How do you handle art and assets? I know how to program but all my games end up looking bad because I am not an artist. I have no Idea how even you setup your lighting scene in your games to look so good.

The only thing I can think of is if blight town from dark souls 1 was above ground and 2d. It allows for platforms and ramps, but you could argue that it's still a building, just with no walls and roof.

What did you use to make the models, environments, dungeons and textures, thats what in currently stuck on.

I'm sort of doing something similar. I decided to make my game (2d point and click adventure) in phases. So I went back to the simplest form of adventure game the "choose your own adventure" style game. Then I will star to gradually add things in phases. Independent navigation from the decision point, eventually clickable decision points. One phase will have some static images. Basically building the game multiple times, while trying to use as much from the previous phase as possible.

This looks cool! What % of the assets are original? Either way, you've done a good job at level design.

The game is listed again on eShop - are there any updates on this "re-release"? Would you see any money from a purchase? Is it even properly playable?

Ender Lilies has an above-average amount of above-ground areas. The trick is that the overall map is not a singular 2D slice of a world. So on the flat in-game map, the forest appears to be beneath the town, but the "reality" is more like the forest and town sit at different z-axis locations in the game. In other words, the forest is south-east of the starting region and the town is north-east of it, so you generally keep traveling right to reach both, but there's a fork in the path at one point. Rain World is another game that basically uses multiple layers to create 3D space in a 2D game. All regions have 3 layers of map, and regions themselves can overlap with one-another, and as a result there are a lot of above-ground areas to traverse.

How to make a Metroidvania NOT underground... Make it in a space station. 😅

Google trends shows interest in a topic, not how much content there is for it. For example is unreal engine referred to as unreal engine or is it referred to as UEX? Is all interest from "unity" in the unity game engine or is it because unity is a common word? For example, changing the terms to >unity tutorial >unreal tutorial >unreal engine tutorial >ue5 tutorial Will show how this works. There is more interest in unity tutorials than unreal tutorials but if you factor in the other two terms related to unreal it becomes about the same. If you include one of these terms alongside unity it barely registers. You can see the large spike on unity corresponds with the unity drama, and the spike is mirrored in the other search terms you provided, perhaps hinting that people are looking to change engines or laymen who are reading about unity are curious what the other products are.

Maybe a mushroom who could go in its hat (I don't know what to call it) but then it becomes like a top or koopa from Mario where it spins and knock back enemy's?

I have this dream game idea, like, almost fully laid out, but I'm kinda struggling with how I would divide this into 10 or less parts? I was thinking of a third person shooter with both regular weapons and spells, but also a character system, similar to the likes of Valorant or R6S, where anyone could use all but a few weapons, but all have different abilities, a cartoon style, like almost like the style of Rivals 2, both PvP and PvE options, and an afterlife system where players become ghosts on deaths, but only in certain modes, or something? I guess how I'd divide it would be; -TPS combat with spells -Character system -Cartoony style -I guess PvP/PvE? -Ghost system I guess this is how I'd do it? I know I sound incompetent (I'm not), but I really want to make something cool. Also, random, did you use a lot of tutorials for mechanics, or did you mess around with the code and find out?
