It was nice to see everybody! Joe thinks everyone is his friend now, and I loved seeing Miller and Matilda and the others. They really shine when they know they're safe.
It's wonderful to see the piggies so happy! The world is a brighter place thanks to you, and everyone else who rescues and cares for these Guinea pigs!
Aww, love seeing the fun interactions with Joe and all the foster fails at Val's! Thank you for updating on the rescues for those needing adoption--so adorable, and your fingers are perfectly shaped as carrots, lol! I see you and Valerie had to clarify hording. Thank you Scotty and Valerie for having the ability to care and have the resources for the guinea pigs you have. All your guinea pigs are lucky to have both of you! Obviously, the person has no clue on guinea pig care and what hording is. Your guinea pigs wouldn't have a life if it wasn't for the efforts you have done to save and care and even bring into your homes. Thank you and I will always support you!!
Joe is adorable! I have a girl named Penelope who looks just like him.
The change in Joe is amazing. From that poor dirty, wounded, shivering creature to this happy, sassy, confident boy. Valerie is a true miracle worker.
Nothing in this world brings me more comfort than knowing that, in your own words, something considered a "fail" could still bring so much needed relief to the lives of the one who never knew how bad it could actually get, and it shows in the gratefulness of the ones who need it.. I hope that made sense ❣️..
Joe is the sweetest!❤
I would LOVE A JOE!!! What a SWEET PIGGY HE IS, BLESS HIM!!
Awwww little Joe dirt ❤
It’s as if they know they are being recorded.
I watched Val clean out Joey's cage ! His pop-corns are huge! 😂 He's a Beautiful piggie, so friendly and full of fun 😂😍
So glad they're all happy and content, and they're all Beautiful 😍 🤩
What a character! Joe is adorbs ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I wish I could look after them all ❤they deserve so much love and care.
Hey Scotty Joe was telling you that this is my time to shine not theirs. Wheek Wheel. Joe is so cute I would love a skinny pig but I think my state would be too cold for one so their health wins out. No skinny pig for me😢😢😢😢😢
My fingers are carrots, too... three different piggies tried eating them on the same day 😂
I'm so happy the little ones are safe 🥰
The skinny pig was wheeking because he wanted the attention. They're all pretty cute.
I love to see Joe on your page and Valeries!!! He reminds m of my guy Jupiter SO MUCH!! Looks and personality!! Tho he is far more vocal than my guy!! I love you, Joe!!
Joe is a squeaky social boy! 🥰
Joe: Feed me Scotty! Feed me Scotty! 🤤
Hi Scotty 👋 it's lovely to catch up with Valerie's piggies. Joe has settled in so well. Great video thanks 😊

Aww, they're the loveliest!
Thanks for the great video, Scotty. Little Joe is so adorable. I love the stripe on his face. His wheeks started my piggies wheeking back at him 😂. The piggies in this video are absolutely gorgeous. I love all the various colours. No wonder we love guinea pigs so much 🐹🐹🐹
He was my fav part as well cx
Thanks for the update Scotty! Joe's story is an inspiration to all of us who also want to rescue piggies in the future ❤
Gosh all those piggies were so cute. I love Joe's wheeking at the beginning!
I saw Joe and his joie de vivre at “Southern California”. He's an adorable little guy, very endearing and very funny 🥰🤗
Miller looks like my Marshmellow and is so adorable. Thanks Scott and So Cal.❤

What a sweet boy Joe is!
“Marshmallow in a basket” LOL!!!
Joe is just so darn cute.
Omgosh! He is the cutest thing !!! 🥰
I love joe, he is so cute. Sadly, i can't adopt him because I live in Germany
That red yed looks like Vitröd 🥰💙
That Joe needs kisses 🤣😍😍
I wish I could volunteer but I live to far away yesterday my 8 an a half guinea pig Eddie passed away so I wanted to get my 2 year old boy a new friend from there
So sorry to hear. It is devastating to lose a pet.
I was just telling my husband that it would be tough to have a skinny pig in my old drafty house in New England unless my mom would knit him a sweater!
❤❤❤
Getting up and personal into their faces! Hoarding of animals seems to be more of a denial of resources for too many animals, that you consider yourself to be 'caring for'. Where a mental disorder can lead to the harming of lives, it's absolutely so dangerous to those truly vulnerable (animals have no say, they are extremely vulnerable. Put into our hands, even more so) put in that situation, with someone thinking they are doing right. It's one example, as I'm sure many people must know that they are harming the animals they have.
The difference of a foster 'fail', where an animal is not really failed, their fosterer has grown a much deeper bond (and often vice versa) and feels that the animal is already in their best situation with that fosterer. That fostered animal is already home. To me, it will always be a foster win, where the fosterer and fostered animal are already so happy together. I'm sure that there's much more to it than this, as I can see why rescuers, for just one animal or for many, have considered that animal going to someone else, and having the same thing or worse happen again. Just like animals, we are complex! I love seeing just how these squeakhearts change, in many aspects, to being their much healthier and happier selves! Joe is absolutely loved, he has found his health and his voice!! It's profoundly beautiful to see someone from a neglectful situation finally having a better bill of health and feeling safe enough to be more themselves and feel that much braver to voice their opinion!! Val, you, Saskia and so, so many others involved in rescue show nothing but love for each other and those in their care, plus those that need rescuing!!
If someone who rescues and starts threatening to harm, starts being extremely negative, it goes against what a rescuer should be. The purpose of rescue is to help better the lives of others, and while this Cannot be an easy thing at all (putting yourself in possible danger, seeing such horrible situations, exhausting yourself), a rescuer is not rescuing if they start despising your work, those you rescue and despise others that do the same as you. Apologies, it was a long line of thought! ❤
Love seeing them doing so well!
Gotta admit, I would be very nervous that one boar would be giving a bit TOO much attention to the spayed sow, if you know what I mean. True, there would be no risk of pregnancy, but I’d just want to know she wasn’t being involuntarily attempted pregnancy-ed whenever the boar felt like it. 😳
I was a bit worried about that too BUT it hasn''t been an issue at all. He doesn't hump her relentlessly at all, in fact I never see him hump her. They mostly run around and rumble together, its been the cutest relationship to see.
Joe looks like he's wearing fur boots
Is Joe available and does he get along with other males?
He is not available, I am keeping him and am looking for a spayed female for him. He was so beat up by the other boys from the awful hoarding house he was in that I think a spayed female will be best.
@SoCalGuineaPigRescue awesome. I have a male that has had several males cage mates. Gets along well. His 6 year old cage mate just passed. Glad he is there. Thanks
You’re a hoarder now Scotty. You shouldn’t have 24 animals
That's not my house. And you can say that about pretty much any rescue. It's not about how many animals you have it's about it's about how able you are to care for them
That is my house, I have 11 guinea pigs of my own plus fosters and boarders. I am not a hoarder, but I sure do know how to recognize a hoarder when I see one and work hard to get animals out of hoarding situations.
Good point
Good point
@@billythekid2335 be careful when you throw around a word like hoarder. Animal hoarding is a mental disorder where the person accumulates so many animals that they’re unable to care for them. They will keep collecting animals regardless of the fact that the ones they already have may be starving, living in cramped housing and likely breeding. My rescue is a registered 501c3 non profit. We are foster based, we rely on donations and funds raised through our efforts like boarding. We do not take a salary and yet we are basically on call to jump in when needed to rescue animals out of actual hoarding situations.
