  • The process is pretty much the same for the 2007+ Mini lever.

    Great video, thank you

Nice informative video 👌🏻for rounded off reservoir cap bolts I found a good engineering vice to grip the heads an loosen off works great! And replace with larger head raised or button heads, using titanium m3 on some levers 🙂👍🏻

Titanium option sounds nice. If it was a set of mint levers I would get some, I tend to run stainless steel torx m3 just top avoid the problem in the future.

I’ve just rebuilt my mini lever, connected it up to mono mini calliper also rebuilt with new seals,6mm braided line, all tightened up,now it will not bleed....😐🤷🏼‍♂️.....filled reservoir and when lever is pumped it does not seem to go down? Bleed nipple undoing etc....I’m confused....🤔

Appears the bleed nipple is leaking air out of the thread 🤷🏼‍♂️once pinched up I see air bubbles too 🤔,I’ve cleaned it out and it appears to seat correct…the nipple when threaded in seems very loose and
‘Wobbly’ but tightens up fine 🤨,I’ve tried two other nipples …if the caliper is ruined I was thinking of an engineer friend to tap it and try that …🤔🤷🏼‍♂️👍🏻

If my lever has no resistance. No return! Is this the piston and Spring that needs to be replaced?

Yes it could be a spring problem. The piston might be okay. I have not encountered that specific problem so it is a bit strange to me. I have yet to see a spring fail.
Sometimes if the piston seals have swollen due to age or people using the wrong fluid the piston can get stuck down, this would result in the lever not moving at all.

lol you dont need a "cobalt" drill bit to drill a 2mm screw you can drill that with a pair of scissors

      There is a mini rebuild - th-cam.com/video/DPfdSEJj15Y/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=OddJobMTB.
These levers were used with a lot of different calipers, from 2 piston up to 6 piston but the process is similar.

@@harveylanyon4581 I.S to I.S HBIS20 or HBIS40 depending on disc size. Very late reply but might be useful for other people.
