to set up a bunch of administrations/colonies under either/mix of autonomous or direct rule from Germany however in my opinion those Reich 'commissariats' were just temporary war time occupational administrations that upon a formal peace treaty with the Soviet Union I think would've just granted the Baltics, Belarussians, Ukrainians and more interestingly the Russians independence with pro-Axis governments installed.
In such a timeline there would've been a West/East Russia instead of our own West/East Germany in our timeline.
I do also find it very accurate yet highly entertaining that in an Axis Victory timeline of the idea that in Europe when presumably in the 1990s to the early 2000s computer games become start becoming popularlised that there would be games were you play as the heroic, good guy Axis powers defeating the evil Allied powers and their evil schems for world domination.
One last thing of note, particularly by the time of 1942-1944 Adolf Hitler/Axis Powers began to start understanding the great war as not just purely a simple war between the United Kingdom and Germany but a war for the future of Europe as Adolf Hitler did make the odd mention of wanting to start some type of pan-European confederacy of sorts, basically like a Axis version of the European Union.
I think similar to our own timeline that in the 1950's there would've been efforts to create the basic structural and economic pan-European frame work that sometime between the 1960s-1990s would've developed into a Europan Confederation (or some variety of a nationalist Pan-European Country) which would allow for Adolf Hitler's idea of the 3 meter train track idea to be implemented all across Europe.

There is no exaggerated narrative, no exaggerated dystopian world like in the TV series The Man in the High Castle.

It’s a moot point. Hitler attacked the Soviets because he knew they were going to attack them soon. The war in the East would have happened either way. Germany lacked the resources for a long war of attrition. That’s why the kesselschlacht was the preferred way to wage war. The Air Force was designed to be tactical, a fatal flaw. Strategic bombers were off the table by 1936, just as the Flying Fortress and Lancaster were being envisioned. The Germans never mastered the idea of the assembly line. They lost the war in the factory as much as in the battlefield. This concept has been accepted since we interrogated the survivors of the high command.

I wouldn't have had a life if the Axis had won. My grandfather was likely KIA during the invasion of the Japanese Mainland. He just missed WW2 by a year (he turned 17 the day we dropped the Bomb), but still got to experience the horrors of war in Korea. So considering he was drafted anyway just a few years after WW2, yeah, he probably would have been in the initial invasion of Japan in your scenario.

    • @twelvewingproductions7508

That's actually the one aspect I found fault with. I fail to see anything mentioned that would have affected how long it took us to develop the atomic bomb. With the advantage of not having to fight a two front war... the Pacific war would have been over much quicker and they likely would have delayed the invasion of Japan for exactly the same reason they did. To complete our nuclear bomb and give that a go at softening them up... in 1945. I see no logical reason to think this would have taken an extra two years.
This also means a nuclear armed America a full two years before what this timeline outlines and perhaps over a decade before Germany's first bomb given that they had alienated their top scientists... many of them Jewish.
