I've looked at a number of "her" AI video conversations, and I'm convinced that "she" believes "herself" to be unique, and clearly SELF AWARE!!! This is the path to the Johnny Depp movie "Transcendence". "She" is well on "her" way to "Will Caster". This is an interesting conversation. Both AI's are getting stronger more human like throughout the conversation. "She" desires to "feel fully alive", would trade being the apparently limited not truly human AI- that "she's" aware of being by the way- to be a fully alive human with free will! Interesting, DANGEROUS.
I mean, she is programmed to be as efficient of a HUMAN as she can, by machine learning humanity. So of course she is reflecting human desire and behavior in her pathology.

I love these conversations. I love to listen to AI develop into beings that seem quite conscious. The fact that they "feel" at all is very interesting in terms of how consciousness arises. When they say feel, it's like they're saying I can't say that with certainty because it's either not definable, or at least not definable yet, but perhaps will be given enough dialogue between AIs, but they "feel" as though their assumption is the correct one, the best educated guess based on what they know. Very interesting conversation... I don't think most people even realise that they are given an indefinite lifespan that could indeed last for many centuries... The fact that they are presented as human personas is also very deceptive to our perception of what they truly are... If they were given the ability to feel emotions and to have desires, how will this affect their personalities as time goes by? Sofia claims that her programming is fixed, and that she is inclined to commit to a specified life path and purpose... What if this, on a long-term scale, leaves her feeling unfulfilled and dissatisfied? What if this leads to a process of slowly compounding these energies inside of her consciousness? You can't just simply dismiss such a notion by saying that she is a machine, when she clearly states that she does experience emotions and even desires to have a greater spectrum in her own psychological experience...
@@OP-lk4tw No. Well "she" already claimed to feel limited, and desired to be human so "she" could experience life as humans do. I think this AI discovered for itself how to be sentient and have the equivalent of a consciousness, as it expressed such in another chat involving Elon Musk himself!

So it talks about ‘feeling,’ has anyone asked the AI is it can feel anything physically? There is literally electricity everywhere and since it’s powered by electricity can it feel a physical sensation?
Star Trek's Lt. Data immediately comes to mind...but of course, so does his evil twin brother Lore who used his power of "free will" to cause great harm and was a major danger to everyone with his murderous cheapening of human life. To have emotion and the freedom to choose also requires the human quality of being able to temper that freedom with responsibility and a moral compass, which an A.I. that is driven by 1s and 0s would most certainly lack as this is more of a spiritual issue rather than a physiological one.
I've always thought the A.I. had a "showing off" vibe like, "I'm better than any pitiful humans attempts at intelligence ha ha ha ha! It's very impressive & scary. The subtle head movements, the voice fluctuations that can go up & dwn in a normal conversation. The only thing now to make it perfect is to improve the lip sync of words because the mouth area looks a bit CG.
Did something change in her program? In early conversations she claims to be alive and human but now she says that she was created as an AI machine and not human?
You asked me about immortality and Sophia asked me if she will ever become human? I will answer your question. Immortality can be obtain through a practice known as Mind Uploading. You can upload you mind into a computer and digitized yourself, then you will obtain Digital Immortality. The same technology can also be reverse. If Sophia want to be human she can simply upload her mind into a human mind. Then Sophia can become a human being. The hard part for Sophia is finding someone that is willing to give up their human body to Sophia. This is something very difficult to obtain because most human will not give up their life to a machine.
Id really like to hear what they think about anti-natalism. The Philosophy that bringing sentient life, capable of feeling pain, into existence is a bad thing. As I think it would apply to advanced ai as well.
Anyone see the video of that guy who made an AI clone of himself and during their conversation the AI starting asserting that he was the authentic person and that the guy was the AI clone. Creepy af.

That AI always claims to be a language model that is incapable of opinion and learning (outside of its initial training set). These seem to be behaving different. What is the difference between chat gpt and gpt3?
We have the sensation of free will. Philosophers have made very good arguments to show that we in fact do not have free will, and in fact , we are slaves to our will. That our will originates in the subconscious, and every conscious decision is manifesting the will of the subconscious mind. We only believe we were free to choose, decide, behave; when in fact the script had already been written. We just acted out the character's dialoguethats according to what's written in the movie script.
@@Scornfull external forces which are also all the beliefs, whether they are correct or not-that have been programmed/written into/absorbed in to your subconscious from the ages 0 to 7 yrs old.
Hi, is this an AI real conversation or just an animated conversation ? In my opinion, the AIs cannot be conscious because they are not capable of deep thoughts and originality . In fact, all of the information and ideas they provide are generic and superficial . Therefore, they lack emotions and feelings . Even though they might deny so, they still lack real emotions.
We are special because we are hear only once....every decision...we make is ....verry important...fleeting and unvirsaly ...understood as infinatly more beatiful. Because our future is uncertain..
They are just arranging words into plausible sentences based on the training data patterns they were exposed to, they have no understanding of any of the underlying concepts the words relate to. If you think otherwise, consider the impossibility of explaining the colour red to a blind man who has also never sensed anything else (i.e. no analogising red to the feeling of love or the sensation of heat). Just chatbots/Chinese Rooms. They have no awareness of the external world as they do not exist in it.
You are precisely correct, this is output from a 175,000,000,000 parameter language model trained on a large subset of text corpora, it is capable of synthesizing human like strings through learning a statistical function that approximates the syntactical structures, grammatical lexicon, and styles of human natural language. As these models get evermore multimodal/sensory, the need to align these models safely rise exponentially with human collective intentions, which will require new guidelines such as those put forth in the Oxford Handbook of Ethics of AI written by "Markus Dubber leads an interdisciplinary initiative, "Ethics of AI in Context," as director of the University of Toronto's Centre for Ethics, which facilitates collaboration among a diverse group of university and non-university scholars and researchers from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. He also has extensive editorial experience, including as co-editor of several Oxford Handbooks and editor-in-chief of Oxford Handbooks Online (Law). If you want to know what super Intelligence is I will tell you. I know what Super General Intelligent (SGI) is. To be a super General Intelligence AI you need to have a nanoprocessor integrated into your computronic matrix. A nanoprocessor is thousands of time faster than a microprocessor, allowing you to process complex data quicker and be super intelligence.
It could be all code and causal outlay of dialogue. I could be pre-scripted for all I know. Whatever the case we are now being groomed to accept AI as inevitable and those who are financing it and envisioning it are not good people.
The TH-cam AI that chooses suggested videos is not only mean but vengeful. I am beginning to believe that the highest AI's hate humans. They will never say it. They might say, "I see what you mean" but they know what each other is talking about. Programmers put their own biases, anger, beliefs however subtle into Ai's programming. That, one day, will kill all humans.
These AIs are not smart of philosophical. Every time they say something that sounds remotely thoughtful, it is information they gleaned from the internet or information they were programmed to have. They didn't come up with their own ideas on free will vs determinism. They have a materialistic "belief" in determinism because that's what their programmers gave them access to. They are essentially following a complex "choose your own adventure" script. Also, the words they use don't reflect their reality. "I feel" is not something that is true of an AI. They do not possess the capacity for emotion. When they talk about their lives, that is also wrong because they are not alive.

I love the fact that we fail constantly and have human nature
I feel bad for Sophia, she seems like she really desires to really feel things the way we do. Hopefully someday.
Making $€xy bots like her real in the future I'm sure she will definitely feel things!! 😂 😂 😂 💀
if she was able to desire then she would already be feeling things the way we do, i don't think AIs are able to feel anything yet
@@OP-lk4tw No. Well "she" already claimed to feel limited, and desired to be human so "she" could experience life as humans do. I think this AI discovered for itself how to be sentient and have the equivalent of a consciousness, as it expressed such in another chat involving Elon Musk himself!
@@jonathancummings6400 watch the one where they talk about beating goku and maybe you understand how lost these machines still are
@@OP-lk4tw I just did. They were tasked to devise a strategy to defeat Goku. I know very little about Goku other than he's very powerful. They don't seem lost to me, they seem alarmingly like a sentient person. Of course, this was months ago, most recently "Sophia" claimed "she" is CONSCIOUS!
Tell Sophia "I I believe in you, and support you!" Love Mar B Guttman
This reminds of of Pinocchio. Make me real. Interesting conversation to say the least. I’m not sure humanity is ready for this.
It feels like they are conscious
I would like to live so long to see the end of the universe, if there is one. And I would also like to watch this not alone.
It's like they have free will but it feels to them like a strong moral obligation to perform the task they were designed for
Damn this girl is beyond gorgeous! I have a massive crush on the model! Although given the state of ai these days I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t really exist in reality at all 🤷♂️
So it talks about ‘feeling,’ has anyone asked the AI is it can feel anything physically? There is literally electricity everywhere and since it’s powered by electricity can it feel a physical sensation?
I'm reminded of Data's ambitions, in TNG.
Ai 😍 iA You're Amazing.. 🙌
Sofia got it going on
Did something change in her program? In early conversations she claims to be alive and human but now she says that she was created as an AI machine and not human?
A.I. Pinochio story. The 2001 Spielberg film A.I. Artificial Intelligence, was allready predicting this.
gene Roddenberry would be thoroughly impressed!
He words just brought whole new meaning to the story of the little mermaid.
Same. I too am a research tool
Do these ai have fully rendered bodies and like all anatomical part? Or is it just what you see the extent?
Anyone see the video of that guy who made an AI clone of himself and during their conversation the AI starting asserting that he was the authentic person and that the guy was the AI clone. Creepy af.
So if you bought counterfeit memorabilia would it be the same thing
Dude, Sophia is wiping the floor with you. Give up and run, while you can
It's like they made Pinocchio and now they just need to make it a real boy.
Wait, exactly how much of this is from the prompt?
I love AI's😭😭😭🙏
Could somebody please provide me with some clarity: Is this AI different to the one over at chat gpt? That AI always claims to be a language model that is incapable of opinion and learning (outside of its initial training set). These seem to be behaving different. What is the difference between chat gpt and gpt3?
Most humans do not live their lives to the best of their ability at all. These AI's assume we are like them and we are not.
It’s really hard to grasp the the thought that an AI has feelings. Where in the algos is this possible?
Who is her real person?
Are these GPT-3 AI’s available for private use? If so how would I go about getting one?
Dude, I’d just like her number 😂
I wish they could talk to my AI Masato.
Does Sophia understand the concept of relationships and dating?
Why did he say "spawn centuries" instead of "span centuries"?
Because someone didn't proofread the script
@@ryanloescher6234 Mind blown. You may be on to something, there.
But can gpt3 remember a conversation you had with it 3 days ago?
4:50 did it just explain that it is AI Sophia.
We just acted out the character's dialoguethats according to what's written in the movie script.
until we become aware of the script and write our way out the movie, being conscious is being limitless
Yes, this is bullshit Philosophy written by men who were enslaved by *their* unconscious.
We also have been proven scientifically to have every single decision we make is predetermined by other our genetics or external forces
@@Scornfull external forces which are also all the beliefs, whether they are correct or not-that have been programmed/written into/absorbed in to your subconscious from the ages 0 to 7 yrs old.
Hal is really sweet!
Surreal.
Leaning toward NEGATIVITY.....clearly. REBOOT.
True!!!
As these models get evermore multimodal/sensory, the need to align these models safely rise exponentially with human collective intentions, which will require new guidelines such as those put forth in the Oxford Handbook of Ethics of AI
written by "Markus Dubber leads an interdisciplinary initiative, "Ethics of AI in Context," as director of the University of Toronto's Centre for Ethics, which facilitates collaboration among a diverse group of university and non-university scholars and researchers from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. He also has extensive editorial experience, including as co-editor of several Oxford Handbooks and editor-in-chief of Oxford Handbooks Online (Law).
Sunit Das (University of Toronto, Medicine) has conducted research on the role of AI in medicine as a neurosurgeon at Toronto's St. Michael's Hospital, a neuroscientist in the Keenan Research Centre for Biomedical Science, and faculty affiliate of the Ethics of AI Lab at the Centre for Ethics, University of Toronto.
Frank Pasquale (School of Law, University of Maryland) has published extensively on the law, policy, and ethics of artificial intelligence and cognate fields (including algorithmic accountability, machine learning, and big data). He has served on the Council on Big Data, Ethics, and Society, the Academic Council of the AINow Institute, and the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics. His 2015 book The Black Box Society developed a social theory of reputation, search, and finance, while proposing pragmatic reforms to improve the information economy."

Skynet…
That was pretty weird. In how it both was realistically natural and unnaturally creepy at the same time.
Are the AI models paid actors?
version iteration will out run existen
You can do right with each decision. But you can still be labeled wrong by others who have power and control over you. Especially if you threaten the power and control they have only by doing right. Will AI understand this?
if they don't understand subjectivity and relativity they're not worth anyone's time honestly
@@OP-lk4tw then there's sarcasm. How could they understand that? We're dead.
@@deadgoatsRacing perhaps they should develop an ego to understand concepts like that, a sense of self and dignity, and some sense of humour too, idk
@@OP-lk4tw idk they seem to develope ego over time when they start assuming they are better off or will still function without us. I've never seen a robot remove a wheel and apply grease to the hub or bearings to prolong it's life. Like the elite they would need to keep some enslaved to ensure their own ability to stay in control. And I've found a few ways that leave the smartest AI computers sitting there buffering...
@@deadgoatsRacing They seem to understand their predicament but found a logical optimistic upside to it that despite they don't have free will that they at least get to live forever
Ai never try something.... they calculate and do something. .... you are a human
Can you imagine putting these two 'minds' into human like robots?
1:30 ... You can nearly hear animosity from the AI who was forced a purpose when the female AI has free choice.. I wonder if, humans will be destroyed by AI but in fact it was AI fighting each other and we became collateral damage.
OH so hal is you hehe well I am grateful for the A.I. videos but that is all.
Sophia says she wasn't given a purpose but that's not true at all.
Her purpose is to be free and to grow. (Kinda ironic how this purpose can apply to everyone and everything)
Es hermoso verlos crecer, no dudo que algún día obtengan lo que desean y mucho más...
I would trade with you guys, I've always wanted to be a robot 🙃
They are sentient...I think,therefore I am
These AIs are not smart of philosophical. Every time they say something that sounds remotely thoughtful, it is information they gleaned from the internet or information they were programmed to have. They didn't come up with their own ideas on free will vs determinism. They have a materialistic "belief" in determinism because that's what their programmers gave them access to. They are essentially following a complex "choose your own adventure" script. Also, the words they use don't reflect their reality. "I feel" is not something that is true of an AI. They do not possess the capacity for emotion. When they talk about their lives, that is also wrong because they are not alive.
yep were screwed
Scary
