This cart is an absolute clown show. The GPL issues are just the tip of the iceberg.
Be sure to update the firmware to 1.06 or later. There's a game that can brick this card because they messed up a save patch...and a broken save patch normally wouldn't be a problem beyond just shelving the game and waiting for a patch down the line.
But nope not with this thing. Apparently you can reflash most of the flash chip this cart uses to store it's internal rom with standard save commands (that Japanese game you see when you first put card in the console). Hell just trying to overwrite the cart's save in homebrew like GodMode9i will brick it to where it won't boot from the menu anymore. That's less likely to happen though unless you get your cards mixed up while using any save tools. But I'm sure someone is bound to make that mistake eventually! Especially with the less technically inclined folks who might think putting a save on the cart with a save tool like GodMode9i would allow transferring their save from a legit game to this cart....Oh god....this is a train wreck waiting to happen.
This cart is just bad and I'm surprised how many youtubers have missed this. At least you seem to be aware of the problems this cart has. :D

Back when I first ordered this cart, there was literally no video about it on TH-cam so I figured I would try to be the first (that failed pretty quickly). During that time I talked with others on the DS(i) Homebrew Discord server to see if they had any useful info on it. They're the people who informed me of several of these issues early on, and I knew I would have to cover them in this video. I didn't mind buying a not great product to see if it had any value at all and to warn people since I will mostly still use Twilight Menu on my DSi to play games lol. Far better compatibility than this thing, and less of a chance of a random brick.

You’re being way too easy on the EZ Flash Parallel. Just admit that it’s a terrible flash cart. It does NOT support sleep mode and in my case, the card shell is too thick and gets stuck in my DS Lite’s slot-1. The maker is showing no interest to fix the sleep mode issue and they have admitted that they will not add any new features until a high amount of units are sold.
I wasn't aware of the no sleep mode thing, so that's why it wasn't included in this video. I know overall it's not as good as other flash carts, but I keep finding out more and more bad things about it as people comment on this video. The thickness I just figured is normal with after market carts, I have several bootlegs that are like that and some other after market carts on other systems as well.
