My wife is in hospital for 2 weeks now ,I am now 55 and we have been together since I was 18 years old ,listening to this song daily as my comfort song knowing he will not fail me and she will make a full recovery.

I have watched this about 100 times. Best performance by ANY school, what more . .. a symphony orchestra. Totally brilliant. It doesn't matter if half of the musicians are Asians. This is good as it demonstrated and cultivate camaraderie, harmony, goodwill, unity, joy and peace amongst them. And hopefully, other schools in USA will emulate this so that racism is eradicated.
Only a few people can watch and listen to the live orchestra, to know-how. powerful and beautiful music is. Music is a gift from God that he gave to us.

But the time is soon coming when those buried truths will come rising back . So very inspirational . It hits at the very core of our souls . The Gael was written by Scottish singer songwriter Dougie MacLean for his 1990 album called The Search.
The Gael was adapted and included in the 1992 film the Last of the Mohicans.
Is the Gael only the solo violin part? I watched Dougie MacLean play the Gael on his violin, and that was all that he played. Did Trevor Jones add the other music? It's confusing.
When you realize it's high school students about halfway through the song... hopefully they're all doing well 7 years later and living their dreams.

While I watch this demonstration of near perfection some years after this performance, I am thinking about most of these students moving on to college and beyond hoping that many further their outstanding talents and interest in music. But like most of us who have passed thru these years, I know that they will never forget these outstanding performances and skills that they will take with them throughout life. Congrats to the instructors who were lucky enough to have a hand in such excellence and all under one roof. Just amazing...really. Makes me proud to have had the opportunity to even had heard them. These efforts in our fast moving world should never be relinquished for lack of funds or politics. All you have to do is listen..... Never ever!

@@53toddk Actually no. I only played a flute, and that was in High School decades ago. But like with other things, you see & hear people who are really good and can recognize it. Unless there were quite a few problems with the tech (mike, encoding, ..., my speakers) this performance is not as good as what I heard live when in school and afterwards.
While I always enjoy classic music and encourage it, there is no need to gush when the performance is mediocre. You actually encourage people to do less than they can, so I call you, Todd Kort, a bad person with your libtard attitude.
