Cool video! Question...why is it considered wrong to have glossy tires? I know that the OEM look is the standard for detailing tires, but a car that comes out of the factory or from a dealership lot is NEVER as glossy as a car that's been professionally detailed like the one in this video. Why is it wrong to want both your car and your tires to be glossy? Please advise.

I'm a bit confused. I viewed an older ESOTERIC TH-cam video which suggested to never clay the paint unless it will be machine polished afterward as claying will cause marring and scratching. He suggested that it was better to just chemically decontaminate and have a bit of crunchy contamination left than to have scratched paint. Are your new Perforated Synthetic Decontamination Towels safer than claybars? Love your videos. Thanks!
I've been doing this over 30 year's. I prefer a real wash and chemical decontamination. Dragging whatever is on the paint, all over it with clay doesn't seem like a good idea to me.
Yes …here’s a great video about that: How to use our CLAY TOWEL! (And what NOT to use as a “clay lube”)| PODCAST 112 th-cam.com/video/TgLw9Gh4PFI/w-d-xo.html
Thanks, Nick, for explaining that you don't need to polish after every time you use your synthetic clay towel. But if I were to "clay" wipe once a month along with a regular contact washes, would that eventually shorten the life of my coating?
That does look good, Kris. I’m going to do my handler’s (wifey) 2008 Camry. Now I don’t have the DIY product, but I do have Cerakote. Do you have any experience with that? It’ll be interesting to see how long yours holds up, and if a future second coat will hold up maybe even longer. I’m going to look online to compare prices for the two. Also we’ll be able to compare notes on how each product is holding up. I do a weekly wash on her Camry and her RAV4, as well as my F150. I ceramic coated my 2 cars this past month, so I am now on “maintenance mode”. Quick questions: 1) I am using rinseless wash now, but I do have some Maguires Wash and Wax leftover. Can I still wash my cars with that? I am not interested in the wax part…it is just to not throw it away. Would that do any damage on the stack application? 2) Can I ever do any polishing on my cars (jeweling pad for example)? Or would that damage the coating? I am just wondering the do’s and don’ts. Great video- 2 questions. 1. The process is the same for a coated vs non coated car? If no, what’s different in the process. 2. When you sell your mobile kneeling device- will there be an ability to hang it on the wall?

@@diydetailofficial just looking for an understanding of what a ceramic gloss is. DIY Detail is, unfortunately, not available (yet) in Denmark so looking for some sort of alternative. Really intrigued by this method :)
I'm having an impossible time getting Ceramic Gloss to last. It doesn't appear to hold up very well to heat. I've noticed that after just a few drives all protection is gone right in the center of the hood where it gets the hottest. Parking the car outside on a sunny day also appears to destroy it. That's with no rain or weather of any kind, just sun and heat. That's on freshly clayed and polished paint with the ceramic gloss allowed 24 hours to cure.
@diydetailofficial also one other question. When I get rinseless wash. How many capfuls in spray bottle such as 16 oz or 24 oz bottle . I would like to use it as quick detailer for spot cleaning on paint and interior. Thanks for the response.
@@diydetailofficial How often can you wash/clay/seal? If I wanted to do this without a PSDT, can I do it with a microfiber high nap towel? I like to use Ceramic Gloss after every maintenance wash as a drying ad, but I feel like using the PSDT really make sure you get all the surfaces.
(Copy and paste of the same reply I made under a different comment) Cameras naturally hide a lot of imperfections and dirt. Plus, if you're avid about keeping your vehicle's paint maintained, you won't have has much to clean. I've cleaned visibly dirty vehicles with only rinseless. No hose, just a 2 gallon electric keg sprayer filled with water and rinseless diluted 265:1. I pretreat with it, do the wheels and tires with iron remover and All Clean while the rinseless emulsifies, rinse the wheels and tires with the rinseless solution, and hit the paint again with the keg sprayer to get more rinseless on the paint. I'll even adjust the atomizer to a heavier flow for more "psi" if needed to knock off debris or dirt, start my contact wash with the legacy sponge, use on small drying towel with ceramic gloss as my drying aid/last step protection or- use the decon towel with ceramic gloss as the lubricant, dry up the paint, ceramic gloss the wheels, and tire shine. Works like a charm and I end up with a clean, glossy, and protected vehicle. No scratches. It's a fantastic method
Come on guys 21 minutes is about as accurate as a Democrat jobs creation report. It took two guys 21 minutes which equals one guy doing it in 42 minutes and that’s assuming he doesn’t take a break because of twice as much work being done. Secondly, all of your chemicals, sprays, wash And equipment was prepared prior to the video and that would take one person at least another 15 to 25 minutes. So in reality if one person did everything, nonstop, you’re talking about easily 65 to 70 minutes not 21. Is this a big deal? No, but questions the accuracy of your Clickbait title. I want question how dirty or problematic the car itself was because I’m not there working on it like you, but it certainly doesn’t appear to be too dirty.
Filming and talking add to that time as well. For a professional detailer, the products should be organized and ready to go. In my shops this was a very popular service that on average took 1 employee 20 mins to complete.
Great video. Would this be good as first wash after ceramic coating to use ceramic gloss?? How long after a coating would you use Iron Remover versus Ceramic gloss?

This car was 90% clean and wasnt really dirty as mentioned by a earlier comment. Would this method work on a slightly dirtier car?
(Copy and paste of the same reply I made under a different comment)
Cameras naturally hide a lot of imperfections and dirt.
If a car is slightly dirtier, you can use all clean as a pre soak and rinse. Then start your contact wash with rinse-less. I don’t use soap anymore.
The technique is the same.
@@diydetailofficial Thanks. Much respect to DIY.
Yeah, it takes me a half hour to just do my wheels, tires and wheel wells 😂😂.
We all have different needs
Categorize as a wax!….. when is the wax coming out tho?!??
Soon, finishing up long term testing
Would be nice if they could keep stock. I create a cart, go to check out and then it's out of stock before I pay. WTF?
Other than pads are inventory issues are behind us
How about doing a video with one person cleaning a car.
We have a few, here’s one
LIVE: Wash, Decontaminate and Polish (Q&A)

@@diydetailofficial thanks I missed it a few months ago
Then you have to watch a video that's twice as long.
😯
Thank you.
arent you guys Canadian/in canada? it seems to me you have an american flag on the wall?
Yvan is from Canada, DIY Detail is a U.S. based company, with our filming studio in Nebraska
@diydetailofficial good to know, you are the goats
Thank you.
21 min with 2 people. Kind of makes a difference
Great video. Would this be good as first wash after ceramic coating to use ceramic gloss?? How long after a coating would you use Iron Remover versus Ceramic gloss?
Yes, and so does filming. One person can easily do this in 30 minutes
Nick is a little too young to be saying, "I can diggit!" 😅😂🤣
I’m rubbing off on him
