@@brandondudley3202 Funny enough, same thing happened here. And out of all the jokes and trollings I've done to him, it was me being honest and saying I didn't care for Splatoon 3 or BOTW2 that got him to ban me. Kind of a pathetic whimper to go out on if you ask me.

I'm a proud owner of that "abject failure." It's honestly quite good. I picked it up mostly for JRPGs and visual novels, but it's been good for quite a few games.

He does play games on steam but he refunds them after playing them for 1-2 hours
If the Steam Deck is a failure then I don't quite know what any normal person would consider the Wii U to be. A glorifying success? This guy would probably find some way to come to that conclusion 😂
Than again the switch outsold the ps4 in America the steam deck is a successful handheld the switch is even a bigger success than the steam deck

Whats ironic is the steam deck can outperform the switch and emulate its games along with playing pc games from Steam.

steam deck performance is great I'm playing elden ring at 720p all high settings. if I played this guy's argument look at how bad monster hunter and Witcher 3 run on switch vs deck 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

As I said with the other guy, I can personally confirm that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was able to be emulated (albeit not perfectly, but well enough in many cases) a week before launch. These people really should research before they say "that's not true" and laughing like a moron. Metroid Dread was also able to be emulated before launch, if I'm remembering it correctly. Or maybe it was on launch day? And that one even had big articles about it being emulated, so it was hard to miss.
I also don't understand why you'd deny that we can emulate the games. It doesn't make the Switch a lesser console... well... not exactly. I guess if you want to mention that we can often emulate the games and make them run better, then yeah, that hurts the Switch's viability a little. However, as I understand it, a large draw of the Switch is its portability.
I just see no reason to lie. If you really love Nintendo (or any company) so much, you should want them to improve, not say "everything is perfect how it is!" That's not how anything improves, after all. True loyalty is wanting the best for the other party. This is closer to bootlicking.

I just tested the Halo Infinite big team battle on multiplayer - medium settings - it never once dipped below 30. Cant wait to see his footage of the Switch doing that... oh right...
Most of the issues i've had on the steam deck are to do with anti-cheat on multiplayer games and you cant blame the steamdeck for that...

When did anyone, including Valve, say you could play every game that is on steam on the steamdeck? We all knew that it could not and likely would not support the full steam catalog. I think he is just salty that people are emulating switch games on it.

Just bought the “abject failure” and I can say my switch is dead for me now, I could only afford like 5 games, but with the “abject failure” I actually have a good variety
Also when Nintendo switch online launched it deleted my splatoon save data after I beat the story so yeah I was fairly annoyed
One of the things I like about the Steam deck is that the OS is a custom Linux version. As more games are made compatible they normalize making games run on Linux

I'm looking to get a steam deck soon, such a great little device.
Can't believe its the same price (£350 in the uk) as a new switch OLED! Nintendo really dropped the ball with that one, they shouldve put updated hardware in the switch OLED,to charge an extra £100 for nothing more than a slightly bigger OLED screen, but with the same hardware as the original switch? Really? Steam deck is gonna be my next gaming purchase.
It's such a failure that you had to get on the list, and wait months to get one when it came out because they didn't make enough of them. Maybe that's what he means, they failed to anticipate how many people would want it at launch because it's pretty decent. Oh, and it plays tons of the games I already own.
I'm playing Elden Ring at high settings at 30fps, I'd like to see the switch do that.
Im a steam deck owner and play halo infinite you can play the game at 60fps if you limit the watt to 10 and put all the fsr on then in game set all graphics to low set upscale all the way low as you can then turn off anti-aliasing then that’s it you can play halo infinite at 60fpa
Imagine thinking a Nintendo game is worth any money at all.
If Deck had slightly better compatibility, bigger OLED screen (same resolution), and longer lasting battery, it would already be almost perfect.
steam has 60,000 games
and probably 90 percent of them work on linux through proton
