I loved when Silco talked to Vander. When he said "I understand now brother". Because he has a daughter now he finally understands why Vander refused to fight with Piltover : to protect his kids at any cost. Same as Silco now. He would rather go to war than lose Jinx
but Jinx could interpret it like Silco just finally understood why Vander has tried to kill Silco. And Silco decided to exchange Jinx for independent zaun (and i interpreted Silco's speach like this :))
@@pepperpepperzz6147 I feel you. And that is, in my opinion, the beauty of this series. There are so many ways to interpret the lines that every action taken makes sense.
@@alizeewagner3679 and Silco said "circle is closed" or smth like that. Vander tried to kill Silco for piece withc peltover and now its time for Silco to make a decision
I don't want to sound like an ass, but you are pointing the obvious. That's EXACTLY why SIlco went to talk to Vander, and the fact Jinx interpreted that in a different way is also quite obvious.
I like that Silco had a mug that Jinx made for him on his desk and an ashtray that she doodled on. All the toys he had hung up on his ceiling and I also heard that she made a the hextech weapon a shark with a scar over the left eye because silco had a scar and liked aquatic monsters. That's adorable
She had a sketch of her shark rocket in episode 3 when she's having her panic attack. You can see it when she drops the crystals out of her bag and they roll across it. The scar is over the left eye like her 3rd dad though
yeah i believe the scar is definitely for Silco but the actual rocket being fishbones is from when Vi and Powder were little and would chase monsters, one of them was fishbones. At least Im pretty sure but could be wrong. But I like the fact that silco loved water aquatic animals more of a reason!
The tragedy of Jinx is that she truly lives up to that name, killing two of her childhood friends, contributing to the death of one father figure, directing killing another father figure & being the cause of war right as peace was in their grasp. She truly is a Jinx.
@@cutecookie3375 not no matter what since, the council was gonna agree on a agreement. So If Slico never ended up giving Jinx away, it’s not as if the council would had reversed their decision.
@@cutecookie3375 People say this, but i think of it as the council being OPEN to the idea of peace, they might have figured another deal out. That also makes it more tragic. Also it solidifies Jinx as a jinx
@@brandon-3912 They agree because Jayce know Silco going to hand over Jinx for His Dream but He didn't espect Him to throw His Dream for Jinx 👀👀 so yeah, War still happening
Just about every last scene she was in throughout the whole series she was Jinxed. She heard everything at the wrong time, failed when it mattered, succeeded when she shouldn't have, and every last time anything was going to go her way, something had to show up and rip it away from her, and it always had to make sure she saw it. Nothing ever went wrong for her in the background, it always had to be right before her eyes. It's no wonder she's so messed up if this is her life, I'd be schizophrenic too thinking that everyone is out to get me, she has plenty of fragments of evidence to believe it.
Jinx’s rocket is named Fishbones, and it’s a sharp-faced shark with one messed up eye. Silco is a sharp-faced man with a messed up eye that loves sea creatures. She made it special for him just like the mug and ashtray on his desk in every scene, only she never got to give it to him.
With all that in mind, it makes the final scene of fishbones attacking the council tragically poetic. Jinx is declaring war with Piltover on behalf of Silco.
not rly ... silco is character missing in lore created just for show btw jinx talks with fishbones ... as if they were dating / married while pew-pew is treated as her old best friend
@@alanea5860 well thats old buddy riot already updated jinx story .. what even update and change to the stories by riot is cannon because they are the ones who made this story the game and the arcane show
It's actually really cool how the creators juxtaposed how two sisters see their dead family members. Vi sees Vander during her fight with Sevika, but he's encouraging her to keep going. Vi mistakenly thinks Jinx might also see them that way which is why she told her to remember them during the dinner party scene, but didn't get that instead of being these ghosts to lift her up, they're Jinx' demons that torment.
This!! This is what i try to tell people. Vi never understood how much the explosion affected her. She kept telling Jinx to remember but all it did was show her the demons inside her. How she messed up.
The whole reason why Vi fails in connecting with Jinx is exactly that. She tries to connect with Powder, refusing to aknowledge that she is Jinx now, and she has her demons. Vi wanted a sister that didn't exist anymore, and in so doing, lost all chance of connecting with Jinx.
@@DanishHellhound You mean she never had a chance to connect with her in the first place, because of all the lies, that had been put in her head. Dunno how you can connect with a Person in a span of 10 Minutes.
Even more ironic is that there is person who understood her there: Silco tells Jinx to not listen to her not because he is afraid Jinx will turn on him, but because he hears her say 'stop' when Vi mentions their names. He notices that it is tormenting her. That's also the reason why he shoots Vi: not to protect himself, but to protect Jinx. All in all: terrible person, their relationship was messed up, but he truly cared for Jinx.
I love how the phrase "I made her a snack" can be interpreted as "made snack for her" or "made her into a snack". The duality of it is fucking awesome depending on the character. Same way how Vi was remembering others as people to cherish but then Jinx remembers them as her mistakes that whisper in her head.
When she ran to him saying "No no no" and then the look on his face, man I've never cried like that for a villain before. The whole final ten minutes was amazing.
I think that's because Silco isn't a villain. He's an antagonist for sure, but his intentions are to free his people from oppression and to raise his adopted daughter to overcome her trauma. He's incredibly human.
@@Huskymon Silco isn't even the antagonist. An antagonist is a character that works in opposition to and whose goals conflicts with the protagonist. If Jinx is the protagonist of the show - then Vi is the antagonist. She is the one hurting Jinx more than anyone, even though it's unintentional. (Edit: For clarification, as a rule of thumb, the protagonist of a story is the person whose name is first introduced, thereby the one the audience connects to and uses as the point of focus going forward. This is not always true, but usually. The first spoken line in Episode 1 is literally: "Hey, Powder!" making Powder the protagonist - and by extension Jinx. Powder also happens to be the first person whose voice we hear, as she sings on the Bridge in the first scene, and the POV character, as she witnesses the carnage on the Bridge.)
Since everybody in league fandom just talks about vi, cait, jinx or viktor, im dedicating my last comment here to Jayce: This episode was so good for Jayce, it made him justice, he was a character that ascended to power in piltover and that was so much pressure in his shoulders, you can see him being stressed in almost every scene, always getting influenced by other people opinions and interests, (he got influenced by heimer in the independence day speech, by mel all the time, by viktor, by mels mother, even by Vi when she convinced him to attack silco) And finally in this episode we got his change, killing that kid was a stop for him, Vi tries to convices him to keep fighting and we finally see him saying no. After that he contact with silco to make the peace, all by his own, his decission wasnt influenced by anyone, then he goes to the council and tell everyone he doesnt give a shit about their opinions anymore (except mel), he knows he is doing the correct and for the first time he is being totally confident of his OWN DECISION. One of the greatest character evolution in this series.
"it all makes sense no, brother... Is there anything as undoing as a daughter?“ Flawless monolog writing. Also massive props to Jinx VA (Ella Purnell, I think) Everyone does a really good job with the voice acting but everything about Jinx in the table scene is absolutely perfect. Hell, it's almost too real. Combined with, again, the absolutely brilliant character writing is hauntingly beautiful as much as it's scary and tragic. You genuinely wanna hold, protect and comfort the psychotic murderer... Takes a special kind of perfection to make that work.
I feel you, brother. If there was a way I could jump into the series to hug Jinx I would. That's just because we both know her actions are the consequences of traumatic past events she didn't really have the most control of. And even though she was lead to those decisions, she feels guilty of it all, despite Silco being the piece that made it all work that way. Yet, despite the fact I can't really put the blame on her, there's not a single moment I can say Jinx is happy. It's all sadness and trauma, with no sight at retribution. Man, I wanted Vi to get her little sister back so much. And now I can't cope with the fact Jinx is all alone with her traumatic thoughts. Just hurts.
@@bridgethaines7127 Well... big franchises are loosing fanbase cuz killing a heroes (disney with Star Wars or all that TLOU2 thing) lets hope Riot will not a support this "original" way of storytelling...
What I don't see anyone mentioning is that both Silco and Vi are probably equally bad/good for her, they both love her so much, while Silco loves her for who she is, Vi loves her for who she was. Vi is terrified of what Jinx is, when she joyfully shoots her gun at the firelights etc. And she just can't accept that the years turned her into that and just wishes for the innocent Powder to be back, something that'll never happen, you can see that when she calls out to remember Mylo, Clogger, Vander unaware of the PTSD she is triggering in her little sister. Silco on the other hand makes her feel comfortable and like she fits in, however that in turn makes her grow more comfortable drowning out her issues when she blows stuff up or is with him. I really love the character dynamic between the three of them so much because of that, Vi is being ignorant of the trauma she suffers, thinking that she just needs to come back to fix her, while Silco shields her from that pain always positively reinforcing her chaotic behaviour to keep her from suffering
Because most people don't want a family member to be a rampaging killer who will be on the run from the law for the rest of their life. Discouraging that behavior is not a bad thing it is what a parent is SUPPOSE to do.
@@scotthenderson3519 For sure thats why I dont say its bad, just that Vi is approaching it from a situation where she still treats her as a child, which is totally understandable bein basically stuck in time during her stay in prison
@@Greysterization Jinx IS attacking like a child. She almost blew VI away with her MINI gun the first time the meet cause she not thinking she just in kill mode. I love how people are pretending Silco never manipulated Jinx, like he didn't convince her that Violet abandoned her or reminded her of that pain. (Silco didn't know what happened to Vi, but he presumed she died. Which meant she didn't just abandon Powder/Jinx on purpose). He needed her to feel like she had nobody else in the world. Whether or not that was really true...Silco loved her as a daughter, that doesn't mean he was her savior like some people are trying to argue.
Silco's facial animations throughout this episode were especially stellar. You could tell he was so startled when Sevika slashed out with her sword. And his slight inward panic on the bridge when asked to turn over Jinx. And softness when he died. Same thing with Powder and Vi in episode 3. I was stunned to learn that it isn't motion captured. Also that Sting song claps.
"I thought maybe you could love me [Jinx] like you used to [love Powder]..." Jinx just wanted Vi to love her as the person she is, but Vi only loved the memory of who she used to be. The entire dinner scene was one big test to see if Vi could accept her Jinx, and Vi failed it.
Jinx just suffered the entire show, and Silco was the only one who's not blame her and accepted her by what she was. And now she is alone again. That's too sad bro.
That because Silco WANTED the crazy criminal Jinx. He pushed her in that direction by constantly lying to her about VI. If Silco had just told her the truth and gotten VI from the start so they could talk thing would have end much better for everyone......The risk was Silco might not have gotten the JINX he wanted and that was not a risk he was willing to take. He did love her but he didn't do what was best for Jinx he was doing what was best for himself.
@@scotthenderson3519 no it wasnt for the crazy criminal jinx??? I agree. Establishing peace in a council meeting will have its drawbacks, I believe it would be mostly due to the fact that people themselves would have a hard time trying to adjust to getting along with people they hated for so long just because the government says so. It's hard, but in order to have peace, everyone needs to agree on both sides, even if there is one person not in agreement, everything will come crumbling down eventually.
It probably would've, stalled it at the very least, if the hextech tools were implemented but maybe that's just me being optimistic. The realistic outcome is it probably will get monopolized by the elites then civil war would've broken out, at the very least.
No and they would have still looked at the undercitys people like the scum of the earth. Just look how they looked at vi without even saying anything. So well done from the animation crew at fortiche.
Silco wanted to kill Vi from the moment he found out she was back. This was just his first real opportunity to do it. He saw Vi as a threat he could lose Jinx to, and in this moment Vi seemed like she could win her over.
@@HazelAmarie Ofc it isnt. But its in Silco character. She is hurting his unwanted daughter. As f**t sand toxic their relationship is. He still justifies that way.
I've played League of Legends for well over 10 years, and Jinx is still my all time favorite adc. This show really did and outstanding job as far as visual cinematography, writing, and the dialogue was superb. It just broke my heart to learn how Jinx, VI, and Ekko were all tied into the tragedy at the loss of their friends. If you have ever watched Ekkos music video "Seconds" you'll know what I mean.
I love that line that Jinx says, "I thought maybe you could love me like you used to. Even though I'm... different." because back in ep 2 Vi says, "You know, Powder, what makes you different makes you strong. Always remember that, okay?"
Its even more poetic when you know that the "Shark-Rocketlauncher" Jinx has, was made by her for Silco, thats why one eye isnt right and its a shark... cuz Silco is known to like seacreatures... thats why it said "We'll show them"
Silco is the only person that never ever told jinx that she's a literal jinx or blamed her. Even after being shot by her to death, he told her she is perfect. While i know that this just pushes her to do bad without thinking much, it still shows that Silco was the only person that loved her unconditionally. As a real father would.

Really? Vander didn't... As far as I remember Clogger didn't either, tho at times he didn't really protest when Milo did it so maybe you could say he indirectly did? 🤔
I think, that if Vi would call "Powder" by her now name Jinx, she would accept her and be willing to listen to her little more. But after Powder said to her "It's Jinx now", Vi refused to listen. We would have a better ending, if Vi wouldn't be stuck in past so much :/
he was an evil man and yet his redemption was loving Jinx to the point he would burn the world to protect her from "them", that is why we love Silco, with all his flaws... and in the last moments he tries to make Jinx feel that she is loved and cared for. He tries to give her some psichological balance... but his death is the last straw that extinguishes powder last light and brings Jinx to the center stage
When you look at the Arcane poster you can see Silco on the left representing Jinx and all she stands for right now. And on the right Vi holding on to the past wanting Powder back. Jinx in the middle sitting on the Jinx chair. And above her a glowing glass window with Mel sitting, her Ring on the window instead of the rocket representing that she does not Heed her mothers warning's. Remember she took it off in the actual scene. Below Jinx is the undercity becoming the nation of Zaun. Silco tried to stop Vi from triggering Jinxes past traumas.. He said "Don't listen to her" Silco was in the right on that scene whilst Vi was holding on to the past and Powder. In the end Silco pulled a gun on Vi and Jinx shot him out of protective instinct for her sister. After the shot she snapped out of it though. We can also see smoke from Pow pow Jinxes pistol meaning Silco did shoot it but with intention to miss. He only wanted Vi to stop hurting his daughter mentally. :'(
Amazing reaction. This episode was so emotional and intense, that last "diner" scene got me crying as well.. The way they managed to make Silco's death heartbreaking with those last words towards his "daughter" with his look full of pure and sincere love for her was so perfectly done. This show is truly a masterpiece. Being a League player for 10 years and a Jinx main in the game I felt so special about this show and the ending left me so empty, WE NEED MORE!!! Really liked your reaction :)

He was a loving father... I wouldnt call him great. Letting your teenage daughter run around with hightech explosives and fully automatic weapons getting into life or death battles on a whim and suicide bombing bridges isn't really the telltale signs of a great father... Not even in a civil war.
I just finished this show yesterday, the day before my birthday, and I have to say this is one of the greatest animated series of all time! Not since Game Of Thrones have I come to love a fantasy world with such rich stories and deep characters as this show. My heart absolutely breaks for Vi and Jynx, I just want to give both of them a hug. And I love how Silco came to understand and respect Vander because he to had come to love Jynx as a daughter and would’ve given up his dream of an free and independent Zaun for her safety and freedom. I do hate how it ended the cliffhanger as if there was a new episode out next week, and not what GOT did with closing the chapter but showing a peak at the next chapter. But other than that this show is PERFECT I’ve been a gamer my entire life and I never played League of Legends (mostly because I’ve never been able to afford a PC) but now I am a HUGE fan of it just from this show.
About league, it's a good game! But just as most games online there's many toxic players, so I suggest you just to ignore them if you ever play LoL and face that kind of people :p HF!
Good news then. There is a Mobile Version that gives the perfect League of Legends Experience. It's called League of Legends: Wild Rift. They even had an event where they gave everyone a free Jinx and Vi skin to players for the Arcane Event
People will tell you that peace wouldn't happen because Silco wouldn't give up Jinx, but I'm convinced once the council voted on peace, they would be able to find a compromise with Silco despite that.
Congratulations, Magy ! I cried when I watched the finale last week, and you managed to make me cry once again through your reaction. I just love watching your reaction coz you're so expressive and emotional, and your range of emotion can go from 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye ! I'm working in animation, and truthfully, this series will go down as a revolution in the animation industry (there's gonna be a pre-Arcane,era and a post-Arcane era), and this final episode will go down in history as one of the best finale in the history of fiction, all medias included (novels, comics, animation, Live action TV series...) : The writing is so insanely good, it's maddening ! Just how they managed to converge all the different characters stories into one final sequence that just impacts everything with such a cataclysmic strength ... and leave us hanging there literally off a cliff with Sting singing What could have been when the rocket smashes the window when everyone voted the peace treaty... Just absolutely WOW !!! Fortiche prod used to make music videos for Lol, and it really shows, here, how they're just so good at basically cram a MV in each episode, and make it happen so that it's not jarring but actually ENHANCES the narration ! And here we are, hanging on that cliff for at least 2 years (yes season 2 is in production, but animation, especially of this quality, takes a lot of time, so don't expect it before at the very least 2 full years. After all, it took 6 years to complete season 1, but at least, now they don't need to go through the whole research and development of all the concept art and working pipeline with the CG software, and all the characters are modeled and textured, already, so they "only" need to animate them) So looking forward for season 2 ! And so looking for the double treat of you reacting to it !
When I saw Powder become an unpredictable schizophrenic intelligent psychopath, I was completely chilled by her change of character, and the last part of the front row at the end was completely shocking.
i just watched through your entire set of Arcane reactions, and i loved them. it was so interesting to see the point of view of someone who doesnt play the game, and doesnt know which characters are champions (and likely wont die) thank you!
One of the things I noticed in episode 3 I thought was interesting is silco took in jinx because Vi presumably abandoned Powder much like vander presumably abandoned silco. And I love how they tie it all together at the end.
It's fascinating how they wrote the sisters reaction to their trauma. Vi's was to bottle it up and press on while Powder's was to put on a facade and devolve into madness. While both of the siblings have trust issues, Vi hasn't had the freedom to fully deal with her trauma as she's been locked up and has always had to take on the role as a strong leader; but Powder has survival guilt and is always being dragged down by it. This is just how I interpret it, this show does wonders.
I’m late to the party here, but I just finished watching your reactions to this series last night. And I absolutely loved it. I had not seen this before, so a huge thank you Magy for introducing me to this amazing series. Can’t wait for Season 2 now
Great reaction, Magy ❤ I love your channel. Silco almost murdered Violet in front of Jinx/Powder, and yet everyone is praising him lmao it's wild. He was a great villain, and a complex one. He did love Jinx as a daughter, and I believe he was sincere about what he said. That doesn't mean he wasn't also manipulative and didn't use Jinx. He most certainly did use her, and raised her to be a killer. Let's not gloss over that fact, simply because he died. If Jinx didn't kill him, Violet would be dead and Jinx would've had to witness her sister die instead.
It's gonna be SO painful waiting (most likely) 2 years for season 2 but if they make it as good as the first, let them take all the time they need I say.
I hope they have Urgot show up in season 2 assuming they stay in Zaun, he feels like a perfect villain to fit into the themes of the show, plus it would be neat to see him interact with Jinx since based on voice lines in the game, she's one of the people he respects somewhat, enough to not insult her at least, his line is "This city calls for chaos, she is but the first to answer."
Arcane is my Star Wars in 2021. That may seem a bit of a superlative hyperbole but it is not; let me explain. In 1977 Star Wars had visual effects, editing, cinematography, and world building that nobody (including myself) had ever seen before. And even though the character development borrowed heavily from Joseph Campbell's "The Hero's Journey" and from Akira Kurosawa films that many other Hollywood movies had used before, Star Wars used them in a new, fresh, and interesting way. It's what sucked me and many others into being huge fans (okay, to be fair - obsessed) with Star Wars. Skip to 2021 and Arcane... here I am watching a show (I knew of League of Legends, but never played it. Never watched any of the trailers or media hype leading up to Arcane. And I honestly thought it was just another animated video-game cash grab. I felt a bit burned from the Mortal Kombat remake and other video game adaptations in the past few years. However, I very much enjoyed Castlevania, and everyone wouldn't shut up about how great Arcane was. Plus I own the Mechs vs. Minions board game - one of the best production quality board games I own... hmm, maybe I'll give Arcane a shot). Anyway, back on track... here I am watching a show and the more I am watching it, the more I am getting the same reactions/feelings I had when I watched Star Wars back in 1977 so very long ago. Wait, what is this? Am I actually watching visual effects that give me the same sense of awe as the visuals I witnessed in back in 1977? I'm an old cynical curmudgeon of modern pop-culture and cinema; how could this possibly be happening?! Wait, what is this? Am I in awe of the editing and cinematography actually being in service of the character's stories and arcs? And they are actually adhering to the story-telling 101 of show-don't-tell? I'm an old-cynical curmudgeon of modern pop-culture and cinema; how could this possibly be happening?! Wait, what is this? Am I actually drawn into the excellent world-building be presented here, and I am now obsessed with delving further into the lore of this world? I'm an old cynical curmudgeon of modern pop-culture and cinema; how could this possibly be happening?! And my last and favorite part of what Arcane has delivered for me... THE PROTAGONIST!! Sorry, to all-caps that, but I felt it was important to emphasize what truly sets Arcane apart from the usual story troupes I have seen before and is the most important part of Arcane. Its protagonist's story. Who might your ask is the protagonist of Arcane? Well, I'm glad you asked! It's Jinx. Wait, what?! How can that be you might ask? Well, let me be here to edjumicate you :p (sorry) A protagonist is the character of a story that the entire plot effects/drives the story forward/revolves around/is in service of. Don't mistake that a protagonist is the Hero of a story, or is the character who has the most screen time. As far as plot is concerned, who/what action put this entire story into motion? Would any world-building, characters meeting each other, or conflicts ever happened if this one event didn't take place? What was that one event? It's Powder dropping/exploding the unstable crystal in Jayce's apartment. That put this whole story into motion. Also, every other character's actions in some way directly or indirectly effect Powder/Jinx's story to get her to the point that she pulled the trigger on Fishbones. So much more can be said/delved into (what's great about this show), but just know that this is a Villain's origin story, first and fore most. Everything else is in service of that. And that what makes this so great and fresh in 2021. It's opposite of Star Wars 1977's the Hero's Journey origin story. It's not meant to be a heroic tale, it's a tragedy meant to be the Villain's Journey. And thank you to Relic and Fortiche for making me feeling the same feels and awe I had in watching Star Wars 1977's hero story while watching a 2021's villain story 44 years later. Bravo!! Also, it is exciting seeing so many people enjoying/acknowledging great story writing when they see it. Gives me hope for the future of modern pop-culture content!
None of the characters who are in the game have died so far so it's safe to say Jayce and Victor will live, but I think Victor might get so badly injured he'll have to use that hex core to alter himself more.
Maaaan when a show gets you to feel bad for a character like Silco, you know you have a writing masterpiece in your hands! Damn! I just hope season 2 delivers, cuz it has HUGE shoes to fill now.
You're actually so perceptive, great reactions. Also great that you understood the Silco-Vander scene the first time you watched it. I guess it's easy to misunderstand but the scene's about Silco being in disbelief that he actually can't give up Jinx for his dream.
I wouldn't say "great". He loved her and was supportive of her, no questions on that front, but he also very much made her mental issues worse by manipulating her and making her believe Vi was dead, and then trying to keep her from the truth so he could keep her all to himself. And lets not forget that his "life lessons" and the line of work he pushed her into shaped her to be an unstable and remorseless killer. So no, not a "great father". He wasn't as bad as we could have expected, but he wasn't good for her health. I wish people could make the difference between a villain with redeeming qualities and a good person, just like many people seemingly can't make the difference between a disfunctional and manipulative yet sincere person and an actually good father (the latter would be Vander, whom Silco stabbed in the back, remember ?).
I wouldn't call Silco a great father because he turned a kid into a violent criminal, but Silco values loyalty and doesn't apply double standards for himself. He sacrificed his dreams for Jinx, which was epic.
@@RichardHorpe The problem with that is, silco doesn't see that violence as anything. Violence is a base for something he says so her being violet is nothing to hard to understand for him. And her relief was violence. And she seemed somewhat stable before vi came back. *Sip Tea* Even they way they talk like jinx didn't speak much about vi and her old life. He wanted her to forget the past and love on. Even if she was violent. It didn't matter she was ok in this state. At least not sitting in a corner and crying a bunch. She had more family in one man than anyone else.
Not sure I'd use the term "great father"... I guess the circumstances excuse alot of decisions and behaviors that would normally disqualify him but not really all of them. He let's her run loose with bombs and fully automatic weapons, getting into constant life or death battles, I'm not sure where the line goes while fighting a civil war but I'm pretty sure they've crossed it when you reach suicide bombing bridges. But he truly loved her tho, that's for sure.
Silco tried to kill Vi after she told him she was there for Powder then he tried to grab the gun before Jinx killed him. He was selfish, made her a criminal, never gave her sound positive advice or environment, yes he loved her but didn't do a good job at raising her. Great villain tho
I have an feeling that the reason why Jinx shot the rocket up against the consuls room, Were because She are probably Blaming them for everything that happened. After all Think about it, it was the Piltover that killed her parents, its because of them that she and the rest in the undercity had to live in such an horrible area, and because of that everything else happened in the story. So That's why I think she was willing to Blow the consuls up like that. She may even blame them for Silco's death even if its not their fault on that, but in her twisted mind it may seem like that.
Thank you for your sincere reaction! This is why I loved Arcane, for true emotions. Sadly some people I tried to share this with didn't understand what I'm talking about. But strangely, NOT ONE of all people I know, who said anything bad about Arcane to me watched all 9 episodes. Most of them watched first two with extreme disdain and constantly saying: "It's a child cartoon!" If they just shut up and watched... but no, they were too busy creating sarcastic remarcs instead of watching, later trying to figure out the simplest things that were shown literally fifteen frames before and shouting "I don't understand anything, it's because they made it out of a game!" :double facepalm: No, It's because we became lousy watchers, too used to simple stories that explain everything, not requiring a slightest effort.
yea thats the thing with unconditional love, as noble as it sounds, it isnt for the best sometimes, and that definitely was the case here. as mush as silco loved jinx unconditionally, he did what a bad parent would do, never discipline her. all good parents will discipline their children to avoid them from going down the wrong path, but he let her go there, he even supported it. he loved her yes. but it doesnt change the fact that he still used her for his gains. then theres vi, she loves powder, and even tho i think she knows herself that powder just isnt that person anymore, she has to try, she loves her so much, she doesnt want her to keep going down this path of no return. i think everyone will get this, as no one wants a family member to be a psychotic murderer, u cant really expect vi or anyone to be like, "hi sis, i see you just killed a hundred people, i freakin love u!" right? no one can. they both changed, it was never going to work how they both wanted. was there a chance? maybe, but saving jinx with shimmer threw what little chance they had left out the window. just asking vi to kill caitlyn was proof enough. could caitlyn really have done it? shoot jinx in front of vi? with their romance just being made? ofc not. she hesitated and got knocked out. it would be interesting too, to see where the relationship vi and caitlyn has been nurturing go, considering jinx most likely just killed her mother.
Silco was a truly amazing villain. His death was so emotional. You know the writing is great when you can cry for a man and his love for his adopted daughter just an episode after he broke into a young girls room and threatened her life in front of her dad.
At first eyes, but Jayce really wanted peace and silco zaun so wath would probably happened is silco lowering the demands in exchange of jinx safety, i mean he even offer his Head when he first talked to jayce.
This was realy an amazing show. They created such perfect characters, which had all great development. I realy loved that you cared for the relationship with Silco and Jinx.
I hope you know we had everything When you broke me and left these pieces I want you to hurt like you hurt me today and I want you to lose like I lose when I play: "What Could Have Been"
I think Sky would have loved for Viktor to spread her ashes there. She loved him, and he loved it there. She would have wanted her ashes to be spread wherever he was happiest.
God that has to be a reference to "Seven" with the " I paid your girlfriend/wife a visit this morning". Except that that time it was her head in the mail. I was just about leaping out of my seat in anguish.
Silco was sincere. He had a villain to Father Arc, rather he became his brother by the end. He thought if he empowered her and put her circumstances he had was Vander it would help her heal. Unfortunately It did not work out as well as he hoped it would. He did empower her and care for her. He was willing to give up his entire dream of a Free Zaun and even go to jail to keep JINX Safe. Silco did what Vander did. Vander gave up his dream for Vi & Powder ❤❤❤ talk about character growth of an anti-villain. Absolutely love JINX,Silco,Vander,Vi & Ekko❤❤❤ I am team JINX though, she hits too close to home. And now she’s alone after firing the missile, she just disappears. Leaving her sister And not killing Kaitlyn, which is significant. It was definitely a good gesture on behalf of Vi ❤❤❤
i don't want vi to completely move on/forget about jinx. like i don't want her to go just like "fuck jinx, she doesn't exist to me, powder's gone, its not my fault" etc. i know they're not just gonna go back to sunshine and rainbows, but i think by making her always carry that burden (that jinx is partly her fault) together with jinx is what gives their conflict weight. the conflict between them in the next seasons has the potential to be some of the best moments in cinematic history
Most likely everyone will die there, Jayce will save himself using a hextech defense, maybe he will save someone else. Victor will most likely die and hekcore will save him, bring him back to life. Caitlin's mother and the others probably won't survive. Caitlit will take the place of the captain, Vi will become her assistant, in the lower city she has nothing to do. Silvika will take the place of Silko. Heimerdinger and Ekko will take the third side in this confrontation. Mel 's mother will bring NOX to the war too, in order to take revenge, she will not be able to stand aside. Well, Jinx has already gone off the rails ... P.S. there is also a theory that Vander survived, but turned into a monster (Warwick from LoL, look like a werewolf)
well who know .. vander would be huge retcon since hes supposed to be singeds friend ... working for him long time before his change also warwick is 9 years older than Violet ... and vander definitely isnt 19-21 years old in show
I have watched AT LEAST 20 reactions to this Tea Party and there all the same. Everyone expects the classic Head on a Plate with an Apple in the Mouth; the first time I watched this, I was thinking, "that's WAY TO CLIETECHE. (Or maybe I'm wrong?)"

Wow that is beautiful.
@@Quitchy oh I know, I am just giving other optioins but I like that theory of it the most. Silco ended up being one of my favorite characters
The father-daughter dynamic between them leaves me with mixed chills 😭.
The tragedy of Jinx is that she truly lives up to that name, killing two of her childhood friends, contributing to the death of one father figure, directing killing another father figure & being the cause of war right as peace was in their grasp. She truly is a Jinx.
True, but for the last part, peace wasn't gonna happen anyways because Silco wasn't gonna give up Jinx no matter what.
Jinx is declaring war with Piltover on behalf of Silco.
not rly ... silco is character missing in lore created just for show

She has a sketch of Fishbones in episode 3 before she meets Silco. The scar over the left eye is most definitely an homage to her old man though
I never thought of this but I 100% agree and it makes sense
Vi: "What did you do??"
Jinx: "I made her a snack"
Vi: "She already a snacc.."
Jinx: "what?"
Vi: "what?"
I Like this xD
I love how the phrase "I made her a snack" can be interpreted as "made snack for her" or "made her into a snack".
The duality of it is fucking awesome depending on the character.
Same way how Vi was remembering others as people to cherish but then Jinx remembers them as her mistakes that whisper in her head.
Kinda gey duud

When she ran to him saying "No no no" and then the look on his face, man I've never cried like that for a villain before. The whole final ten minutes was amazing.
I think that's because Silco isn't a villain. He's an antagonist for sure, but his intentions are to free his people from oppression and to raise his adopted daughter to overcome her trauma. He's incredibly human.
@@Huskymon free his people, by poisoning them and ruling by fear? All silco did was oppress his people
The whole show is a 10/10 but the end of ep 3 and 7 togeheter with all of ep9 deserve better than a 10/10.
Jinx crying shimmer when she shoots the super mega death rocket was one of my favorite visuals.
Since everybody in league fandom just talks about vi, cait, jinx or viktor, im dedicating my last comment here to Jayce:
This episode was so good for Jayce, it made him justice, he was a character that ascended to power in piltover and that was so much pressure in his shoulders, you can see him being stressed in almost every scene, always getting influenced by other people opinions and interests, (he got influenced by heimer in the independence day speech, by mel all the time, by viktor, by mels mother, even by Vi when she convinced him to attack silco) And finally in this episode we got his change, killing that kid was a stop for him, Vi tries to convices him to keep fighting and we finally see him saying no.
Too bad Jinx decided on war for him :P
"it all makes sense no, brother... Is there anything as undoing as a daughter?“
Flawless monolog writing.
Also massive props to Jinx VA (Ella Purnell, I think)
Everyone does a really good job with the voice acting but everything about Jinx in the table scene is absolutely perfect.
Hell, it's almost too real.
Combined with, again, the absolutely brilliant character writing is hauntingly beautiful as much as it's scary and tragic.
You genuinely wanna hold, protect and comfort the psychotic murderer...
Takes a special kind of perfection to make that work.
100% agree like i still want her to find happiness even after that episode because of the beauty and depth in which her character was written
Just hurts.

And now she is alone again. That's too sad bro.
That because Silco WANTED the crazy criminal Jinx. He pushed her in that direction by constantly lying to her about VI.
The realistic outcome is it probably will get monopolized by the elites then civil war would've broken out, at the very least.

he was an evil man and yet his redemption was loving Jinx to the point he would burn the world to protect her from "them", that is why we love Silco, with all his flaws... and in the last moments he tries to make Jinx feel that she is loved and cared for. He tries to give her some psichological balance... but his death is the last straw that extinguishes powder last light and brings Jinx to the center stage
This show is a masterpiece. It should win best picture of 2021. ABSOLUTLY.
People who don't know: 15:00
People who know: 15:00
even if we already know that Caitlyn is alive, FOR A MOMENT WE BET THAT, WE THOUGHT THAT JINX DID THAT. Damn, this series is a masterpiece for this.
-"Don't cry, you're perfect."
Silco: a great villain and a very great father.
-If you want listen the full song of the finale: search What Could Have Been - Sting
He was a loving father...
I wouldnt call him great.
Letting your teenage daughter run around with hightech explosives and fully automatic weapons getting into life or death battles on a whim and suicide bombing bridges isn't really the telltale signs of a great father... Not even in a civil war.
@@F1rstWorldNomaD Yea Silco is a bad person in almost every way but he's loyal and sympathetic as a character.
The visual, the story, the music .... literally perfection
This episode was the perfect ending for the series so action packed and emotional. Great reaction Magy 😃
But other than that this show is PERFECT
I’ve been a gamer my entire life and I never played League of Legends (mostly because I’ve never been able to afford a PC) but now I am a HUGE fan of it just from this show.
People will tell you that peace wouldn't happen because Silco wouldn't give up Jinx, but I'm convinced once the council voted on peace, they would be able to find a compromise with Silco despite that.
yes this is exactly my thoughts about it too
Crazy how vander appeared to vi was happy and angelic but when people appear in front of jinx they are monsters
It's really a nice way of showing how both view their past.
this show is a masterpiece. like 10/10. from start to finish. Every characters are multidimensional
Viktor has some of the best lines that are worth remembering 🤷♂️
"I hope u know we had everything" in the song make me cry really...
After all, it took 6 years to complete season 1, but at least, now they don't need to go through the whole research and development of all the concept art and working pipeline with the CG software, and all the characters are modeled and textured, already, so they "only" need to animate them)
So looking forward for season 2 !
And so looking for the double treat of you reacting to it !
When I saw Powder become an unpredictable schizophrenic intelligent psychopath, I was completely chilled by her change of character, and the last part of the front row at the end was completely shocking.
I love the subtitles for your video.
Silco is dying. The subtitles:
"melancholy music continues"
Yes. Yes it does.
i just watched through your entire set of Arcane reactions, and i loved them. it was so interesting to see the point of view of someone who doesnt play the game, and doesnt know which characters are champions (and likely wont die) thank you!
One of the things I noticed in episode 3 I thought was interesting is silco took in jinx because Vi presumably abandoned Powder much like vander presumably abandoned silco. And I love how they tie it all together at the end.
Episode 9 was the best of all time everyone had tears 😭 season 2 is going to be an amazing season
What a series. What an amazing series. Absolutely brilliant.
I hope that season 2 will answer the biggest question of them all: wtf was Jayce and his mother doing out in a snow storm in ep4 flash back?
Guys; you should drop a 10/10 on imdb for this show. It really deserves it.
Can’t wait for Season 2 now
This is heartbreaking on final scene ...
I really like Jinx and Silco ,the characters feeling also affect me
thank u to do this REACTION video
Your voice sounds just like Neeko’s! She is a champion in league and she has my favorite voice in the whole game because its so unique and charming!
If Jinx didn't kill him, Violet would be dead and Jinx would've had to witness her sister die instead.
oh yes all of that is true, I haven’t forgotten he did a lot of bad things, but I liked the wasn’t just simply evil
@@MagicMagy Sorry I wasn't directing all of that at you ❤ Just in general. I like discussing the story. I look forward to more reactions 😊
It's gonna be SO painful waiting (most likely) 2 years for season 2 but if they make it as good as the first, let them take all the time they need I say.
I think the ending is great. You can infer so much, as you did. They did the best they could with 9 episodes
All the arcs are closed in the end, it's a really good ending for that.
What I have learned from the show is that there is no Black and White, is only Gray.
“That’s horrible, how can you end like that” MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. I’m dying for season 2 😭😭. I also love Silco, one of the best characters ever.
18:27 "don't cry magy, you're perfect"
You're actually so perceptive, great reactions.
Also great that you understood the Silco-Vander scene the first time you watched it. I guess it's easy to misunderstand but the scene's about Silco being in disbelief that he actually can't give up Jinx for his dream.
Glad im not the only one who is taking to tears by this
21:37 You literally said that so perfectly.
You’re literally the only reactor that understood Silco is a great father and that he never intended to use Jinx and loved for real
Finally someone with at least two neurons to understand that Silco loved her as a daughter, best villain!
I wouldn't call Silco a great father because he turned a kid into a violent criminal, but Silco values loyalty and doesn't apply double standards for himself. He sacrificed his dreams for Jinx, which was epic.
@@RichardHorpe
The problem with that is, silco doesn't see that violence as anything.
Violence is a base for something he says so her being violet is nothing to hard to understand for him.
And her relief was violence.
And she seemed somewhat stable before vi came back.
*Sip Tea*
Even they way they talk like jinx didn't speak much about vi and her old life.
Well, He is somekind of Crime Lord and He never have normal Family so, It's normal for Him not giving Good advice 🗿🗿🗿
Most of them watched first two with extreme disdain and constantly saying: "It's a child cartoon!"
If they just shut up and watched... but no, they were too busy creating sarcastic remarcs instead of watching, later trying to figure out the simplest things that were shown literally fifteen frames before and shouting "I don't understand anything, it's because they made it out of a game!" :double facepalm:
No, It's because we became lousy watchers, too used to simple stories that explain everything, not requiring a slightest effort.
What does your comment has to do with her reaction?😂
@@spicestrike1391 Indeed :D! I accidentally dropped out first paragraph of it without noticing )). Updated, thanks!
@@shipso6116 what a cool person 🔝keep it up
yea thats the thing with unconditional love, as noble as it sounds, it isnt for the best sometimes, and that definitely was the case here.
as mush as silco loved jinx unconditionally, he did what a bad parent would do, never discipline her. all good parents will discipline their children to avoid them from going down the wrong path, but he let her go there, he even supported it. he loved her yes. but it doesnt change the fact that he still used her for his gains.
then theres vi, she loves powder, and even tho i think she knows herself that powder just isnt that person anymore, she has to try, she loves her so much, she doesnt want her to keep going down this path of no return. i think everyone will get this, as no one wants a family member to be a psychotic murderer, u cant really expect vi or anyone to be like, "hi sis, i see you just killed a hundred people, i freakin love u!" right? no one can. they both changed, it was never going to work how they both wanted.
was there a chance? maybe, but saving jinx with shimmer threw what little chance they had left out the window. just asking vi to kill caitlyn was proof enough. could caitlyn really have done it? shoot jinx in front of vi? with their romance just being made? ofc not. she hesitated and got knocked out. it would be interesting too, to see where the relationship vi and caitlyn has been nurturing go, considering jinx most likely just killed her mother.
Great, great reactions, you are actually invested and genuine. Subscribed
Silco was a truly amazing villain. His death was so emotional. You know the writing is great when you can cry for a man and his love for his adopted daughter just an episode after he broke into a young girls room and threatened her life in front of her dad.
The musical score for this series has just been amazing. Such a great friggin' show.
This show was perfect. Totally blown away by it.
If Silco had refused to hand over Jinx, wouldn’t that peace agreement have fallen through anyway?
At first eyes, but Jayce really wanted peace and silco zaun so wath would probably happened is silco lowering the demands in exchange of jinx safety, i mean he even offer his Head when he first talked to jayce.
Jinx also completed the weapon. Silco probably never intended to use it, only to scare Piltover to give Zaun independence.
No, they already agreed.
Kind reminder that the name of her giant shark weapon in game is "Fishbones".
You know. After Silco. He loved undersea creatures.
I love that I found this channel, she is literally the cutest ever
This was realy an amazing show. They created such perfect characters, which had all great development.
I realy loved that you cared for the relationship with Silco and Jinx.
Well what can i say, when Jinx gets a pentakill usually the other team surrenders....
Silco is so good love jinx
69/10 this whole show
Everyone sayin no noo when jinx pointing the sharkgun rpg at the council .
Me: *constantly nodding* 🤣 (well ofc made me cry too m just sayin)
I hope you know we had everything
When you broke me and left these pieces

I want you to lose like I lose when I play:
"What Could Have Been"
Im just searching a youtuber to cry for real. Finally find it and im a man also cried for this episode
I was just about leaping out of my seat in anguish.
peace was never an option
Season 2 is announced, BUT it wont come out until 2023/24 sadly :(
nooooo really 😭😭don’t break my heart like that
i don't want vi to completely move on/forget about jinx. like i don't want her to go just like "fuck jinx, she doesn't exist to me, powder's gone, its not my fault" etc. i know they're not just gonna go back to sunshine and rainbows, but i think by making her always carry that burden (that jinx is partly her fault) together with jinx is what gives their conflict weight. the conflict between them in the next seasons has the potential to be some of the best moments in cinematic history
I just noticed that the voice for Jayce is Dan from Lucifer. Thanks for the reactions. Great as always!
Peace was never an option.
She: And the winner is....
Me: Jinx
"What could have been peace, is now war"
Don't cry, you're perfect!
haha we have the same reaction with that "am i interrupting" parallel
P.S. there is also a theory that Vander survived, but turned into a monster (Warwick from LoL, look like a werewolf)
well who know .. vander would be huge retcon since hes supposed to be singeds friend ... working for him long time before his change
also warwick is 9 years older than Violet ... and vander definitely isnt 19-21 years old in show
I have watched AT LEAST 20 reactions to this Tea Party and there all the same.
Everyone expects the classic Head on a Plate with an Apple in the Mouth; the first time I watched this, I was thinking, "that's WAY TO CLIETECHE. (Or maybe I'm wrong?)"
THE CAITLYN THING ALSO ALWAYS GETS ME 🤣 I THOUGHT IT WAS HER HEAD AT FIRST 🤣
