I have never worked as hard in any yoga class as I am now, working my way through the foundations of yoga series. It just shows how important it is to take the time to make sure that poses are done properly and all the necessary muscles are engaged. Wow! It is hard work. My body is soooo tight. Thank you Adriene for your gift to us!
SMILIN' & ENJOYING.........Adriene, thanks again for keeping it real and connecting to the masses, while making each of us feel as though we're having a one on one yoga practice with you!
I just did the Wind Relieving Pose, Warrior 3 and Gate Pose. They were all amazing. Three weeks left and then I've finished the whole 'Foundations' playlist and can start doing the beginners yoga sequences. Thank you so much +yogawithadriene
I was watching the older foundations videos and there has been quite a transformation in your presenting style. Always some humour, but there's more of an ease and openness of your personality.
After doing gentle morning, energizing morning and bedtime yoga with you for 4 months regularly, I'm amazed how fast I regained my strength and flexibility. Big thank you, Adriene!
If I could like this video more than once, I would. I usually do this pose when my arms/wrists aren't up to side plank pose without putting a knee down. I generally try to keep my foot in line with my body to work my balance, but turning it out got to some nooks and crannies that needed getting to, as well as then stretching to the counter side each time. Thank you!
Sooo glad you're on YT sharing your humor and joie de vivre. It makes a huge difference - yoga instructors can be pretty dang dry and serious. Thanks :}
Thought I'd give this yoga thing a try and all I can say is that I now love it! Your videos are awesome, thanks for sharing your techniques and humour, keep up the great work :)
As if I couldn't love you more. I am utilizing your foundations videos as I prepare for my practical Hatha Yoga exam this coming Monday, and I found myself singing along with your Annie Lennox lyrics. You make my heart smile. I may have been getting my certificate from another Yoga school, but all I know I have truly learned from you. Your guidance has provided me with the confidence to find who I truly am and who I wish to become. Much love to you Adriene (and team 😉)
I've caught a horrible flu and while recovering, thought i would get off my bed and do some inside fitness/yoga since its raining outside.... this is amazing and I think i'll have to do it daily! feeling better already.. Thanks so much!!
Something I think would be popular would be a yoga/sanskrit vocabulary episode Plus it would give you a chance to flex those theatrical muscles with like a language arts teacher persona
I was doing great until 11:13 when you talked about smearing butter over your body with a funny accent and then I laughed so hard I fell out of the pose!
Absolutely! It releases, relaxes, realigns, reignites, recycles your energy! Get into a good 4 days a week for 3 months practice to feel the boost! It will begin to see better sleep increase first.
I find that it is difficult for me to press into the outer edge of the foot on this one. Do you have any tips for that? Thanks Adriene for all your wonderful videos!
I definitely noticed a lot of lift in my ribs and that I was holding my core taller than normal. I had a bit of soreness in my knees. Next time I'll be sure to have a blanket to pad my mat.
Hey. I am a teen that is slowly getting in to yoga. Thank you so much for inspiring me and helping me develop a healthier life style. Is it possible to get a special video; yoga for pre teens/ teens? Thanks a lot x
You could just be smearing sun cream ;) just saying! Will try this later as I have torn my Quadratus Lomborum and ligaments connecting my lumbar spine on the left... in recovery now but very stiff. Just trying to find gentle exercises to target my back from different angles... like the look of the little hover, need to regain some core strength :)
Hi Adriene, I can't remember if it was in a video or a response you posted in the comments, but a while ago you briefly mentioned how much your body has changed since starting yoga. Can you talk a little about that?
Any techniques that can strengthen the abs without being too hard on them? I had surgery 6 months ago that involved a large incision across my upper abs... ouch! I know. Thanks!
Adriene! My home practice life saver! I'm a new yogi and although I already have a mat I wanted to know what website or store you advise to get the best yoga gear? Towels, mats, bags that're reasonably priced? Thank you!!! :)
How can I keep up my flexibility? I've done your hip opening video among others and got great results only they don't last. To stay flexible do I have to keep doing it everyday or is there another way because id like to get further in my practice but this seems to hold me back. any suggestions?
My sides feel great :) Question, however- my knees tend to hyper extend and I found the pressure on them painful when my heel was pointing up. Any variations you would suggest? Could I keep my weight on the outer edges of the foot rather than the heel? Thanks!
Be me, a man, joyfully commando in my sweats (home practice am I right?), listening intently to your every word, forgetting I'm not a woman. "..and we're gonna give our inner thigh a little slap!", she says. Swiftly slap myself, but catch the dangly bits and my high pitch scream gives the cat a heart attack. Guess I still need to work on my body awareness a little hahaha

Love the yoga classes! My kids and I have been doing them every morning with you! You are our YOGA! Thanks again for making this so accessible.

Strained my ribs somehow. An article recommended this pose and heat. Love to hear more suggestions, although I know you're busy.
Got my shake on in this pose! Really feeling those muscles come to life in this pose! Thank you!
Yes the Eurythimics! Thanks for all these foundation videos. Which way should my thumbs be pointing when my hands are on the floor under my shoulders?
Love, love, LOVE your humor!! 3

Something I think would be popular would be a yoga/sanskrit vocabulary episode
Plus it would give you a chance to flex those theatrical muscles with like a language arts teacher persona
I guess Im quite off topic but does anybody know of a good site to watch new movies online?

love your foundations of yoga!!!
Does practicing Yoga give you more energy?
Absolutely! It releases, relaxes, realigns, reignites, recycles your energy! Get into a good 4 days a week for 3 months practice to feel the boost! It will begin to see better sleep increase first.
yeah and you can forget to eat as you have so much energy😱😱😱
I find that it is difficult for me to press into the outer edge of the foot on this one. Do you have any tips for that? Thanks Adriene for all your wonderful videos!
thank for doing what you're doin adrienne! wondering when the reboot and empower courses will be re-available on your website?
I definitely noticed a lot of lift in my ribs and that I was holding my core taller than normal. I had a bit of soreness in my knees. Next time I'll be sure to have a blanket to pad my mat.
Awesome. And, yes, pad that knee E! Enjoy your practice :-)
Adriene, could you please do a video on how to do the Anantasana (Sleeping Vishnu) pose???
Great video.
Can the gate pose lead to middle splits?
I just love your mat! Turquoise is my favorite colour and the pattern underneath is stunning. Where did you get it from? :) xxx
Hey. I am a teen that is slowly getting in to yoga. Thank you so much for inspiring me and helping me develop a healthier life style. Is it possible to get a special video; yoga for pre teens/ teens? Thanks a lot x
I love your videos! Do you think someday you could do a video on yoga for tight hips?
Yes! Try the Yoga for Hips under the "Yoga Tips" Playlist! oxo
Thanks!
You could just be smearing sun cream ;) just saying! Will try this later as I have torn my Quadratus Lomborum and ligaments connecting my lumbar spine on the left... in recovery now but very stiff. Hi Adriene, I can't remember if it was in a video or a response you posted in the comments, but a while ago you briefly mentioned how much your body has changed since starting yoga. Can you talk a little about that?
I sure can. I will do this in an upcoming vlog! XOXOOX
Any techniques that can strengthen the abs without being too hard on them? I had surgery 6 months ago that involved a large incision across my upper abs... ouch! I know. Thanks!
I can't do it.I've tried it a lot but I'm just soo confused.omg I want to laugh to myself!
Grazie Adriene!
Adriene! My home practice life saver! I'm a new yogi and although I already have a mat I wanted to know what website or store you advise to get the best yoga gear? Towels, mats, bags that're reasonably priced? Thank you!!! :)
Hi there! I am collaborating to make the BEST mat! Stay tuned! More info on that coming soon! xoox
Thank you Adriene
How can I keep up my flexibility? I've done your hip opening video among others and got great results only they don't last. To stay flexible do I have to keep doing it everyday or is there another way because id like to get further in my practice but this seems to hold me back. any suggestions?
best way is to do it every day as long as your body is able to!
My knees hurt a lot, even double siding my mat... Any suggestions? I had to stop the poses before as I could not ignore the pain...
yeaaaah, Annie!
My sides feel great :) Question, however- my knees tend to hyper extend and I found the pressure on them painful when my heel was pointing up. Any variations you would suggest? Could I keep my weight on the outer edges of the foot rather than the heel? Thanks!
You can use a block under your right foot and heel on the floor.
❤❤
Standing on my full foot on the outstretched leg is so hard for me
Be me, a man, joyfully commando in my sweats (home practice am I right?), listening intently to your every word, forgetting I'm not a woman. "..and we're gonna give our inner thigh a little slap!", she says. Swiftly slap myself, but catch the dangly bits and my high pitch scream gives the cat a heart attack. thats really hurt, i got cramps in both my legs and bottocks muscles. Thank you but that was hard. Ouch.
I always greatly enjoy your sense of humor, but I must admit, "spread yo butter" made me laugh harder than usual. :-D
Hahha, oh lawd! ;-)
❤❤❤❤❤🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
This was surprisingly hard
What took me so long to find you???
I love youuuuuuu
Hard to follow as mirroring you we got backwards first so can't see what you're doing
this is not how Hatha yoga teach Gate pose. u seem to be doing it the wrong way.one needs to bend towards the leg that is extended sideways
You are a nut but so am I. Smearing my ribs with peanutbutter, yum. XD
cutie
U r funny 💋💋
