Next time I'm at Walmart, I'll grab a pack. Been using Kirkland towels forever. Still have a ton left. I also like the re-usability of them as well. I toss a bunch in the washer, use vinegar as my softener (plus we have hard water here), then into the dryer without dryer sheets (I use wool balls you get from bed bath and beyond to keep them static and lint free), and they're back to peek performance.
Thank you for putting this out I've been using them now for a few months and I really like them. The main reason why a lot of times I don't go to Costco and get them because the price keeps fluctuating and I realized the East Peoria Walmart has the prices marked higher and they just don't seem as good as the old Kirkland's towels these Platinum ones aren't a bad towel at all
I have a 67 mustang and I use them all the time, I never reuse any towel on the paint one time then done. Always been so afraid to scratch the paint. Then I use the used towels for wheel cleaning and other that don’t scratch easily. But a great towel for sure!
Love the information on your videos. To take the tags off the Kirkland towels 1st rip the tag 1 edge at a time (tag is folded over) any remaining tag try pulling along the edge(sideways).
Love the video content you've been putting out man! Fun fact by the way, that hole you mentioned isn't just a way to feel for the microfiber texture or to feel in general but is to be used as a dispensing hole! Manufacturers purposely placed it there to allow consumers access the towels on the go quickly just by pulling from through the hole.
Definitely going to give the Walmart ones a try. I hate taking tags off that many towels lol. Keep coming out with the great content bro! Still one of the most underrated detailing channels on TH-cam. 💪🏽🙏🏽
I've found that if you tear the tag from the Costco towel from the corner to the center of the side the tag is attached you are far less likely to blow out the hem.
I just grabbed 3 packs of the Costco ones while they were on sale for $14.99. So far I’m pretty pleased with them, just whip out the lint, tear the tag off and there good to go.
Have you tried the Sam's Club microfiber towels? They have one that's similar to the Costco ones but with "easy tear tags" and a larger one that's orange.
BWEARE - Walmart platinum towels will transfer yellow dye, especially when used with any sort of cleaner. Used them to clean white vinyl seats on my boat, with a vinyl cleaner, and they now have a yellow tint to them. Also left a faint yellow tint to my black leather seats, after using it with a leather cleaner. Noticed yellow staining on my blue gloves as well. Package actually recommends washing towels before initial use to avoid dye transfer.
I'm a DIYer. Been using the COSTCO towels for years. I understand what you're saying about how difficult it is to remove tags. I will try a pack of the Walmart towels. I wipe my car down with ONR and only wash my car maybe once a month, because it is protected. Have you joined the PCA yet? Many members are looking for tips on how and where to have their Porsche cars detailed.
It looks like you get more with the Costco towel, the Walmart towels don’t seem like they’re worth it over the Costco ones, thinner, smaller, the whole tag removal thing I just take my time. As detailers we have the patience anyways right? 😆
I use the Walmart once in my business because the closest Costco it's about an hour away and there's a Walmart 5 minutes awa, plus they are way more affordable so i can buy three packs of the Walmart once for the price of the Kirkland's.
how do you like using your blower? I see its one of those "workshop blowers" and I was looking to get like a kobalt one cause I have kobalt tools. What's your view?
There are very good inexpensive microfibers and in addition in a mixture of 70-30 and 300gms 16x16 "ideal for wiping ceramic coatings, these are the microfibers: miracle microfiber (labeled with the immaculate brand), pack of 25 for €19.80 on Amazon, 5 colors and superbly soft, the only downside is the loop that serves as a clip, but I cut it with scissors and it's perfect 👌
Hey Josh, I picked up your Father’s Day kit from maxshine. Those microfiber towels are truly amazing. Now I’m used to using crap towels and throwing them away after. For these maxshine towels, how do I take care of them and go about washing them? I really don’t want to ruin them, or any other good towels in the future
Do you wash and re use or just buy a new pack every time? If you wash them. Is it ok to use a free and clear detergent or only a microfiber wash? I know not to use fabric softener on them. Thanks!
I'm feeling so jealous right now. Uk how much it is for a pack of Kirkland microfiber towels here in Belize. It's crazy, blew my mind. I was like "what the hell" $102.00 for a 36 pieces pack here.
I just picked up my first pack of Costco towels last weekend. Going to use some for interiors and some for household things. I thought they all had that sticker on them at first and I was gonna be so mad because I just threw that first one away lol I wish they didn’t have a tag either!

I like to buy bulk Sams Club and pre wash with P&S and they are soft enough to do all of my general purpose tasks.
Recently bought a pack of the Walmart towels, and am really impressed by them, especially at 16 dollars for a pack of 40 tagless towels

I worked at a tint shop for a while and honestly the costco towels are the best for windows leaves absolutely no lint no streaks
@@SPPACATR never done that to us. Probably depends the side you use

Sam's club also sells their own microfiber towels! Any chance you could do a comparison between all three brands? Thanks for the info!
Would love to see this!

Same, they had a sale for $15, got 2 packs like 2 weeks ago.
I’ll have to check them out, thanks Josh 👍😁
I’ve used Costco towels for 8 years recently got Walmart towels and I I prefer the Walmart ones

Wow. Thanks
Lmao I’ve used the Walmart ones for a year and no issues. Especially with heavy apc

Thanks for the comparison, I’ll have to pick up the Walmart towels next time I’m there
What do you use to wash your towels? I just washed mine in the washing machine with Tide
Good afternoon. What name brand Is the hand help blower that you were using? Thanks for the information and have a great day
Anyone ever used newspapers years ago for windows

Would these towels work fine for IPA wipe down, applying hybrid ceramic spray, and cleaning windows? Basically a full detail.

I just saw that pack today and said I wonder what Josh will say about them hahaha

Wash on delicate setting. Use a non dyed non perfume soap. Add a cup of white vinegar. Dry on medium. You're good to go
Do you wash and re use or just buy a new pack every time? If you wash them. Is it ok to use a free and clear detergent or only a microfiber wash? I know not to use fabric softener on them. Thanks!
they make a soap specifically for microfiber towels. I think Josh has a video on it.
Two ? professional detailers have used Tide and All " free and clear " detergent in white bottle for their microfiber towels .
Is it okay to cut the tags as close to the seam as possible or should we be ripping these out ? All the ones I’ve tried to rip have been fails lol
I really like the wal mart towels
Are these good to use straight out of the pack?
I heard the yellow towels from walmart are good for the interior only they will scratch your paint.
Walmart has new updated 350gsm platinum series microfiber towels

Ingot the Walmart 30 towels for 10$ and it’s hard to beat
link that blower plz

I saw a video that Costco towels leave scratches is that true?
Would cutting out the area of towel where the tag is attached ruin the towel?
What would you use on a super dirty window something water can’t just clean ?
Light polish. And polish pad
What was the brand of blower you were using to dry your car?
Kinda looks like a dewalt shop blower though I could be wrong
I was just looking at these towels today but didn't pull the trigger on them. I don't like the blend!
Is that your 911??
Nice car!
The kirklands feel like 380 gsm
Costco towels are now Tagless!
What!!!!! That’s huge news thanks I’ll check it out. The same Kirkland ones right?
