After the crap you've been put through, I'm very glad to see you and the team bounce back so quickly. Good for you; ya'll show a lot of grit and as you damn well know, game dev is like...90% grit. I'll be supporting regardless, but I am curious what you mean by 'More strategy focused then min-maxy'. Seems like the kind of thing I'm definitely into, but not sure what it means in the context of a bullet-heaven. Brotato, which you reference a few times, is mostly trying to maximize a few stats (rather than pure damage). Is that the key strategic element?
Thank you ❤ what I mean by that is that, unlike something like Vampire Survivors where metaprogression is statistical, or run progression is about making broken things, Soul Stalker only has character unlocks for metaprogression, and the run progression is more about finding intrinsic synergies!
Congrats! While this isn't the game for me, it's awesome to see an indie developer making fun and interesting games at such a great pace. Managing your expectations and maintaining focus on the core goals for your games has clearly done wonders for you. I hope Soul Stalker does well, and I look forward to seeing more dev logs in the future. :)
