  • Join us as we sew the the Tamarack Jacket! We originally released the Tamarack Jacket back in 2016 and it has now been drafted in our 14-30 size range. We've also released a collar, hood & patch pockets add-on to help you create the quilted jacket of your dreams.
    During this series we'll cover all aspects involved in creating your own Tamarack Jacket. From fabric selection, help with batting, to quilting best practices and assembly, we're covering everything!
    Today it's finally time to cut our jackets! Learn our best practices for cutting, see how I cut my lining, batting, and learn why I'm cutting my main fabric flat. I also walk you through how to easily get a print to line up across your jacket.
    You can purchase the Tamarack Jacket pattern as well as the Collar, Hood & Patch Pockets Add-On on our website here: grainlinestudio.com/collectio...
    The pattern for our pattern weights is free for newsletter subscribers. You can find it here: grainlinestudio.com/products/...

    Is the seam allowance included in the sizing or do I need to add that before tracing onto the material?

    Would it be okay to quilt the fabric before cutting it out?

    • @jenniferbeeman
      @jenniferbeeman 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep you can do that too, a lot of people use old quilts or pre-quilted fabric and they look great!
