I'm Down to buy. My concern is hearing other people talk about the toxicity of the resin before is cured. Both Dermal and inhaling or breathing next to the resin seems to be a concern. What's your take. I used to work Pest Control so I'm curious of what the long term risks of using this type of resin are.
Perhaps one day, when the process will be faster, you will no longer purchase a model kit on a box, you will just have to pay for the file online and print it by yourself. Lots of perspectives in sight. Nice tests. Congratulations.
Nice looking parts. Thanks for sharing
Nice to see your exploring other options
Glad to see you finally trying it!
Really glad to see that these resin printers can do intricate detailed parts I wanted to do some custom wheels for a 1/25 restomod Firebird
I have an Anycubic Photon S, the detail that comes out of that machine is absolutely astounding, I also have Solidworks 2020 so designing and making parts is really fun.
Just bought my first 3D printer (Elegoo Mars 2 Mono) which should be here by the end of the week. Looking forward to printing my own wheels and other detail parts for future builds. Here's hoping mine come out as nice as those TE37s, they looked really good.
Excelente impresora 3D, saludos desde Venezuela
Great video
Great video.,
THAT"S WHAT I NEED‼️🤩😍
Wow, you’ll going to make these Bodykits, hoods, Spoilers and wheels.
Very interesting video !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice I would like to see the wheel finish and mounted
Nice super 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😉
Welcome to the resin 3D printing party!
Hello
Sameer here from india .. I love watching all your videos. I also want to start a TH-cam channel for micro models like you. In your opinion, where and how to start
അടിപൊളി
what do you type in thingverse search to find only scaled files for model making
Resin printers are truly beautiful. They require a lot of attention tho, resin isn't a very friendly material to work with.
And you should try to learn 3d modelling, you'd be able to print any car parts (or even car itself) you want :D
What are the files your using to print yours
Jan. 16, 2021---Thanks for the video. Think it was 5 years ago, maybe just beyond that, when I saw the potential of 3D printers for modelers. On a modeling website, a guy created the file needed to make a 1/32nd scale V-1 and this was using one of those string printers. And right off the bat, people were basically shouting take my money, take my money, I want one. The problem I have with those printers is the "lines" that show as the string builds up into whatever.
Plan on buying a resin 3D printer this year and have been busy downloading every free 3D file I can use for my latest modeling interest: 1/35 scale zombie/apocalypse dioramas. Thing is, I want mine to be as realistic as possible, NO Mad Max look. Thing is, there's very few model kits available of stuff I want and while there's resin things available, they are NOT cheap. How about modern day people, fire hydrants, mail boxes, AC units, fans, weapons like bows, axes/hatchets, shop tools such as cherry pickers, wrenches, etc. Which is why I have about 2K worth of files of things I plan on printing.
At 67, ALL of this stuff is new to me, but I want to learn CAD so I can make MODERN day people/zombies. In the mean time, been busy converting military figures into civilians/zombies. There are some car buffs in the local modeling club and sure they'd be interested in having tool boxes, rims, tires, cherry pickers, etc. for their dioramas in 1/25 and 1/25 scales.
Did you get the file for the wheel @5:11 from thingyverse also?
Also how did you make the scale smaller?
Yes. It was on thingiverse back then.
You can scale parts down or up in the slicer
I just started a new project and well I really didn't like some of the factory designed parts. So a search online and found nothing. You solved my problem..thank you. Yet it is still out of my budget for 8 custom parts. I would like to find someone who can do 3d printing for me can anyone help. Oh and I have been following you for sometime and have applied some of your tips. Thank you again. :)
shapeways
As upposed to the filament style printer, this type you don't get the rough surface correct?
Correct
Basically, the steps are so small, you won't really notice them (unless you know what to look for) and since it's not fully cured when it leaves the printer and needs those extra steps gravity will smooth out those tiny steps even more.
Where can I get the files for the wheels?
Have you tried painting those resin 3D parts? Do they need a special primer and stuff?
Not yet, but since it is resin, i think it should be the same as other resin parts, i will use Tamiya grey primer
UV-curing resin can be treated the same way you'd treat poured resin kit parts. Light sanding and plastic adhesion primer can help, but aren't a must-have (depends on the circumstances like all resin parts).
I was wondering about wheels and rims...there's a lot of 1/24th scale rims on the market so I was wondering as far as fitting goes, how much difference will it make if I put 1/24th scale on a 1/25th scale model?
not much
@@TheScalemodelingChannel cool, thanks for the response!
can you make 3d figures from a 2d image there??
Awsome is it as easy to set up even if im not very tec savvy
I’m not tech savvy. And i got it to work.
@@TheScalemodelingChannel iv a idea like im just not sure of it u know weather im ruining it or what i am honestly only going to try it after months sitting there tomorrow hopefully i do it your printing is amazing awsome work mate. Hey i was wondering if u could help me with what size or demnsios would be right to print 18" 124TH scale resin wheels what sizes i save into it when slicing any help or advice be very much appreciated., 👍 thank you in advance..
Super cool! Taking it to a whole different level! Do you take wheel requests for purchase? I have cash!!!
www.uscp.ua.com can help you out
One of my other hobbies is model trains, and I wonder if I could 3D print detail parts in 1/160 scale...
Probably
you can print things with details as small as 0,3 mm
I’m thinking about getting into 3D Printing. Are the files on Thingaverse free or do the prices vary. The files I’ve looked at don’t show any prices. I have no experience with resin printing and so am trying to get more educated on it especially the economics of it all. Thanks.
If you don’t see a price they are free
could you 3d print a 1/25 scale car body to with the 3d printer?
In multiple sections. I think it should be possible
@@TheScalemodelingChannel could u be able to print out 1/24 scale upper a arms and lower a arms if could lmk cuz wanna learn :)))
What 3D printer do you recommend for 1/64 scale farm and truck toys?
One with a very good quality screen. 4 or 8 k atleast. Maybe a the newest Mars
Where did you get these parts at? I have a printer and finding parts has been a challenge maybe a video featuring good places to look would be helpful?
0:08
The video is very good. A question is that a 3d printing machine that makes tires and other things or not? what is the function?
if you have a 3d file, you can print pretty much anything you want.
@@TheScalemodelingChannel ok thank you, very much, for the next week you continue with your ford gt lemans project what happened that you did not upload more video about that?
it is not finished. that happend.
@@TheScalemodelingChannel ok but need to finish it or not? I just wanted to ask you if for the next video you upload are you going to upload a video of the ford gt that you need to finish it or of another car that you build? is it surprise?
@@ibhobbyscalemodeler2208 i need to finish it, and the next video will be on the GT, yes.
Do you do custom parts for customers
No i don’t. I’m not capable of 3d designing stuff
what if i downloaded a file at 1/24 but i want to change it to 1/25? or vise versa or the parts 1/10 and i want it at the smaller scale..?
You can scale them up or down to the size you want in the slicing software
@@TheScalemodelingChannel thanks i figured it out
I maybe missed it, but where can I find the STL file?
Thingiverse.com
so, using filament will not get you a detailed result?
Not as detailed as resin
How good can be some 3D printed 1/43 rims ??
Pretty good
@@TheScalemodelingChannel
Awesome
I have some 1/43 diecasts for restoration (some of them for converting them to a race car)
Does this thing scan parts?
No
I am fellype Gabriel i am brasiiiillll 🙂
Alternatively, if you want these parts but don't have a printer, myself and quite a few others sell 3D printed parts. I sell 1/64 wheels and parts, you can find me on Instagram at turbosheep164customs.
Don’t forget to wear gloves !
could you please help no one answer my question are you willing to help me
i have anycubic photon s is cheaper and better like elegoo mars
You DO NOT have to Relevel your build plate after each print.
