Great tutorial! I'm excited to make my first quilt jacket. I had trouble printing actual size as adobe was adding margins/borders. Printing poster size worked best for me. And using the layers to print just my size was helpful when it was time to cut.

Not that I've heard of - if you email us at orders @ grainlinestudio.com Jon knows more about the printing than I do.

I purchased this pattern and now I am finding out that the collar is a separate pattern if I want a collar I am totally disappointed in this as the pattern itself wasn't cheap I understand the price was well worth the purchase of the pattern however I feel that the collar and such should have been included in the original pattern since this came out in 2016 and is now 2022 I believe I will now be going with out the collar sadly because I don't want to spend another 15 to 20.00 on this sadlyi do thank you for sharing your videos it has been a great thing as I have never sewn clothing only made quilts I have yet to finish one jacket with this pattern I have everything cut out I am ready to quilt it ham excited to see the end result but so wish I could do a collar again thank you for sharing your awesome video you exp[lain every step precisely and that is so worth watching it over and over until I get it

Hi Leann- sorry to hear you're disappointed. The add on for the collar and hood is an additional $10 so you won't need to spend $15-20 on it. Since the pattern came out in 2016 and is one of our top sellers, it made more sense to make the hood and collar an additional add-on so that people who have already bought the pattern have access to it. It was also something we developed separately from the original pattern and unfortunately pattern development can be quite expensive. We also do provide many resources for free so we hope that these plus our drafting and instruction quality make the $10 add on worth it to you but if not we completely understand.

Do you have to adjust the size you choose based on the amount you lose from quilting? and thanks for the sewalong!

Nope, you shouldn't need to adjust anything. We designed the pattern with the quilting in mind!

Is there any reason not to use a metal ruler with an old rotary blade on a regular cutting mat?

You definitely can if you have one laying around! I always wrap mine up right away and toss them so it's just not something I had access to.
