My winter wash is rinseless pump sprayed at home, drive to the self serve wash, rinse there and rinseless from the pump sprayer before driving home and rinseless on 2 microfiber towels and a twisted loop drying towel after I dress the tires. And rinseless on the interior using Yvans damp and dry towel method. Thanks for the TH-cam education 😎

Good looking BMW and excellent gloss for a one step polish! I have a daughter who is a senior in high school and her car care keeps me up at night. Hopefully we see this BMW back in six months!
We recently washed my son's CRV. He's had it for a couple of years and never washed it. That's him. The paint needed clay, badly, but the iron deposits were relatively minor. After a quick one step, there were a few scratches and the marring was relatively minor. Silver paint that looked a shade brighter afterwards. Hope to have inspired him. Probably not.
Have not gotten to try the whole line yet. Looking forward to trying some of the interior products. Stand outs for me so far, the Rinseless Wash, Ceramic Gloss, Gold Standard with the Waffle pad and the 8 year coating! 1 year in and it’s Still beading like day one❤
I like rinseless when the hose goes away(first frost here in CT, so bucket washes will be going away soon I'm sure). Typical bucket wash would include two buckets, foam, rinse, foam..... several wash mitts. I usually go to about the belt line first, then wash the bottoms with different mitts. Blow dry with a leaf blower... ceramic gloss on a gauntlet towel. Bingo, the vehicle is clean. I always clean the wheels and tires first once they've cooled. I L O V E The perforated synthetic decontamination towel!!!! I couldn't imagine NOT washing a vehicle in a year! No way!
I still haven't cracked the code with vehicle polishing. I haven't stepped into that degree of detailing yet, it's kinda intimidating to me haha. But I feel like I want to adopt the DIY Detail method when I start to get into polishing. I definitely would want a cordless polisher though, I hate dragging around electric cables.
I have different ways of washing my car depending on how dirty it is! I’ve done the two bucket method! I’ve done the multiple wash mitts! I’ve done one wash bucket with one ☝️ mitt! Do what makes a sense! If you enjoy it who can can it’s the wrong way! Jut have fun 👍
“cars can tell their own stories.” you bet they can! in 2018 i sold my black audi and bought a rust-free red S10 from an old timer. in 2022 while doing a pre-sale detail, i disassembled the center console and found two packs of rubbers and a tube of KY! both had expired over a decade ago 😂
I do the same thing with all my trigger nozzles with strong chemicals. I even go the extra mile and put my nozzle in watter and spray the nozzle to rinse out everything inside
So good. I’ve been doing the 2 foam method for a couple of years. Pre wash first then second foam for contact lube. But I do still tend to have 2 buckets just because I’m really clumsy and drop my mitt on floor on occasion so rinse it off before going back on. I should prob detail my drive but I’ve only got dad time to get it done.
Another great video from DIY. Question Nick, with DIY decontamination towel, can you use DIY Rinseless Wash as a clay lube? Or is Incredible Suds better as clay lube?
Great video. Ive been using different products over the years and getting kind of confused with al the new product names across your range. Just to clarify is incredibe suds a car shampoo or a foam or can you use incredible suds as both a foam and shampoo?
Great video. Question ❓ I sprayed iron remover and used non abrasive mitt on my car. I wasn't able to fully remove all the contaminates. Do I use iron remover again and clay bar? Or do I polish the car to remove like the 10 or 5 percent of contaminates that was left?
Yvan, I was surprised to see you with a mit in your hand instead of the Legacy spounge--might be a first for me. Did you guys use the ceramic spray in conjunction with the wipe off from the polish, like in another video Yvan did? Lastly, I have two orders waiting to be processed and can't wait to get them. Thanks guys!!!
Great video and reminded me it is time for my annual deep clean as well! For many years, have been performing an annual deep clean to remove and then apply 2 coats of a Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine Hybrid Sealant Spray Wax polymer sealant that lasts one year. I use rinseless wash about once a month to keep my garage kept daily driver clean. I am now running low on my half gallon of Purple Power Vehicle & Boat Wash (pH10) which I dilute 1 oz to 3 gallons of water that I have been using for the annual deep clean to remove the old sealant. To replace the Purple Power, would it be advisable to use DIY Rinseless at a higher concentration and with your fine grade clay towel and be as effective in getting down to totally clean paint? Or would DIY All Clean perform better than either for the deep clean in preparation for the 2 coats of polymer sealant? Thanks and love your videos! Doug
Just another though. I see you use wash mitts instead of legacy sponge when washing with incredible suds. Is the legacy sponge only to be used with a rinseless wash? Is is possible to use the legacy sponge with incredible suds?
Great video guys. To be honest, quite good to see a “real-world” dirty car being attacked. Most videos you and Pan upload about detailing cars, are of reasonably clean cars that an average weekend-warrior would not call dirty 😆Do you have any retail partners in the EU for your products?
Hi I’ve got my ik foamer and I fill it with incredible suds and take it with me to self serve car wash. Would it be safe to use Incredible suds with the car wash’s “pre soak” ? Your products are awesome I got a whole box of them.
My car has wax on it will this decontamination towel strip off the wax or is it safe to use, also if it is safe to use how often should you use it like once a month. I usually wash my car every weekend. Thanks guys just recently found your channel and I subscribed
Depends on the strength of the wax. A decontamination towel, or mitt shouldn't strip a wax or ceramic off a car. And you really should only decontaminate your paint when its needed. Maybe once to twice a year, maybe slightly more depending on where you live or how your weather is.
Waiting for my All Clean to arrive to try it out.. though, I had to get the 128oz because the smaller bottle wasn't available.... as for my wheel Barrels... Can't really do much with my cars 6 pot brembos.. rears Kinda..
Great video guys. I’m in UK and using up my Bilt Hamber BH products on my not too dirty car before I switch to DIY. I’m finding spraying BH Surfex HD and then BH autofoam then letting it dwell before a good contact wash with a bit of ONR in it I’m still getting dirt on my wash mitt. If your wash mit is used it may hold on to dirt like wash mits are supposed to. Maybe switch to a new mit or several towels and see if the problem persists
Did you not use panel prep after polishing? I couldn't tell if that was panel prep or ceramic gloss you did after the polishing. Also, with these steps how long before you would need to reapply ceramic gloss, wax etc... ( assuming you aren't going to put on a ceramic coating at some point).
I believe I know the answer but, here it goes. I bought the IK foamer with the battery powered option. Do you recommend using the All Clean on the wheels and wheel wells and using the incredible suds on the rest of the car? I only have one foamer so, I'm trying to determine which one to use the foamer on. I don't have a compressor so, the IK is the only means to foam. Also, I bought a gallon of Rinseless, incredible suds and All Clean. I probably didn't need all 3 right? Oh, I believe the only product that, doesn't foam is the rinseless right?
Thank you, yes all 3 might be a little overkill, DIY Detail Rinseless Wash will foam but not as much. If you’re washing your car regularly there’s no need for DIY Detail All Clean for wheel cleaning.
How come you didn't apply waterspot remover since you did all the prepping? Is this recommended for coated cars so that the coating gets revived or only if there are waterspots? My water is pretty filled with minerals and when it rains lately the water is also very dirty. Wouldn't it be a good idea to to use waterspot remover a few times a year to maintain the coating?
@@diydetailofficial amazing! I would have never thought of it that way, but really makes sense to me. I feel a brush will help with the bugs but even more would be around the headlights, grill and all the different levels… vs a sponge or towel. Thanks
Would you have used the brush on the paint if you weren’t planning to polish the car already? Also is it necessary to do a chemical decon wash before or during the physical/towel decon? Or is it fine to use the towel with rinseless as a lubricant without the iron/bug remover
Yes the brush is safe. A chemical and mechanical decontamination is the best practice, but the Perforated Synthetic Decontamination Towel can be used with just DIY Detail Rinseless Wash or DIY Detail Incredible Suds alone.
I noticed nick spraying ceramic gloss on his rag instead of on the car toward the end of video. I habe ceramic gloss and this made me ask should I soray ceramic gloss on my car and wipe or on towel and wipe?
I know the DIY Detail guys have always expressed that they absolutely prefer to spray their products on their towels then wipe. In all honestly, its all preference... whatever works best for you.
Haven´t washed mine in 2 years, except of course inside the car. You basically add a 2nd coat ofprotctant by doing so xD After washing the car again it looks as new and it saves money. I also don´t care how my car looks. It´s a tool to get me from one point to an other nothing more nothing less, it just should work. Oil changes and all that stuff is 1000x more important. Polishing the car all the time will destroy the clear coat way sooner. The car doesn´t even look bad for being not washed in 1 year.
Hey guys I was dumb and forgot to decontaminate my car paint before I washed it. When it was wet I sprayed with quick beads and rinsed after 30 seconds when drying off the car with the ceramic gloss spray. I noticed these streaks marks that were really are to remove. If i follow the steps in this video using the all clean then the suds then contact wash. Will that get rid of the marks? Or would this require a polish or bluff?
Here is my 10 Step DIY Detail Wash Method: 1) Iron Remover: (Optional as needed) Use in a well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight as the product has a powerful and unpleasant odor. Spray Iron Remover (IR) directly onto a cool surface (wheel or panel) and allow it to dwell for 4-5 minutes. Lightly agitate, if necessary, any ferrous particles will dissolve, forming a purple solution. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface. Rinse off or layer All Clean Multipurpose Cleaner overtop as part of Pre-Treatment. 2) Pre-Treatment: Spray All Clean (AC) ready to use bottle or dilute 15:1 in pump sprayer to foam lower vehicle body panels, wheels, tires and contaminated areas (avoiding windows). 3) Pre-Wash: Add 30 ml or 1 oz of Incredible Suds (IS) to water in a foam gun/cannon and stir. Spray IS overtop the AC and allow it to dwell. Scrub lower body panels and areas with heavy contamination of dirt, grime, bugs, bird droppings etc. using a mitt or soft bristle brush. 4) Wheels & Tires: Empty contents of foam gun/cannon into a dedicated wheel wash bucket with 3-4 gallons of water and froth. Scrub wheel wells, barrels, wheels and tires using a wheel & tire brush. Rinse the vehicle from top to bottom removing all soap and chemicals. 5) Contact Wash: Refill foam cannon with 30ml or 1 oz of IS and stir. Spray IS starting at the top and working down and around the entire vehicle. Empty contents of foam gun/cannon into a clean wash bucket with 3-4 gallons of water and add another 30-60 ml or l -2 oz of IS to the wash bucket, add water to froth. Soak a plush wash mitt or Legacy Sponge in the bucket and wash one panel at a time using straight lines with minimal pressure. Flip the mitt or sponge after each panel or as needed and dip into the IS wash bucket after using both sides. 6) Decontamination: Use DIY Clay Towel (synthetic decontamination perforated towel) with Iron Remover, Ceramic Gloss or Quick Beads depending on lubricant needs. Shake the bottle to mix well before applying.*Be sure to break-in a new Clay Towel by first using it on a window to remove the factory coating. Soak the Clay Towel in the wash bucket to lubricate. Fold the Clay Towel into four equal sides. Spray once on the Clay Towel, once on the panel then deposit the Clay Towel where sprayed on the panel. starting at the top and working down and around the entire vehicle saving the bottom half for last. Same process no matter which lubricant is used (IR, CG or QB). Using minimal pressure rub the Clay Towel in a smooth motion against the panel until it gently glides across the surface. After using all four sides of the Clay Towel, dip it in the wash bucket to clean and lubricate. Continue the process until all panels are decontaminated. Rinse the vehicle thoroughly from top to bottom. 7) Seal & Protect Option 1- Ceramic Gloss (CG): Shake the bottle to mix well before applying. After the vehicle has been rinsed and is still wet, lightly mist detail spray into the drying towel and onto the intended surface. Wipe with a clean, dry plush microfiber towel, buffing until the product is removed to create a protected streak-free shine. 8) Seal & Protect Option 2-Quick Beads (QB):Shake the bottle to mix well before applying. After the vehicle has been rinsed and is still wet, lightly mist QB detail spray over the entire exterior surface of the vehicle including windows and wheels. Let Quick Beads dwell on the exterior of the vehicle for 30-60 seconds. Rinse off starting at the bottom of the vehicle and working up to the top to activate QB. Continue to spray until the foaming action disappears. Dry off the vehicle with a premium drying towel. Starting with the glass first. If used in direct sunlight only apply to one panel at a time and rinse after 15 seconds. 9) Tire Dressing: Spray directly onto clean, dry tires evenly. Allow the product to penetrate, then wipe away excess. For best results, apply to clean and dry tires. 10) Interior Clean & Protect: This car interior protectant spray is a jack-of-all trades and can clean every single surface inside your car from the dashboard to glass, plastic, vinyl, and more. For the best results, spray the interior car cleaning product onto a clean microfiber cloth or towel to avoid overspray. Wipe the interior surface evenly with a microfiber cloth, repeat until your vehicle’s interior surfaces are clean and dressed. Wipe away any excess product or buff to reduce shine.
Probably the reason the vehicle did not seem like it hadn't been washed in a year is because the daughter was away at college and you mostly walk everywhere you need to go while there. The only time you need to drive is when returning home once a month and for holidays. Also the college I went to had a parking garage so it was not exposed to the elements everyday. Mystery Solved!
@@diydetailofficial Can you guys maybe do a video on dealing with chemical runoff for beginners and people with shops and mobile detailers? Hardly anybody covers the issue
There's no way has that car not been washed in over a year. The wheels are way too clean, where's the thick layer of brake dust and traffic film?. How many miles did they drive in that year, just 2? My wheels are coated and they look worse than that after a month. I think someone has told you a fib
@@diydetailofficial it could've just been the wheels that have been done more recently or maybe I couldn't see all the contaminants but you know, and I'm sure that you've cleaned a fair few dirty daily runners in your time too, that a year is a lot of grime to accumulate on the wheel. It may have just been not driven often or in "bad" conditions, unfortunately the uk weather makes car maintenance a constant battle all throughout the year
@@diydetailofficial the camera never does justice. Thanks for the replies. Is your decon towel back in stock in the uk? I am waiting for my supplier to get them
@@diydetailofficial If the brush were truly "completely safe" for the paint, we'd opt for it over microfiber wash mitts to clean car paint. Let's be realistic here; you're aware it's causing scratches on the paint 100% of the time.

Water based, longevity is extremely dependent on how it’s used.

Will the decontamination towel scratch paint?
There's always a possibility, but decontamination towels are very safe for paint, just use a lot of lubrication!
Not if you follow our instructions.
Are you okay to use the same wheel and body brush on the tires and then the front surface? Or is it two different wheel and body brushes?
Any brush or tool that is used for wheels should never see an inch of the car outside of the wheels. Just safer to use different brushes/ tools.
Yes, if properly rinsed. What’s on the front of the car( insect remains) is often more abrasive than what’s on the wheels

Can the decontamination towel be used on PPF clear or matte black PPF?
Yes
Just making sure I understand, u didn’t use water spot remover because u used the decontamination towel?
We didn’t use DIY Detail Water Spot Remover because it didn’t need it.
When would you use the water spot remover? Thanks
Sir, what would a service like this cost. On average?
$250 and up
I noticed you didn’t use a panel prep before you applied the ceramic gloss?
No need
how can i determine in what situations to apply all clean before my "foam-rinse-foam"
It’s rarely needed
I noticed nick spraying ceramic gloss on his rag instead of on the car toward the end of video. I habe ceramic gloss and this made me ask should I soray ceramic gloss on my car and wipe or on towel and wipe?
I know the DIY Detail guys have always expressed that they absolutely prefer to spray their products on their towels then wipe. In all honestly, its all preference... whatever works best for you.
Thanks and keep up the great work
The choice is your
Love ur channel! How long does a decontamination towel last ballpark?
Hundreds of cars if well maintained
@@diydetailofficial awesome!
@@diydetailofficial just rinse off after use and let dry?
Yes
Is your ironremover designed to use with your towel? Or is this a method that works with every ”good brand” iron remover?
It definitely doesn’t work with all brands. Yes ours was specifically designed with this method in mind.
Haven´t washed mine in 2 years, except of course inside the car. You basically add a 2nd coat ofprotctant by doing so xD
After washing the car again it looks as new and it saves money.
Everyone has different priorities.
@@diydetailofficial True. 👍
Is DIY Detail at SEMA this year?
No
Hey guys I was dumb and forgot to decontaminate my car paint before I washed it.
I did a pre wash/rinse as well before applying the second round of soap to the car. I have black paint.
Yes, a good wash should clean it up. More than likely you used too much DIY Detail Quick Beads
@@diydetailofficial okay cool. thank you so much for the reply!
Can you iron with APC before contact wash?
Yes
How do you add more clear coat
@cloutgangster you pay a body shop to respray it 😆

Bonjour de Montréal!
Hello
What bucket is that?
From a local restaurant supply
Let's go!
Thanks
Here is my 10 Step DIY Detail Wash Method:
1) Iron Remover: (Optional as needed) Use in a well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight as the product has a powerful and unpleasant odor.
Thank you for taking the time to write that.
Ready to roll
Thanks
Probably the reason the vehicle did not seem like it hadn't been washed in a year is because the daughter was away at college and you mostly walk everywhere you need to go while there. The only time you need to drive is when returning home once a month and for holidays. Also the college I went to had a parking garage so it was not exposed to the elements everyday. Mystery Solved!
We will have to ask the owner
How do you guys deal with chemical runoff?
We have a drain with a garage triple trap system.
@@diydetailofficial Can you guys maybe do a video on dealing with chemical runoff for beginners and people with shops and mobile detailers? Hardly anybody covers the issue

Sorry. It is difficult to focus on the video with so many advertisements interruptions. Otherwise good job like always 👍🏻
Sorry about that, we don’t have control over when ads run but that’s part of the TH-cam experience unfortunately…unless you pay for TH-cam premium 😕
One bucket for rims and the other for soap
Yes
If that car was extremely dirty… Mines buggered 😂
Dirt hides from the camera
I'd like to see a DIY Detail video in French.
We have one, but will be making others soon
There's no way has that car not been washed in over a year. The wheels are way too clean, where's the thick layer of brake dust and traffic film?. How many miles did they drive in that year, just 2? My wheels are coated and they look worse than that after a month. I think someone has told you a fib
They have never lied to us before, this family’s cars have been on our channel frequently.
@@diydetailofficial it could've just been the wheels that have been done more recently or maybe I couldn't see all the contaminants but you know, and I'm sure that you've cleaned a fair few dirty daily runners in your time too, that a year is a lot of grime to accumulate on the wheel. It may have just been not driven often or in "bad" conditions, unfortunately the uk weather makes car maintenance a constant battle all throughout the year
@ItsMeYourRealDad the camera doesn’t really show how dirty a car actually is.
@@diydetailofficial the camera never does justice. Thanks for the replies. Is your decon towel back in stock in the uk? I am waiting for my supplier to get them
They are one the way.
5:03 I can't believe he's doing that. Is this supposed to be a joke?
No joke, that brush is very safe.
Not a joke, it’s completely safe on paint.
@@diydetailofficial If the brush were truly "completely safe" for the paint, we'd opt for it over microfiber wash mitts to clean car paint. Let's be realistic here; you're aware it's causing scratches on the paint 100% of the time.
Give it a try, you will be very surprised.
My car gets dirtier in a week than this bmw in a year
That’s not fun
Well that’s a pain in the butt 😂😂
Indeed 😂
