I have completely redesigned it, as soon as it cools down in Texas I'll be doing some runs. 2 big cans, a couple mamba monsters, a gt body, and the right gearing you'll be set to do a couple hundred mph. If you don't know Kevin Talbot check his channel out, he has 4 big cans in a highly modified limitless. 100 hp
@@GabrielHodge just 2 with the current gearing. I think ill get right around 100mph with 2 budget Onyx 70 amp escs, and 4000kv motors. Before I crashed it and totally destroyed it I got 69mph just under ¾ throttle. Things don't always go as planned though, lol.
Thanks! I slid into a tire after the 68.5 mph run, and forgot to start the gps, I was going faster but I'll never know how fast. I just finished rebuilding it with much higher mod 1 gearing, heavier shocks, shorter shocks for the front, stainless steel driveshaft, and wider, and a bit bigger diameter tires. Not sure if wide is the way to go, but I'll know soon. Take care!

It definitely does, I expect around 80mph from the stock gearing, and I'm hoping to go the fastest. There are quite a few people trying for this record. If you watch Birmingham Gt Rc 114 mph, at 17:30 pause it and set it to 25% speed, and watch closely from the left, you can see a rooster tail when he passed the camera at 114mph. I won't be using those for speed runs, I actually popped 2 of em over revving yesterday. I have contact foam tires which should work, but if not they actually have belted tires rated for 150+. Thanks for watching.

That´s an interesting build, but I think 125+ MPH is too much ... there is a benefit of a twin motor but it will not automatically double the top speed of a single motor. Good luck with your speed runs.
I did my 1st runs yesterday, I hit 51.5 on 2s, and 59.8mph on 3s and the spur stripped I left it plastic on purpose, I figured if the twins were badly out of sync it would show there. I did 10-15 runs on 2s on 2 separate days with no problem, and hit about the speed I expected. I'm hoping for 80 on 3s. I think the extra torque took the gear out. I tried to video, but I didn't do so well this time, I'm going to try again tomorrow if I can get the steel spur gear on.
@@RCOverKill The top speed result that you got is only the same as when using a single motor only, and even when we say that you will eventually hit 80-90 mph later on ... that is still very far from your 125+ MPH goal, so you got lot of works to do man ! Hope your next speed runs will be better 👍

So as long as reach each goal I set for myself I'm happy, I've always said I didn't try to make this one go triple digits until I gear up, 125 was never an immediate goal, if so I would have the same motors everyone is using, and the mm2 esc. I want to get there by my own testing. 👍
How do you add the 2nd motor? Get a 2nd motor mount and use an electric saw and cut it where I need it then drill holes under the chasis? I understand if it's a secret. 😆 I figure I can put two 540 motors together since its just collecting dust. 😆
No secret, give me an e mail, or I'm Papadoc_fpv on instagram you can dm me there for pics. It just takes patience to dremel to fit perfectly, the original screw hole under the bearing carriers is as deep as they could tap it, so I cut apart 2 original mounts, so that the right hole becomes the center hole, and the screw catches both sides. I couldn't get a shop to do anything for months, so I gave it a shot, and it couldn't be stronger unless it was a single piece.

@@FamilyMan1 It kind of looks like an indy car the way I have it setup, I made a carbon fiber front splitter, and a cf wing that sits 1 inch higher, and 1 inch farther back. My mistake on the rebuild is that I tried 45mm wide tires, and over 30mph it's like I'm on ice. I think there is to much surface area touching the ground for my weight, all I'm sure of is that 30mm tires were 100% better, and have ordered more. Thank you for any suggestions you may have, I've tried to educate myself, but we never know all there is to know

I have foams, 2 popped revving it up, I didn't go full throttle in the video because it kept jumping off the stand. I ran it yesterday, on 2s only 51mph, I laid into the throttle too hard on 3s, and the spur gear stripped all the teeth off at 59mph, think have a metal replacement, if so ll post a vid today. I clocked 68.8, mph, forgot to hit record, and did about 80 but slid into a tire, I have 3 twin motor builds coming soon, and a single motor speed runner. I completely moved motors to center, and lots of other things I hope work well. Thanks for stopping by, see ya soon.
@@programr101 I put a 4300kv in my 144001, and hit 62.5(my pb so far) also ending in a crash, mine hit a big pebble, and sent it into a slide, then rolled forever, nothing but my splitter, and gps case broke. I received the 124019 while fixing the 144001 back up, and it is more stable driving, better suited for a twin setup, so I might go back to the 144001 with a twin 2838,or 2845 build to try to reach 100+.. I was going to do that 1st but the spur has to be smaller, and the mount will be harder to make since I don't have the tools I need to fabricate one. Lol, damn I ramble about this stuff.
It runs well, no faster than a single motor, but I can gear it much higher with the torque of 2 motors. I messed up the 1st video, but got 51.5mph on 2s, and the spur gear stripped at 59.8mph. I installing a steel gear now. I'm hoping for a little over 70.
How important is it to keep the top brace in I'm in the process of rebuilding my 124019 and I bought the 120a ESC and 5200kv combo kit from surpass and with the fan on it won't fit I'm new to all this and trying to figure out best way to fit everything
I would keep the top brace, if you push down a little while trying to roll it the gears tighten, loosen when it flexes the other way. It'll run without it but with high power, or bashing I think it needs it.
I'll find out soon, I geared it way up there, Saturday if the weather allows. Edit: with stock gearing I drifted around on a basketball court for about an hour, and everything was cool. New gears will heat everything up I'm sure.
You can use any 3650 size motor. These are 70 amp Onyx escs, and 3650/4000 kv motors. The only time I ran it I got 69mph, but I crashed it. I completely rebuilt it with the motors center mounted, but I haven't ran it yet. I have 2 more with a budget set of 2840 motors, and one with twin stock motors, sooner or later I'll run em and post the results. Thanks for stopping by.

I think with the extra torque I can gear it high enough to break 100mph, possibly, and hopefully more. It drives really nice so far, I think because it's weighted equally it holds the road better. This one was built from 2 carefully cut single mounts, and fitted together. Now you can buy 3d printed dual mounts that work great from the Facebook group 124019 speedrun group. I don't remember his name, but just go ask someone else with dual motors where their getting them, and they'll hook you up.

@@mehimrc1314 lol, swearing doesn't bother me. I have some plans for the 144/124 series of cars no one has done yet, at least to something this small. Top speed is 109mph, Bigger 1/10 have gone over 150mph, I think at least 120 should be able to be acheived, I mean there isnt that much difference in size. I'm probably wrong, but I have to try. My thoughts are weight, weight distribution, and proper aerodynamics because they electronics will support that speed, we just got to keep it on the ground. Only time will tell.

Aerodynamics ect that Upto the person, only thing about weight distribution I'd try suggest is. Try adding weights plates into the suspension towers. Ok, it'll take a little while. It's all modifications I had to do to stock parts to make it work, so I'll have to show what I did already. There will be another 2 motor build with 2-2838 motors too. Waiting on parts now.

Yes, I'm running 2 Onyx, 70 amp, escs, mounted sideways because they fit nicely without trimming the plastic side pieces.

I think the strength with 2 motors is gearing. The motors don't even get warm now.

I have foams, 2 popped revving it up, I didn't go full throttle in the video because it kept jumping off the stand. I ran it yesterday, on 2s only 51mph, I laid into the throttle too hard on 3s, and the spur gear stripped all the teeth off at 59mph, think have a metal replacement, if so ll post a vid today. I clocked 68.8, mph, forgot to hit record, and did about 80 but slid into a tire, I have 3 twin motor builds coming soon, and a single motor speed runner. I completely moved motors to center, and lots of other things I hope work well. Thanks for stopping by, see ya soon.

@@RCOverKill i got my 144001 to 47 on 2s before an arm broke and smashed i nto q curb. Ive ordered parts and will have to rebuild it
@@programr101 I put a 4300kv in my 144001, and hit 62.5(my pb so far) also ending in a crash, mine hit a big pebble, and sent it into a slide, then rolled forever, nothing but my splitter, and gps case broke. I received the 124019 while fixing the 144001 back up, and it is more stable driving, better suited for a twin setup, so I might go back to the 144001 with a twin 2838,or 2845 build to try to reach 100+.. I was going to do that 1st but the spur has to be smaller, and the mount will be harder to make since I don't have the tools I need to fabricate one. Lol, damn I ramble about this stuff.

It runs well, no faster than a single motor, but I can gear it much higher with the torque of 2 motors. I messed up the 1st video, but got 51.5mph on 2s, and the spur gear stripped at 59.8mph. I installing a steel gear now. I'm hoping for a little over 70.

How important is it to keep the top brace in I'm in the process of rebuilding my 124019 and I bought the 120a ESC and 5200kv combo kit from surpass and with the fan on it won't fit I'm new to all this and trying to figure out best way to fit everything
I would keep the top brace, if you push down a little while trying to roll it the gears tighten, loosen when it flexes the other way. It'll run without it but with high power, or bashing I think it needs it.

I can give you my parts, or the best parts to get better speeds. I can also give you the cheapest way, but your taking a chance on quality.

I'll find out soon, I geared it way up there, Saturday if the weather allows. Edit: with stock gearing I drifted around on a basketball court for about an hour, and everything was cool. New gears will heat everything up I'm sure.

Hey um what motor and esc it’s that I’m trying to find the right motor and esc for the 124019
You can use any 3650 size motor. These are 70 amp Onyx escs, and 3650/4000 kv motors. The only time I ran it I got 69mph, but I crashed it. I completely rebuilt it with the motors center mounted, but I haven't ran it yet. I have 2 more with a budget set of 2840 motors, and one with twin stock motors, sooner or later I'll run em and post the results. Thanks for stopping by.

I think with the extra torque I can gear it high enough to break 100mph, possibly, and hopefully more. It drives really nice so far, I think because it's weighted equally it holds the road better. The biggest reason was because no one else had done it, and it also opens up other projects that could prove interesting. I appreciate you watching, and will post a run soon. Take care!

Where do we get the dual motor mount please
This one was built from 2 carefully cut single mounts, and fitted together. Now you can buy 3d printed dual mounts that work great from the Facebook group 124019 speedrun group. I don't remember his name, but just go ask someone else with dual motors where their getting them, and they'll hook you up.

@@mehimrc1314 lol, swearing doesn't bother me. I have some plans for the 144/124 series of cars no one has done yet, at least to something this small. Top speed is 109mph, Bigger 1/10 have gone over 150mph, I think at least 120 should be able to be acheived, I mean there isnt that much difference in size. I'm probably wrong, but I have to try. My thoughts are weight, weight distribution, and proper aerodynamics because they electronics will support that speed, we just got to keep it on the ground. Only time will tell.
@@RCOverKill all I can do is wish you luck and pray for your success. I imagine anything I tried to offer in the way of advice would be pointless to man such as your self. Aerodynamics ect that Upto the person, only thing about weight distribution I'd try suggest is. Try adding weights plates into the suspension towers. How does it work with 2 esc with one reciever?
You use a Y connector so the signal from the rx goes to both escs, once calibrated the work perfectly together.

Yea, I got em. Bought 30mm wide, and worked great, but liked the way the 45mm looks, but they don't drive as well.
Not to be a downer but all you really gain from all this is double tourque

Ok, it'll take a little while. It's all modifications I had to do to stock parts to make it work, so I'll have to show what I did already. There will be another 2 motor build with 2-2838 motors too. Waiting on parts now.
