woohoo, today I tried Camel pose, it felt a little painful and I m having back pain as I am not used to of this pose, but the way you were teaching us it is amazing. I am very grateful to you that I am doing YWA on daily basis, because of you now I am waking up early just for YOGA which was really hard for me earlier and it is been three and half month of continuing YOGA with Adriene :) Thankyou :))

I know you don't usually use props in your videos, just so people don't feel like they have to buy them, but I am so grateful when you use the blocks and straps. It really helps me to feel empowered and keeps me from getting discouraged.

Thank you *so much* for this one, Adriene! I did it this evening and realised that the reason I've hated camel pose all this time (I used to struggle to breathe in it) is because I was doing it wrong. Thank you for taking me through how to do it properly and painlessly!

Okay, first (much needed, though my Ego hates to admit it) visit to the Foundations playlist, and I already appreciate the extra in-depth instruction for correct alignment. I knoow I'm getting into Camel correctly, now- my low back had 0 strain and I was shaking like a tiny purse dog on it's first trip outside. I could always feel that I was dumping my weight into my low back just to be like 'Oh, I'm doing Camel pose, I'm awesome (not that I disagree with the awesome part, necessarily),' but I wasn't lifting the pelvic floor or engaging my thighs or core, and I think that is where I could have accrued an injury. Thank you so much, Adriene, for having these videos available! It only took me 8 years to finally revisit some of my foundations ;) but I'm so appreciative to have access to this very helpful and useful information. You're the best! 😘 Namaste. 🙏

Inversions always intimidate me. I feel barely competent the right way around, inversions are so challenging! But today I felt so supported - especially in the last variation, I've never gone deeper in camel. Thanks, Adriene

Wow! I almost skipped this one because I thought it was going to be hard but then heard a voice telling me that every time I resisted something it turned out to be what I needed! So, needless to say I did it and found I could do it. Not perfect but I did it and felt great! Thank you once again Adriene - you always have my back!

Adriene, I finally said it yesterday, and it felt so right. "You are my guru!" You are! At least, what I would consider a personal guru. It's especially these types of videos. When your honest nature comes out. Telling that roly-poly,"Your chill"; making casual sexual references; expressing your own discomfort. I really relate with you and look up to you. Thank you! Namaste!

I just realized that it's 10 years since I started doing yoga. 5 years of regular practice with a teacher, over 4 years of irregular practice and exploring other ways of moving and a few months (at almost a year) of a very regular, daily yoga practice on my own. And I love the foundations playlist. I come back to it from time to time to check out on the details. To find out if I didn't forget anything important there. To grow my practice. And each time I feel like a novice, what is totally cool for me. I am very happy and grateful for this chanel, for your work, Adriene. Thank you for that, from all my heart. I have checked many similar in the languages I speak, but the way you are making the foundations videos is very unique - they are longer, but there is everything. From warm-up to variations. And when you add the loving atmosphere... Well, I did not found anything even similar in English, German, Russian and Polish internet. I hope this really brings you happiness and that you will continue guiding us on this journey. Thank you once again, Adriene.

Love this pose, thanks for going through slowly. One of the poses that I looked at so desperately at the beginning of my joga journey which was only 3months ago.
Now I am able to touch my feet and I work towards a more deeper stretch. You are just a star Adriene, Namaste 🙏🧡

Phew! Day seven of the August calendar and this one was rough for me. I am still not as bendy as I hoped I would be after doing this since April. I know it’s a marathon, not a sprint and I’ll get there eventually, though. Thanks so much for these, Adriene. You are the rock that holds me together through these trying times. Much love to you and Benji. ❤️

Day 7 of August 2020. Whenever there is a foundations video on the calendar I am never as excited as I usually am because I really do enjoy the practices that push me physically. However, going through this practice today and even doing Camel Post three times practically in a row allowed me to explore and recenter myself on a pose I always thought I was good at from the beginning. Thank yo Adriene! See you tomorrow!

OH! Preparing the body before the pose. What a novel idea. A naturopath (sp) told me to sleep on the floor w/o pillow and start ustrasan yoga. My back had enough of the floor by 3:30 am so I made some coffee, did an enema and started practicing. There were good teachers before you this am, but they did not prepare for the stretch. I will stay with you and let you teach me right how to prepare for each thing I learn to do. Oh, and now I can reach my ankles. I am starting to learn the lift and open and stuff. Or rather, starting to feel myself do them. I just can't hold it very long. But I should get there soon.

And I notice that `i can do al lot but sometimes I am blocked. I am a total nitwit when it comes to crow-pose. My friend just did it as it was nothing special straight the first time. But me no way! So I added your foundations to the daily routine. And today I tried crow pose and camel-pose. Boy they are difficult but I will get there! Thank you for the awesome way you teach! It helped us (both) tru difficult times being lockdown in several stages. (

Hi Adrienne. I am wondering if you have thought about doing a video dedicated to the historical context of yoga. As a white person who benefits in innumerable ways from this tradition and practice, I have been drawn to reflect on the importance of placing my own practice in this context, and would love to hear your perspective as a person with professional training in yoga and what the historical significance of yoga means to you and your practice. Thanks!

I love this series! I using these videos to practice to prepare for flows. I am a beginner, and was wondering if you will be adding any new foundations.

I'm trying to make my way through all your videos in 2017 by doing one or two every day! I never realized that my lower back starts to hurt when i do this pose because my knees are too far apart! That tip definitely helped me! I'm sad the roadshow isn't coming to Chicago this year, because my sister went to the one in 2015 and that's how I found out about your videos! Hopefully in the future you come back to Chicago or I can plan a trip to Austin to come to one of your classes!
