- SpaceX is on the edge of a groundbreaking achievement in space technology with its upcoming Starship Flight 4 launch, scheduled for tomorrow, June 6th. The target launch time is 8 am EDT, but this is subject to change, so you all should stay tuned for updates. This mission marks a crucial step towards achieving reusability and pushing the boundaries of deep-space exploration.
The Starship and its Super Heavy booster are the world's most powerful rocket, standing at an impressive 400 feet tall. The first stage is powered by 33 Raptor engines, while the Starship upper stage is powered by six Raptors. This launch system is designed to be fully reusable and capable of flying to deep-space destinations. SpaceX's ultimate goal is to establish a human settlement on Mars, and the Starship is the key to making this vision a reality.
So, Ship 29 is currently stacked atop booster 11, but you know, it will be flying with missing tiles. Do you remember the missing tiles that I mentioned 2 days ago? Yeah, that has not been fixed yet. I think it’s basically to test whether the Ship can achieve reentry with broken or missing tiles.
The primary objective of Flight 4 is to demonstrate the ability to return and reuse Starship and Super Heavy. The first two flights failed to reach space, while the third flight reached space but broke apart during reentry. Despite these setbacks, SpaceX has persevered, and Flight 4 is expected to be a major success.
The Starship Flight 4 is expected to last just over one hour, following a similar trajectory to the previous Starship Flight 3 launch on March 14. The flight path does not require a deorbit burn for reentry, prioritizing public safety while still meeting the primary objective of a controlled Starship reentry. The Super Heavy booster is expected to fly for nearly 7 minutes, with a landing burn scheduled for 6 minutes and 43 seconds after liftoff. This will be a crucial moment in the mission, as a successful landing and splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico will demonstrate the reusability of the booster.
SpaceX has a 120-minute launch window, which means the Starship could lift off anytime between 8 am and 10 am EDT. The company will offer a free live webcast of the launch beginning at approximately 7:30 am EDT. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
Looking forward to watch the launch 🚀.
Let's goooo!
Launch window time was incorrectly specified in narration as starting 7am Eastern time when on-screen text said 7am Central time.
lets go raptors
I told him from day one, (as a person who has worked with stainless) don't mess around with it. It will bite you in the end, and it has.
SpaceX intentionally removed several tiles to measure the temperature of the Ship's hull during re-entry.
It would take Boeing 40 years to do what spacex has done
OH Noes!! That baby gon blow big =D
Thank you very much for the brief newsletter, but I need some more information. I loved it. Have a good week everyone, and please keep me posted. 👏👏❤️🌹🍀💥🚀☺️

I don’t think they aren’t installing those missing tiles to test if the ship can survive without them. The likelihood of existing tiles falling off during flight is so high that they will test that even if they don’t want to. Starting with missing tiles just wouldn’t make sense. If they can go a flight with all tiles staying on, then test edge cases. Starting with some off and losing some more wouldn’t prove anything.
D-day for space X.
That's already happened as Elon ripped them off...
Suckers.. Wake up people.
@@morgan-5171 what u talkin about,. He puts his money where his mouth is, and Space X is so profitable, it can spend a ton on Starship r@d
What happened to my reply to a guys reply on this thread
Yes...!?
I can't believe they would deliberately go up with tiles missing already. that's as dumb as the first launch with no water deluge system.
Actually its cost effective. IFT4 is expendable and SpaceX learns more from failure than success. What they hope to learn is how critical heat shield tile quantity and location among other things. I am not saying SpaceX wants another RUD but they will take all the data and learn from it. Hoping for a double controlled splash down.
Musk needs to keep the program going and has to show some progress, otherwise the funding might just dry up. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they deliberately let it burn up because they know it’s not ready for a controlled landing. I’m guessing they’re going for a controlled decent keeping starship oriented the right way.
LOL, I bet the astronauts crapped themselves when the engine stated thinking the ship blew up. That is the greatest issue with failed launches: the psychological trauma.
There won't be anyone in it.. Lol.. Universel pictures might be producing it.. 🤡
I find it funny that starliner, was being developed and racing against spacex dragon capsule, at one time it wasn’t known who would win between dragon and starliner. Almost laughable now 😂
They have the License already
Today is June 5!
There's no need to rush it. If they are just getting around to getting the tiles in order, they should wait until they are all there, secure and tested. It doesn't bode well for any kind of re-entry at close to orbital velocity with missing/shaky tiles. The plasma will make quick work of the exposed steel and.. kaboom goes starship, again..
Maybe they want to test the durability of the stainless steel structure... how critical are the tiles, anyway? It would be good to know.
@@frankmcgowan9457Pretty pointless to test that using a rocket. You can calculate all that and test it in a lab if you really wanted to check the numbers.
Get ready ULA will launch again.....in 7 years!
The worser thing I that ITS LEAKING HELIUM.
You think they will deny docking???
I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT STARSHIP ! IN 17 MONTHS WE'LL BE LANDING PEOPLE ON THE MOON !!!!!
Um, no. Not a chance.
@@itheuserfirst3186
The chance might be slim but not zero...
A "standard" Starship could easily take an Alpaca lander to the moon without waiting for HLS... if Alpaca can do the job. Building a moon base will be much easier if HLS brings an electric D11 bulldozer with a cab... clearing/grading a building site should be about the same as here and will require similar tools... The dozer may not be required right away but it _will_ be required at some point.
That's funny.
Who's the bookie for bets on another unscheduled rapid disassembly?
the anachronism is RUD - rapid unscheduled disassembly but I'm splitting hairs.
Starship should be used to fly Dynetics lander to the Moon
Sure. I've proposed that already. Make vehicles of every size and fly them all; each will be needed for some mission at some time. Alpaca would make a great long range shuttle for lunar point to point transport...
Wot about the license?????
It's already approved by the FAA!
We don't need no stinking license.
That was yesterdays news….and the ift 5 is also approved
You can't get a license for bs.. Sorry nasa can one.. 😋
SK
Starliner has 3 helium leaks... not looking good for boeing
Ya, saw that.
why not try rapture relight¿?
Boocking flight 4 never comes
That is one ugly rocket. Elon needs to leave the aesthetics up to someone else. He is not good at it. Like that ugly truck.
Compared to Boeing and SLS it is dead sexy. N00B
No, it is one beautiful giant Tintin rocket.
“An ugly rocket”…. It is a cylinder, vpointy at one end, and flamey at the other. A basic rocket. Anything more is extraneous.
“Best Part is No Part”
someone tell you he designed the look? Amusing
@@colinf.1198Yep, Musk says so himself. Are you calling Musk a liar?
