    As a new pc owner, I wish I didn't let the cost keep me from switching over for so long.. I still have my ps5 and plan to keep it for the exclusive here and there of a franchise I like, like ff16 for example, but I will most definitely be getting those games again if they ever come to pc. The difference between performance and visuals on console and pc is night and day. I 100% believe that if you have only $500 to spend, you should get a console, but if you have more than $500 to spend a pc is a much better option.

    • @Raven.Bloodrot
      @Raven.Bloodrot ปีที่แล้ว

      When it comes to exclusives... Can't you just wait for the port ultimately you're gonna get a better experience on PC either way and if you wait it'll be at a cheaper cost. Ultimately if you only have $500 to spend, it's gonna cost more than that to get a console up and running as well considering the cost of live services and video games ($120+). You can build a budget end PC for just a bit more cash than that, hell you can build a decent PC for that price if you use the used market and it'll be a better experience than the console.

    1. PCs may cost more in the beginning but are cheaper in the long run and you save money.
    2. Consoles may be cheaper at the beginning but the cost and other factors make console more expensive in the long run.
    On console youre stuck with whatever hardware is built into the motberboard, little to no upgradibility, annual multiplayer subscription, little to no graphical options, fixed framerate,barely any bacwards compatibility, limited peripheral support, no multiple display support, no mod support, no part replacement as everything is literally soldered onto the motherboard.
    On PC you can do quite a lot of things aside from gaming that are too many to name.

You could easily buy or builds $500 pc it won’t be as powerful has the current gen consoles but you get all the advantages of pc gaming & then 2 years or whatever time goes by you can just upgrade, that’s what I’m bout to do with a $600 build (new to pc gaming )

    That article was complete BS. Where are all these supposed PC component failures that happen frequently? That has never been the case for me. Yes, my current PC had a hardware failure a couple years back: The Corsair (CX430) power supply started to shut down the PC randomly. However, this power supply had been IN USE FOR 10 YEARS!! A gaming PC I built in 2005 (and upgraded over time) still works. The only reason I don't use it anymore is because it's simply too slow for modern gaming.
    I do have a few consoles still (the Xboxes were given to me). My original Xbox still works, but I had to repair the DVD drive. My Xbox 360 sometimes won't read disks. My 3DO needs a new laser assembly. I'm an electronics technician, so yes, I can fix my consoles, but I probably won't bother. I've been a PC gamer for about 30 years now.

    as both a console and pc gamer, i’d say a pc is wayyy more worth than a console. However i do understand the people who counter the argument where consoles are better. In my honest opinion, consoles are more idiot-friendly when it comes to general use (although learning how to use a computer doesnt take long either). Maybe in the 2000-2015 era where games weren’t as demanding as they are now, a console would be a much cheaper and better alternative than a pc. But after having 90% of games released recently needing better hardware requirements, a pc would be much better

    it's not pc vs console, it's pc vs Sony, vs Microsoft, vs Nintendo. if you are on pc, you can get games though steam, origin, ubisoft, epic...etc. whereas, sony controls what game is on the platform. if a game is unavailable on steam, it will likely be available though epic or origin ( EA's web page, haven't used this in a long time, so i don't know it's status). this is not to mention that pc has all of the great creator tools, unreal engine, adobe premier, and blender.

    I think people prefering consoles are uneducated and they never really played on a good PC. Once you try those high frame rates, once you are quick and precise with the mouse, it is really difficult to justify how consoles could be superior. Even if we take initial cost into account, this is our hobby and unless you want nintendo or you only play GTA or FIFA, you have to go with PC. What nobody talks about is the ability to expand storage and have most of your library siting there, ready to go at any time. If you play a lot of games on consoles, you have to delete and re download stuff all the time. This alone makes consoles garbage for hardcore gamers. Don't come with usb external drives. They are slow as hell and expensive compared to internal sata ssd.
