I come from several Indigenous cultures that faced and still face persecution and great hardships and it's ok to share Art/music imho but, everyone should be given the credit due to them.
When Alexandro sings, the breaks in his voice at the end of his notes sound like lamenting cries. And the drums totally compound that feeling of visceral sadness. You don't need lyrics to know the mood of this performance, it completely transcends words. Now I'm no member of any indigenous tribe (my only connection and knowledge of any tribe is through one of my teachers who is Navajo) but this performance hits me in such a primal and emotional way that I cant help but tear up. Its just pure lamenting beauty.

I heard this song a several years ago sung among his fellow tribesman and now I hear this song again with accompanying drums. This song vibrates the inner fibers of the soul and resonates the body to natural rhythms that connect man to nature! There is more to this song than it meets the eye! Our people too have similar songs of our ancient fore-fathers that most of the songs accompanied with playing of short & long bamboo flutes of about 12 foot to about 20 foot or more and its very moving when few or several old folks play in harmony! I heard this when I was on school break some 60 years ago. And all of our old folks have passed on and the younger generation have not learnt all the songs from them! Only a few songs. I hope and pray that the "Last of the Mohicans" may pass some of his songs and rhythms to his younger generations! We must not let these songs go silence please! I hope one day I may see and hear the "Last of the Mohicans" live! Its on my bucket list! Greetings from Kambaramba villages, Sepik River, Papua New Guinea.

It’s the same with the New Zealand Maori people and they are bringing back their culture and their language with the help of the Government. Hold on to your culture and your language and most important is to teach your children to be proud of their heritage and teach them about their Whakapapa or their ancestors on both their Mother and their Fathers sides so they know where they belong. Kia Kaha be strong, stand tall. lol
Hi there Brendan I am from New Zealand and although I am not a New Zealand Maori I was married to one so I know that what has happened to your people also happened to the Maori people but they have been fighting for their land and many Iwi (tribes) have either had ancestral land restored to them or have received millions of dollars in compensation for land that was confiscated by the British Crown when New Zealand was first colonised by the British. Our Government has helped greatly to encourage Te Reo the Maori language and their culture to be taught in schools. I hope it is the same for the Hawaiian people. It is so important for the young people to know where they belong and to know their culture and their language also so it doesn’t become lost. Kia Kaha Brendan, we are one.

This is an amazing show of pure Humanity working together. Two great indigenous cultures in sync with each other taking us all back to the spiritual origins.
@@atmarampanduranga6719 That is so true. If you look at the Australian Aboriginals alone ... they lived here in Australia for over 40,000 years and the soil was rich, the rivers flowed with clean water, and our air was fresh. Now, we didn't listen or learn from them and in less than 200 YEARS we have turned forests into deserts, our rivers are now so polluted that you are at risk swimming in them, and our air is carbon ridden. @@seanjoelscott ... our largest capital is SYDNEY, not Melbourne! Any Aussie knows that (your first learnt fact)! Also, check out the River Murray that flows across 3 states. Look at what the 50+% of land clearing has done ... drastically reduced the Australian native forests by over 50%. The habitat loss via this vegetation clearing has driven huge population declines and species extinctions. There were over 350 Indigenous Cultures in Australia when first colonised ... today there are 140 with ONLY 13 of them NOT endangered. We are now starting to understand Aboriginal Australian technologies, and it is amazing that we did not pursue them for if we had, we could have kept our country more in tune with Nature, rather than investing in Billions of Dollars combatting Nature through futile attempt in trying to control Nature, or futile attempts in repairing built infrastructures meant to stop Nature at work.

So not to be a killjoy this music was really a Scottish jig and nothing at all to do with tribal Indians in America . Well said
When Alexandro sings, the breaks in his voice at the end of his notes sound like lamenting cries.

Tears in eyes, echo of rest in heart ___ the eternal vibes of humanity... Love it again and again.

Don’t give up your language, Your cultures, Your belief and you won’t vanish.
Never lose sight of your destination and never forget where you came from. We were once all tribal.

As an Aussie, it saddens me what we have done to the indigenous cultures of the world. Instead of learning from them, we forced our own values onto them. This is an amazing show of pure Humanity working together. Two great indigenous cultures in sync with each other taking us all back to the spiritual origins.
If that happened climate change would not be the biggest issue.
Incredible, we'll be extremely lucky to last 1,000 years ... let alone another 40,000 years.

@@dranzacspartan8002 your off your tree bloke. Do we have alot to learn? yes. Is the country stuffed, NO! there are sections of algae blooms and some rivers polluted by pioneering heavy industry and agriculture but the vast majority of the creeks, rivers, lakes, dams in Australia are absolutely fine to swim in as long as your happy to share them with the local bull sharks and crocodiles. The air quality of our largest capital Melbourne, is magnitudes better than that of comparable sized capitals on other continents.

For those putting the thumbs down have no taste in music, never appreciate any type or no ears for the music, this is the best I have heard mixed with other culture..amazing..
I totally agree...so much passion and power behind this song
I did not give a thumbs down but you said it is the best YOU have ever heard. You have no say in what people do and do not like and to think otherwise is ridiculous.
Hehehehe, u are right, first time i cried, he looks like my brother who pass away from heart attack...
Thanks for your response

Bien dicen , nadie es profeta en su tierra . cómo es posible que éste tremendo artista sea muy poco conocido en PERÚ 🇵🇪
Esto de qué parte de America es? Y además, estos son mismos chamanes? Me gustaría saber, gracias! Siento una gran conexión, soy de Colombia y ley en un comentario que los verdaderos chamanes estaban en Colombia en una región, no sé si será cierto...
Son nativos de norte américa los mohicanos
I did cry to this because this just isn’t no ordinary musical piece so I’m glad the lady and the gentleman beat those drums 🪘 as hard as they could …when he was blowing that flute 🪈 the natural wind from earth was coming out & through that musical pipe so ✨majestic✨
This is Beautiful. 😢😢😢 may the world have peace!
Absolutely fabulous ❤️ I feel many different emotions when I listen to this music, and I have nothing but great admiration and respect for Alexandro and the musicians who accompany him ❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧
I like it so much. When i hear this kind of music, with drums and flutes, makes me feel like i'm dancing with the mother nature and the universe. Sometimes its dificult to explain it... Well done...
This is the cohesiveness we need in the world today!!! Thank you for sharing such beautiful music from different cultures coming together! We need more of this! God touches us all with this!
Круто! Молодцы! Индейцы, не забывайте свою многовековую культуру! Передавайте ее из поколения в поколение!
This song and his flute always take me to jungle and it's culture... Oh I wish I was born in that era.. Freshness and calmness everywhere... And this flute... 😍😍😍😍
Jungle?
This song was written by a Scotsman name Dougie Maclean and it is rooted in Celtic folk music actually a Jig other then being the major song in the movie it has nothing to do with Native Americans .It is a powerful song and can take you wherever it does if it happens to be the jungle enjoy.
So not to be a killjoy this music was really a Scottish jig and nothing at all to do with tribal Indians in America . But the worst part of it is Last of the Mohicans is loosely based on the Fort William Henry massacre were English soldiers along with women and children were butchered and scalped unarmed by Indians loyal to the French . Still feel lifted ?? Remember music is a real life time machine it can take you back to a time happy or sad within the first few bars .
